Re: Wo Long Wheels Out a Wicked Combat Trailer

Athrum

@Rambolike This one is based on the "3 Kingdoms" Chinese epic instead of being in Japan. The combat and systems are also quite different, this one has a more aggressive gameplay focused on parries and doge. If Nioh was Dark Souls then think of Wo Long more like a Bloodborne or Sekiro.

Re: Yes, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty Is a Paid Expansion, Makes Headlines for Some Reason

I usually don't defend game companies (all of them, and I repeat ALL are after your money, I mean this is business, not charity), but for the people that forgot are are the free DLC for Witcher 3:
Temerian Armor Set
Beard and Hairstyle Set
New Quest - 'Contract: Missing Miners'
Alternative Look for Yennefer
Nilfgaardian Armor Set
Elite Crossbow Set
New Quest - 'Fool's Gold'
Ballad Heroes' Neutral Gwent Card Set
New Quest - 'Scavenger Hunt: Wolf School Gear'
Alternative Look for Triss
New Quest - 'Contract: Skellige's Most Wanted'
Skellige Armor Set
Alternative Look for Ciri
New Quest - 'Where the Cat and Wolf Play...'
New Finisher Animations
NEW GAME +.

so, hardly anything to write home about. Both the expansions (which is what Phantom Liberty is) cost 20€ (40 if you bought the physical editions with the gwent decks), so I hardly see a difference between the 2 games.

Wait a sec.....just copying over my comment from Arad Chronicle here......juuuuuust about now...There we go

"Another Korean game that looks too good to be true. I'm still waiting for most of these games to actually come out/be good. So far we got Bright Memory from a Chinese dev and that was a glorified tech demo.
Lost Soul Aside, Stellar Blade, Lies of P, Black Wukong, Crimson Desert, they all look gorgeous but none of these has a release date."

Re: Microsoft Claims That Insomniac Developed Marvel's Wolverine Will Launch in 2023

Athrum

@sjbsixpack Because I have a small grasp on how game making works. And sorry if that sounds rude, not trying to be. That game was waaaaaay in concept stage when it was shown to us. Even with Insomniac having 2 teams, the majority of their dev team will be working on Spider-man 2. Plus you won't see 2 Marvel games from the same studio come out close to each other, even if they're different styles.
My guess would be SM2 on the later half of 2023, and this one on late 2024.
