@Beerheadgamer82 Harry Potter has always had a cozy Christmas charm to it especially the first 2 movies. Which is why they shown a lot at least in the US during the holidays. So it not surprising the game have the same charm.

@UltimateOtaku91 I would argue that Ninja Theory and Obsidian wasn't exactly making money hand over fist, and Markus Persson who own Mojang wasn't exactly a good leader. He couldn't handle the stress that came with running the company.

I would love to see Insomniac make some VR games. It non sense that Sony bought one of the best VR game makers on the market, and didn’t use them to make a launch title for PSVR2.

@SgtTruth If you see the nomination list… The best game on there is call of the mountain. They made this nomination list too early as stuff like Asgard Warth 2, Assassin creed nexus, Arizona Sunshine 2, bulletstorm vr, vampire: masquerade-justice came out too late to be counted.

@CutchuSlow I was talking to friend about that 2 weeks ago. Steam has it for the 8th but every other place even the official website has it as the 9th. I’m thinking the 8th is when the game goes “live” for digital versions, but the 9th is the actual release date.

@mrbone Crunchy roll operates under a completely different umbrella of Sony. This is SIE purchase and they tend to only handles everything related to PlayStation and gaming. I guess it could be a benefit to PlayStation productions.

@Deadlyblack I feel you. Growing up during the height of Xbox 360/PS3 era, I had dreamed about working at a game studio especially Bungie. But the more I learn about the industry, the more I realize how toxic it is... There were a lot of layoffs even back then, but then you combine in the crunch lifestyle and toxic masculinity. It not a great industry to work in.

Luckily, i was able to my computer degree and pivot to a different part of the tech world, where i don't have to consistently worry about lay off if a game doesn't sell enough copies. I also make 20x more money and work remote.

We'll see how well that works out. Bungie has shown that if they don't get their way. They easily just jump ship. Don't be surprised if there news of Bungie going back independent in the next 10 years if that happen.

@Rmg0731 Cause Bungie know how to milk their fanbase. The money alone from Destiny is probably more money than any studio that Sony owns has ever made. It profit is only rivaled by other massive live service games.

@OldGamer999 It not just the gaming industry. As many have said before, it the entire Tech industry that going through this. Hired a bunch of people due to remote working during COVID and are now lay off a bunch of people.

As for Spiderman ripping a turret off an armoured car but also needs multiple attacks to floor a random thug... It stated several times in the comics that he holds back his punches.

@Lup the benefit of staggering the release schedule. The game still haven’t released switch yet, so we’ll continue to see it in the list especially once the holiday comes.

@Discol76 People perspective of Stars Wars is literally just the mainline films. If the films aren't good than nothing else is good. TBH for me, current Star Wars is in the best state it has ever been. Granted i don't read, so I'm not upset about the current state of books. Like you said, Mandalorian epic, Book of Bobba Fett was decent. Really enjoying Ashoka. Andor is excellent. I thought Kenobi was decent also. But add in the last few seasons of The Clone Wars, Bad Batch, Tales of the Jedi, Visions, and I enjoyed the lego stuff. I could care less about the films.

@Goat_FromBOTW Storyliving isn't all that weird, or out of Disney scope. Sound more like going back to their roots, and doing what Walt originally wanted EPCOT to be, not what we got... Plus they already have a pretty good concept of Disney owned community would be like with golden oak and the Town of Celebration.

@Mad001 The 70s and 80s was literally Disney dark era… Get out here with that era being good. The worst era of Disney. 🤣 The Black Cauldron almost single handily killed that company. But Robin Hood and The Rescuers was great.

@dimi New engine unfortunately probably isn’t going to fix anything… The current FIFA are running on the current version of Frostbite, and we’ve seen what the engine is capable off from a visual standpoint. This is just what the developers chooses the ship the game like given the many platforms and time crunch.

@Sil_Am I doubt MS really wants anything to do with him. They are still hurting from the cancellation of Scale bound, and Hideki Kamiya was responsible for the team in charge of that game.

@HwuaiLiang You’re only thinking about the risk/reward for MS. Not from the actual developer standpoint which there is actually really no reward but a lot of risk.

I’m assuming the reasoning behind it is the risk/cost for the actual developer. Can you imagine the massive backlash if developer would get if MS was spending this cash on 3rd party exclusives, and titles like the next Witcher was exclusive? It a far better deal for the developer to take the 300 million release day 1 on Gamepass and then still be able to release on PS.

These number are not surprising after how much Epic is paying just to get games on their store, or given away for free.
