Re: Hands On: PS Plus Cloud Streaming Is a Game Changer for PS Portal

UltimateOtaku91

I still think this feature should have been available from the start, the fact all it's product listing across various shopping sites won't mention this feature so new buyers will not know about it. Also just making a blog post is limiting its reach, they need to advertise this feature with either trailers, emails or even a notification on the PS5 at some point.

Re: Sony Reportedly in Talks to Acquire Elden Ring Dev's Parent Company Kadokawa Corp

UltimateOtaku91

Having Crunchyroll, Aniplex and Kodakawa would make Sony an Anime powerhouse for sure. If they can make Anime more popular and more mainstream in the west then I'm all for it. I see some people are complaining even though they likely don't even watch anime or know the industry. Sonys own Aniplex create about 1% of the Anime released every year and all Crunchyroll do is Sub/Dub anime series for the West, so it's not really a monopoly on Anime is it.

On PS5 i will be continuing with Lego Horizon Adventures which I've just done the sacred lands and it's been quite fun so far. I will also be finishing the last dungeons in both Metaphor Re Fantazio and Trails Through Daybreak.

On Switch its more Mario Party Jamboree, just unlocked the 7th board and hoping to make it 6-1 against the misses 😂, I will probably put some more time into Mario and Luigi Brothership, just doing the Lottacoins area but so far this has been the best in the series.

Re: Resistance's Release on PS Plus Premium Proves There's Still a Fanbase for the FPS

UltimateOtaku91

Problem is it's not much of a fan base hence why they stopped making games.

But, I still think the IP is worth a second chance, especially how Sony have handled their single player games since the PS3 gen, people have more confidence in their quality and their marketing is now on another level.

They should atleast get Bluepoint working on a Remake to see how many are interested before making a brand new entry though.

Re: Six Months After Closing Tango Gameworks, Xbox 'In the Market' for Asian Studios

UltimateOtaku91

@cburg Its not like Microsoft haven't money hatted games either, last gen they had Titanfall, Dead Rising, Tomb Raider, Ryse, Alan Wake, Sunset Overdrive as third party exclusives timed or full. Even this gen they've had The Medium, Stalker 2, Palworld, Scorn, High on Life, Ark 2 and some smaller indies as exclusives, and even a Kojima game coming as exclusive. So you can't just point the finger at Sony, who pretty much only go for Asian games for deals lately.

Re: 17 Games Land on PS Plus Extra, Premium Next Week

UltimateOtaku91

Damn now that's a good month, I will definitely be playing Dying Light 2, Digimon Survive and Like a Dragon Ishin. And I might even upgrade to premium for those Resistance games, hopefully a lot of people do so Sony get the message Resistance is still wanted.

Is Like a Dragon Ishin standalone? Or do I need to play the others to understand the story?

Re: Sounds Like Microsoft Isn't Done with Gaming Acquisitions Just Yet

UltimateOtaku91

They definitely won't be able to buy any more huge publishers like EA, Capcom etc, but I suppose by his wording they are looking out for mobile developers or someone from China to make some gacha games for them. Probably to help them become a bigger publisher when they transition to becoming fully third party. Nothing for Playstation to worry about like with their previous acquisitions.

Re: More People Are Playing the Original Horizon Zero Dawn Than Its Remaster on PC

UltimateOtaku91

Probably because PC players are sulking over the PSN requirement again. Also these games are never going to do as well as they would on Playstation consoles, Sony are using to the PC platform as a quick cash boost when the Console sales for these single player games dry up, so I don't think Sony really care if sales aren't that impressive on PC (unless it's a multiplayer game).

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 553

UltimateOtaku91

On PS5 I've got the last dungeon to do in both Metaphor Re Fantazio and Trails Through Daybreak so I suppose both of them will take me all weekend to do. If I can finish them quickly then I will move onto either YS Nordics or Farmagia.

On Switch I will be playing some Mario Party Jamboree, time do 30 turns on the shopping mall board.

Re: Labour Union Blasts Sony for Looking to Further Monopoly with Studio Closures

UltimateOtaku91

It's official, CWA are as thick as s**t.

How can they turn a blind eye to a corporation that's actually monopolizing the market yet complain about Sony reducing what they have. These Studios Sony shut down had no note worthy IP's and haven't made Sony a profit at all. Concord was a new IP and was literally Firewalks first game so how taking that away from the market is causing harm to competition is beyond me. Or are they saying Sony are spending hundreds of millions for the sole reason to close these studios down? Yes because Sony have that much money to waste.

Re: Sony Says the Best Time to Get a PS5 Is Now

UltimateOtaku91

@Jayslow Fully agree, across the PS5 and Switch I don't think I've enjoyed a year as much as this one and there's still some bangers to come like Dragon Quest 3 HD, Lego Horizon, Mario and Luigi Brothership and Fairy Tail 2. Although that might be biased for me as I mainly play JRPG's and this year has been stacked for great JRPG's.

Re: Sony Says the Best Time to Get a PS5 Is Now

UltimateOtaku91

They are right, there's now quite a lot of decent games and ps5 exclusives as well such as Final Fantasy 7 ReBirth, Stellar Blade, Rise of the Ronin, Dragon Age Veilguard, Astro Bot, Returnal, Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart, HellDivers 2, Dragons Dogma 2, Silent Hill 2 all not available on PS4, and of course next year there's Monster Hunter Wilds, Death Stranding 2, GTA 6, Ghost of Yotei, Assassins Creed Shadows etc that are skipping the PS4.

So yeah more than enough reasons to finally get a PS5 for those who haven't yet.

Re: Sony Adopting 'Show Don't Tell' Strategy with PS5

UltimateOtaku91

They've either released or revealed this year HellDivers 2, Astro Bot, Lego Horizon, Concord (although a disaster), Death Stranding 2, Stellar Blade, Rise of the Ronin, Ghost of Yotei and the Horizon Remake. Throw in the third party timed deals like Silent Hill 2 and FF7 ReBirth then I wouldn't exactly say they haven't shown anything this year or not kept their fans busy.

Next year should hopefully be better in terms of the big first party games and we should see some Wolverine and Marathon gameplay plus the release of Death Stranding 2 and Ghost of Yotei. But I can already tell all of that will be overshadowed by the negativity towards Fairgame$ (if it releases).
