@danzoEX Well they won't be getting the FF7 Remake trilogy until it's finished on playstation, but they didn't even show Visions of Mana which is meant to be coming this year and those FF9 Remake rumours were way off unless it's at the Nintendo Direct.
@GamingFan4Lyf Tbf Xbox had the better showcase last year and the year before, with some of the games shown today announced back then as well, and Playstation are still out selling them 3-1. So at this point it doesn't matter what xbox show they aren't going to make much difference, atleast not this gen anyway.
@Decimateh-xblz Yeah I think 2025/26 will be huge for Playstation, and I expect the same will happen to Xbox Game Studios as all their titles seem to be coming over the next two years so after that they will have a quiet period again.
@Bez87 Three publishers in one showcase and xbox have way more money to pay for stuff to be shown although most are still a few years away and some game getting shown again after also being shown at last year's showcase.
@itsfoz Tbf Xbox can afford to show a lot (literally), there was three publishers there to show their stuff and that's what 70 billion gets you. People need to accept they can't keep comparing Sony to Microsoft in terms of first party content.
@ArcadeHeroes I'm not buying that story though, apparently it was meant to be included in the main game but had to leave it out due to their development cycle, so as it was meant to be included with the game then it should be free and included in an update, not something to purchase and download off the store.
@ATaco If you have an Xbox then yeah I see no reason why you wouldn't be playing it there, but for playstation players we have no choice than to play to Atlus's ridiculous business decisions or miss out.
I see SGF as a platform to promote games most gamers wouldn't normally look at. Indies and AA are the main focus, some devs pretty much need SGF to promote their games, game that won't show up on sites like this and get lost in the sea of playstation store games.
I suppose this works both ways, get Nintendo/Lego players interested in Playstation games and get Playstation players interested in playing more Lego games.
@get2sammyb Don't forget Concord, with Lego Horizon, Astro Bot, Concord and HellDivers 2 all in one year, I hope this shuts up the trolls who complain about Sony only having 3rd Person cinematic adventure games.
@TrickyDicky99 Those young Switch owners will get to an age where they lose interest in the Switch 2/3 etc and want to play the biggest AAA games and popular live service games, and Playstation will be the only option.
Lego is mainly aimed at children, most children have a Nintendo Switch as their Console so this decision makes absolute sense and is a sound strategy, pretty sure the previous lego games (star wars I believe) also sold best on Switch so I wouldn't be surprised if this game also sells best on Nintendo, which would be strange to see.
@Shinnok789 I don't know about you but for me the last two Horizon games definitely weren't 80-100 hours, I clocked both games between the 40-50 hour mark and that's with their DLC's.
Fortnite has over 500 million players, yet the internet would make you think no one at all likes live service games. Not every game has to cater to you...
There's hundreds of single player games for every one live service game, but instead of enjoying those games people would rather spend time focusing on hating that one game 🤦.
@Keyblade-Dan Well Overwatch 2 has had so much bad press since release and it's fans have lost some faith in the series, on steam it's review score is "overwhelmingly negative", so a new Hero Shooter may get those players attention and maybe is just what's needed to give them (Blizzard) a kick up the a** and make them improve the game.
People need to remember this isn't a free to play full of MTX game like Fortnite, Apex Legends, Call of Duty Warzone, Overwatch 2, Counter Strike and Destiny 2. They aren't chasing that kind of game, it's a buy now multiplayer title which everything can be earnt and unlocked in game, their revenue is coming from game sales not MTX. People keep saying Sony are chasing the cash grab games like those I mentioned yet this game and HellDivers 2 say otherwise.
At £35 I think it will do just fine, I don't think it will do as well as HellDivers 2 but 8+ million sales within 12 months would not be a failure. They just need to make sure people aren't put off by making their game full of MTX, if we're paying for the game upfront then MTX should be kept at a minimum and not necessary, just like with HellDivers 2.
@Callmegil I dunno, I've tried the Splatoon 1/2/3 single player campaigns and I don't like them, yet I'm all in on the multiplayer aspect. It depends how the single player is done though I suppose, i wouldn't mind some story mode that's PvE.
You can get a physical copy for £54.85, had a feeling it would be cheaper than the bigger titles like Rise of the Ronin and Spiderman 2 etc but didn't expect it to be £40 like some people were hoping for. Although I think £49.99 would have been the sweet spot, some parents or casuals may be put off by the price now.
@QBGaming12 Well since HellDivers 2 I'm now more open minded when it comes to Sony's live service games. And it being a paid game gives me more confidence as by the sounds of it it's not riddled with MTX, the live service games that are paid upfront for are usually better in my mind, like Overwatch 1, HellDivers 2, The Hunt Showdown and Destiny 1, these "free to play" games are more greedy.
@Callmegil I think it's because the majority don't want to do story modes in these games, people just want to log in and play a few matches and rank up. I think it's why Overwatch scrapped their story mode plans and why Apex story mode is just some visual novel style unlocks, these companies don't want to spend a lot of time and resources creating something players won't bother with.
You're getting some decent content on launch then especially for the price, I'm quite looking forward to the weekly vignettes, I wonder how long they will go on for.

