Ever since the second episode I've just felt numb to this whole show.

They're missing what made the game special and the whole thing just seems like a much weaker version of what we already have

Yeah I'm really not feeling this series.

It's just showing to me how superior the game is in almost every regard

Writing in video games in general is terrible, and I'm still not sure why with the budget that is put into games these days.

I haven't seen a great deal of Whitta's work but I'm assuming he would've been more competent than whoever ended up leading this

Missed opportunity getting all these names involved and setting a theme like this only to waste it on gameplay like this

The numbers don't make sense. If all of games media really is that strong in their views of this then it is not an equally represented view. The opinion of "F* JK Rowling" is quite clearly a minority view overall

Would happily pay for a PS5 version fwiw. Absolute waste that it has nothing. Then again the original Red Dead Redemption isn't playable at all on most platforms now

Crazy times. Game sounds a lot better than I thought. Will probably download Friday as my girlfriend loves HP and it'll be a good game to play together

Surprised to see such positive reaction to this episode. I thought it was pretty dull

I don't think we got to see Bill and Frank develop enough to really care about their final moments. And even then, their final moments were a bit "oh, that's kind of sweet" and that's it.

Only thing I thought was well done was the letter

Still much prefer the Bill and Frank story from the game, and seeing Ellie argue with Bill was hugely missed imo

I still don't understand who signed off on the glossy plate. It quite clearly looks worse than the original controllers which is just weird and, although silly, kind of puts me off from the start

@Loftimus "the only person that outcome would benefit was him" and Ellie, of course. But one of the reasons we never got to have that conversation with her was because the fireflies were so brutal in stealing her away from Joel (in the game at least)

@Loftimus I preferred that there were more questions there though. One of the great things about the first game is that none of it was too far-fetched.

The second game completely threw that out of the window for me and many others and changing the ending to be so certain felt and still feels strange

Loved the first episode. Good luck turning Part 2 into a TV series though. I can't see how that works at all without some significant changes

Seems like expectations got way too high for this.

It's an OK game but lacks a truly compelling story, the characters are boring and the gameplay is pretty uninteresting too

Appreciate that game development is difficult but surely they were aware they had a dud here?

Weird comments.

Days Gone had some great ideas, some standout gameplay features and a decent ish gameplay loop.

It also had a lot of bugs, a somewhat meh story and terrible AI as well as repetitive quests.

The review scores were fine. It would be weird if this was getting 9s and 10s across the board

I haven't played Dead Space so maybe this will be for me?

I feel like we've had a hundred spiritual successors at this point

Probably my most anticipated game at this point

One of my biggest frustrations in gaming is Supermassive games and this series in particular.

They have the potential to do special things but keep producing annoyingly average affairs such as this. A shame

All depends on context for me but I can definitely see how it could be annoying.

God of War has a lot of talking in general which I quite enjoy. It's slightly annoying when you're just trying to explore a bit and Atreus and Mimir keep questioning you but it makes sense in-game and is done in a humorous way. It also makes them feel much more involved as characters and helps bring the world to life a bit more

Please just make a new game

The original one was great. This definitely sounds nothing like it which is a shame

I played it on Stadia at launch.

I thought it was a solid game without being anything special. Cool that it's not getting left to be nothing
