Very much a PS2 game, and that's good.
It goes well next to previously released Gungrave Gore, No More Heroes 3 and Evil West.
On my wishlist it goes.

@NeThZOR The PS5 disc surely has the previous version, so you can play without updating.

Well, if I want to play it now, i'll just insert the PS5 disc version and disconnect from the internet so it doesn't update.

Would want a Jeanne D'arc remake instead, but that is a Sony IP, and everybody knows that they don't want to remake or remaster their old jrpgs.

How, will it be cheaper?

Already have physical PS5 copy ordered for that bonus steelbook, though I might sell the steelbook for some cash return.

This year is already packed with jrpgs, and they keep announcing games.
At this point I am happy I don't even have a Switch cause there are even more coming on that platform.

If you are a physical collector I'd grab a copy sooner than later. I have a feeling stocks of this aren't that big.
I'm still waiting for some big price drops. 30 Euros for a physical copy is the max I can spare.

@Oscarjpc Do you really think Gamepass is the future? I keep hearing all these streaming companies (Disney, Netflix, HBO) are losing money.
Once MS starts putting a lot of in house Triple A (50-300 mill costs) games into gamepass and they still don't reach 50 million subscribers I think they'll start to doubt their business decision.
They are the only ones with the money to do this anyway, atm.

@LIMA a good HDR TV is at least 1k Euro during Black Friday, usualy 1.5 k. Anything below that won't give you proper HDR experience.

A very good feature for people who don't have a TV or maybe share one with other people.

I don't buy digital games, unless they go for crazy prices, like the recent 3€ for XCOM 2 deal.

@koffing They would get money on first party but not third party games, which is like 95% of them, unless they launch their own PC store.
But, let's be honest, nobody would use another storefront on PC. We all know that PC gamers hate every store apart from Steam.

@koffing It's not good business for Sony to make it PC compatible due to Steam monopoly on the market.
You'd buy their headset, but all third party games will be purchased from Steam, so no money for Sony.

I've said since they announced PSVR2 that they should have made a PS4 portable. The technology is available.
With the Switch 2 rumored to not be that powerful, a portable Playstation would do very well.

Are there any male characters in this game? From all the footage I've seen, there are only women.

@LightningLeader;@sanderson72, My fear is that this will be a Switch exclusive, which it might, considering that Vanillaware don't benefit from a big budget and they don't have a history of multi platform releases.
And, let's not kid ourselves, the Switch is the main platform for Indie, Visual Novel or smaller JRPGs now.

@Matej I wouldn't call the SteamDeck an usable handheld. It's big, ugly, heavy and the battery won't last long.
The Switch is very obsolete hardware.
I would just wait for the Switch 2 at this point.

I don't know how they expected 5 mil from a Horror game and new IP. As someone else said it, I don't think even Dead Space hit those numbers.

Not yet, but will get a copy when price drops below 40€, physical of course.

Will definitely buy a copy but I'm waiting for some price cuts on the physical version, which usually happens quick on Bandai Namco games.

@Fight_Teza_Fight Honestly HBO Max is the only streaming service worth paying for, and it's also the cheapest, in my opinion.

I find it weird that Sony is showing of a car, psvr and a controller but nothing about their new TV lineup, while LG and Samsung are making waves with their new 2023 TVs. I wonders if they'll just continue to sell just the 2022 models this year, or they are waiting for that new Mediatek chip for TVs.

@Mostik GT7 plat is not very hard, but fun, you don't even have to win the online races.
Anyway, I'm still playing the game long time after doing the platinum.
Just hope Sony brings us a Forza Horizon rival in the future.

Might be just because the PS5 copy is sold out. At least where I'm from, no retailer has PS5 copies of Crisis Core.

They'll need to keep the supply up for Japan in order for FF XVI to do good numbers, or else they'll piss off Square Enix. And I don't think they'll wanna piss off SQEN, their top third party partner atm.

Looks good, but not touching a made in China game. Maybe if it was from HK, while it still has that western influence.

I only played the PSP versions, I'd say that was a 7 so this surely is 8 or above.
Does anybody know if this one also caps at 9999 damage? Hated that in the PSP game.

@Dezzy70 I don't think the 4 hdmi 2.1 ports thing is such a big deal for most people. It's just fomo created by reviewers and youtubers. Even so, I suspect we'll see complete gaming features on Sony TVs next year.

@NEStalgia can't take anything you say now seriously because of your massive judgment error. It's impossible for them to replace the current M.2 SSD with a standard one as the games released so far have beem specificaly made for that exact spec. Will bring major problems if the games don't receive patches to expect a much slower SSD. Seems you are passive aggresive to Sony and some of us can smell it.

I'm not so sure this will be released on PS, though I would very much like it to, with a physical also.

I can guarantee that more PC users pirated this game than purchased it legit.
I know first hand of some people who showed me how they downloaded pirated version on release day.
To those who say there are 2 billion PCs, 90% of those are work laptops that can't even play AAA games from 5 years ago.

It should have been named RPG Football. There is only one Football, the one played with the feet.

I want to play this game, but this style of music is very offputing to me.

Man, would be good for Sony to acquire them and give them a proper modern engine. All Falcom games still look like upscaled Vita ports.

WTF? Dirt 5 is very good. I'm still playing from time to time.

@KundaliniRising333 Agree. It seems like a good game, but that pop in is horrible. For a fast paced game, that's a no buy until they patch it.

This is why I haven't bought the PS4 version. Was waiting for a PS5 physical release. Yea, I'm that guy that wants the PS5 text on the boxart, even though I have both systems.

Returnal deserved a better score.

Eh, at that price it will fail for sure. Maybe if that happens, they will focus on making a handheld instead of VR.

@DiggleDog Pc gaming went full digital because of the low adoption of blue ray drives, also a used copy is useless because the activation code is one time only.

It must be something like that patent in India for the PS5 brand made by some individual. That's why they coudn't launch the PS5 there from start.

It's for sure because of Persona 5 R. I've seen somewhere that it has around 30k players simoultaneously.
I guess the hype was greater for the JRPG.