Re: French Turn-Based RPG Expedition 33 Announced for PS5 in Promising Debut Trailer
@Decimateh-xblz it was 3-1 last year, 7.6 million for xbox and 22.5 million for PS5, but total sales is more like 2 and half to one.
Re: Max Caulfield Returns in Life Is Strange: Double Exposure on PS5

Re: Dragon Age: The Veilguard Finally Ventures to PS5 Later This Year, Trailer Gives First Look
Trust EA to ruin this as well, went from potential day one to being a game I rent or buy second hand.

So much for them honoring bring COD to Nintendo, play anywhere you want Phil said 😏

Best game from the show so far so I'm glad to know it's coming to PS5.
Re: DOOM: The Dark Ages Rips and Tears Day One on PS5
@KundaliniRising333 If you switching to xbox means we don't get your constant trolling on here then please hurry up, id even buy you one myself.
Re: DOOM: The Dark Ages Rips and Tears Day One on PS5
Might as well be the Bethesda showcase as they are carrying the show, without them xbox would have two games for this year.
Re: DOOM: The Dark Ages Rips and Tears Day One on PS5
@S1ayeR74 30 minute state of play vs a 90 minute showcase that includes three publishers....
Come on use some common sense.
Re: Valorant Won't Have Gyro Controls on PS5 Because Xbox Doesn't Support It
Seems like some people don't like Push pointing out the fact Xbox consoles are holding some games back for us PlayStation gamers.
Re: Sandbox Cop Game The Precinct Could Be a GTA-Inspired Indie Gem, Out on PS5 in August
Not gonna lie, this looks really really good. Another great example of why people shouldn't overlook indies.

Re: Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis Arrives on 10th September, Trailer Has New Gameplay
Ah yes £28.99 for something that should have been in the main game anyway 🤦.
I can't wait for Metaphor Re Fantazio but remembering how Atlus deals with extra content has me worried.

Re: Even as a LEGO Game, Horizon Adventures' PS5 Visuals Are Off the Charts
@LowDefAl Seems about right, 30-40 hours is just right for RPG's, anything more and it starts to drag in my opinion.

Re: Even as a LEGO Game, Horizon Adventures' PS5 Visuals Are Off the Charts
Can't wait for this, hopefully this means we get more Lego games based off other Playstation IP's, maybe TLOU or Ghost of Tsushima next.
Re: Black Myth: Wukong Is Now a PS5 Console Exclusive for an Indefinite Amount of Time
@awp69 You do know Indefinite means "unknown length of time" right?
Re: Black Myth: Wukong Is Now a PS5 Console Exclusive for an Indefinite Amount of Time
Basically the Series S can't cope, it's Baldurs Gate 3 all over again.
Re: Capcom's Strange Tactical Action Game Kunistu-Gami Is Out Next Month on PS5
@Enuo I don't know if it will have microtransactions, it just looks like a low budget indie title.
Re: Capcom's Strange Tactical Action Game Kunistu-Gami Is Out Next Month on PS5
It pretty much is still a hard sell, this game doesn't look like something from capcom and doesn't really appeal to me.
Re: Poll: Was Summer Game Fest 2024 Great or a Letdown?
Is it just me that thinks that other capcom game looks awful.
Re: Slitterhead Dated for 8th November on PS5, PS4 in First Gameplay Trailer
Game looks like a Scarlet Nexus and Ghostwire Tokyo mash up.
Re: Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions Is a PS Plus Essential Game on Day One
Given the massive following Harry Potter has this is a huge win for Playstation. I expect the subscriber count to go up a lot that month.
Re: Amazon's Mega-Budget MMORPG New World Adventures to PS5 in October
Geoff said the game can be played solo or co op with the new update, so now I'm slightly interested.
Re: Poll: Was Summer Game Fest 2024 Great or a Letdown?
Lego Horizon and Metaphor Re Fantazio were the standout games for me, second half of this year is looking so good.
Re: LEGO Horizon Adventures Is Official, Out on PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch
Thank you xbox for bringing your games to playstation, in return we will release a game on the xb.... Sike! Switch.

@TrickyDicky99 Of course Positivity is "toxic" to you.
Re: Video: Is Concord Destined to Fail?
I will playing day one, got physically for £32.85

You can get a physical copy for £54.85, had a feeling it would be cheaper than the bigger titles like Rise of the Ronin and Spiderman 2 etc but didn't expect it to be £40 like some people were hoping for. Although I think £49.99 would have been the sweet spot, some parents or casuals may be put off by the price now.
