I’m starting to think Sony launched this just to fill a hole in their games line up. 😂 74 comments on a gaming website and basically the only game I see mentioned is GTA 6. Oh and FF7 Rebirth once, neither of which are Sony 1st party. Meanwhile Sony is selling a Fortnite bundle for the holidays, with or without a disc drive, but not with the Pro.

Sure, Sony has put out a mid-gen refresh every console they’ve ever made going all the way back to PSOne, so this was always coming, but it’s releasing now. Not alongside Ghost, or Wolverine, or Concord.😝 What games would we be talking about without 3 articles every day about Pro? And before that Portal. And before that PSVR2. And those shiny cover plates. And colored controllers. Sony is releasing nearly as much hardware as games these days.

I’m happy for those who can afford this, but I’m practically regretting my PS5 purchase as it is. I’m not, it’s been 4 years, but the fact is the thought “Did I really need to buy this?” should not be entering my mind 4 years in. Mostly everything I’ve played has been on PS4, the rest maybe I just wait for PS6?

So while the timing is probably just a coincidence, Sony is basically a hardware company to me at this point rather than gaming. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I still say it’s ridiculous to say FREE GAME at the top of the page and $9.99 at the bottom of that very same page. But screw it, this is the world we live in now. 🤑

@somnambulance I think we've seen all of the movies except Broly and they've all been good, though I did think the first 1 was a little slow. I can't recall any of the names, the last 1 was the 1 w/ the kaiju bad guy I think, can't go wrong w/ a giant kaiju villain. And Freiza is Frieza, always good.

@boogieman117 Congrats on your 7 yo knowing "unskippable", that's practically an SAT word. 😁 We make our kids watch all of the adds on Disney, Amazon and Hulu b/c I'm too cheap to pay to skip them. I tell them to be thankful they aren't getting the full 5 minutes like live tv has. I do always mute them though, I'm not an ogre. 😂

@somnambulance We gave my kid a Netflix gift card for their birthday in part so we can watch DB Daima w/ them. Also the live action Avatar. We haven't watched Super but they told us not to bother as it takes place after Z. Wish they had told us that before we watched GT. 😂

@NEStalgia You’re smart. If Sony continues to keep making hardware at its current pace, PS VR2, Portal, Pro, new controllers, new faceplates, and they stop making new games, what party does that make them? I’m saying 4th b/c it doesn’t make any sense, but neither does putting out an endless stream of hardware while you keep sending your devs packing.

All the costs associated with this game at least make me happy they at least sort of kept Disney Speedstorm free to start. Speedstorm almost plays more like a trial or demo now with how much of it is locked behind a paywall but I still get in a few hours a week, which is enough.

Even if this was free to start it would still seem like a lot of extra costs to me, but as a paid game it seems out of control.🤑

@GumbaMasta “ make the ***** text big enough that I can read it.” I was messing around with the new Welcome Home Screen settings the other day and found under the accessibility widget there is a way to make the font bigger and bold. I thought bigger was too big but bold font is just about perfect. Not sure if it affects in game any but it’s nice to be able to read the PS5 menus anyway.

Good to know if Microsoft ever stops making Xboxen we can still have console wars just with Sony consoles. 😩

So does getting rid of Stars mean thing are going to cost say 400,000 XP or will each item cost 80,000? I’ve been playing for 3 years and I kind of like the stars. I only play battle royale so music festival and Lego don’t matter to me.

Since they keep saying December 1st for the change does that mean we are getting 4 weeks of OG again as season 5 before season 6 begins for real December 1st? OG just isn’t for me, it’s so boring.

So since you're here, did it feel like a full season of a TV show or did it just feel like it ended? If it feels like 1 long movie cut up into pieces at random intervals that it could feel complete, but if it feels like this is just the first 6 of 12 or 18 episodes than I'd rather not bother to watch it right now.

Google said 6 episodes, 3 now then 1 a week it looks like. Is the "second half' those other 3 eps or is there another 6 episodes later in the year or next year like they did w/ season 2 of Invincible? I really hate these short "seasons" which are arguably just half of a season setup for the 2nd half. Every once in awhile a show like "Shogun" or Reacher comes along where a season is a season but I find more often than not a season is just a few episodes in 1 long story arc. 😝

Ok since this is coming out on disc it’s on my radar now. Anyone know or recall if it has difficulty options? I passed on Stellar Blade b/c I thought it was another soulslike but fortunately some kind folk on here educated me as to it having an easy mode so I picked it up and really enjoyed it. 👍

I’m just not up to anything difficult anymore. Had right hand surgery earlier in the year, left hand surgery next Monday. I’m just happy to still be gaming.😩
