The first time I saw her was on 24 as Agent Renee Walker. I was initially disappointed that she wasn't reprising her role as Tess in the series, though I had no idea she had cancer. Such a tremendous, devastating loss indeed
In my opinion, the problem with this section was that the controls didn't support the increase in action. RPG-wielding enemies and machine gun emplacements were thrown at you, but Leon couldn't even move and shoot simultaneously. With the improved controls, I'm sure this segment will be much better
The PS5 version should've launched at 49.99 to be honest, but it went on sale for black Friday as I knew it likely would, and grabbed a physical copy then
@Hundred_Hand_Slap I'd say because the original Dead Space released in 2008 as opposed to 2013 for TLoU - which also got a PS4 remaster a year later. The Dead Space series on the other hand has been largely abandoned since the third game came out in 2013
@Darude84 I generally start with AC 2 and go from there, but having recently played that game for the first time in a good while, I have to warn that combat is annoying because every enemy parries your counter kill moves. AC Brotherhood and Revelations are much more forgiving in that aspect
@KidBoruto Well Arkham Origins was from a different developer (the same developer of Arkham Knight I think) than rocksteady and was still set within the Arkham storyline/franchise
I just find it odd that Batman is dead in this storyline, and Batman "died" at the end of Arkham Knight, but the two games are in separate universes. Seems like a missed opportunity
@roylaza They need to do SOMETHING. I'm pretty sure this is the only large scale, AAA PS4 game that doesn't run properly on PS5. Ubisoft should be embarrassed that they've let this problem persist for so long
@roylaza Seriously, I'm in the middle of replaying all the AC games, and I'm currently on Unity. Ubisoft had better finish the patch soon - it's going on two years now that this has been an issue
@zupertramp Simple - after the university scene where Joel gets shot and falls off the horse, but before the "WINTER" scene transition. Or after that but before Ellie starts hunting the deer and meets David. And I literally just finished a playthrough of TLoU remastered right before they announced Part 1😂
@zupertramp It would be nice if they gave you the option. Similar to what certain director's cut blu rays do - let you watch the film with extra content built in. Seeing how nothing is really added, aside from the remade graphics (and this is not a complaint, mind you), it'd be cool to experience the Left Behind story without having to leave the main game and select it from the menu. This is a full-priced, PS5 only gave, why not go all the way, you know?
Single player My Career is heavily tied to VC though. All of your progression and clothing/sneakers requires VC, which you're given very little of through gameplay
retrieves and dusts off soapbox Yes when 2K18 released - the first NBA 2k game with the big city hub - Visual Concepts removed the rookie difficulty, so from then on pro difficulty is the lowest. It made the game - for some, including myself - exponentially harder, no doubt a scheme to get players to cave in and buy VC to make their player moderately better. I could understand that for multiplayer, but for those that only play the single player story, like myself, it is infuriating
I was mildly excited about this until I saw the gameplay. Even then I was still a little interested until I realized that it is not a sequel to Arkham Knight's hidden ending
@Tharsman The Definitive Edition? Both versions launched in January 2014 at the same time. The initial game launch was in March 2013, before the new consoles released
@Tharsman The predecessor game, Tomb Raider 2013 (which launched on Xbox 360, PS3, PC) was multiplatform, and Microsoft paid for the sequel to be an Xbox exclusive. At the time there was no word on how long that exclusivity would last. My point was that the sequel to a multiplatform game was turned into an exclusive, not that game was exclusive in general.
Why should Sony help game pass grow? The developers/publishers don't have to accept the fee, and it's not like they're restricting the games from Xbox itself, just game pass
I was hoping there'd be an expose about how/why crappy games like Life of Black Tiger, Flowers are dead, heck even Abandoned, got signal boosted by official PlayStation blogs and YouTube channel videos
I actually preferred this game to Breakpoint, even with the looter shooter elements removed. The story made a lot more sense and the map wasn't quite as cluttered as the monstrosity that is Breakpoint's
Hopefully it is a full-length FPS with a strong single player campaign. The last game like from SCEA/SIE was Killzone Shadowfall back in 2013 - a PS4 launch title. Firewall is decent but I think we're long overdue for a proper first-party FPS

Just checked myself - PS5 upgrade is showing as $39.99, not free

Re: Amnesia: The Bunker Is a More Open-Ended Survival Horror Adventure
Why on earth is this releasing in 2023 on PS4 but not PS5?

@Dpishere I know - whenever he spoke to his daughter on the phone, it sounded like he was talking to his wife, girlfriend, sister, etc

@Dpishere Agreed. The person who played Sam in Blacklist sounded way too young

I see that Ubisoft still hasn't patched Assassin's Creed Syndicate....

Looks like they changed the aiming reticle, at least for the bow. In the original it was a curved green line

@zupertramp But is it incorporated into the main game? Probably not, but it feels like a missed opportunity to make a more cohesive story experience
