Ohhh, not really interested in this, but I really liked the demo for their other game KAMiBAKO - Mythology of Cube -. I'm hoping this being released soon means that will also be out in the near future.
@AhmadSumadi Just a heads up if you're a trophy hunter. If you carry over your save from the demo you won't unlock any of the trophies for finishing the first few chapters.
I'm playing Ys X: Nordics on my new PS5 Pro. Going to also play Palworld co-op. It's PS5 Pro enhanced apparently, but I don't really notice a difference from playing it on the PS5 Slim.
Ghostwire: Tokyo was the reason I upgraded to PS5 and I really enjoyed it. The first Hot Wheels game was a good time, so I'll definitely be giving Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged a go.
@Matroska You're actually getting sent to The Gulag.
Skipped Modern Warfare 3 last year, so I'd forgotten how much I enjoy jumping into a few rounds of Team Deathmatch when I have a spare 20 minutes. I'll definitely be dipping in this weekend.
Wasn't planning to buy it, but deciding to get it on a whim. Don't regret it at all. So far the campaign is a blast and I'm addicted to the multiplayer.
@Czar_Khastik You can't really go wrong with any of the main entries, but I'd still say that Vesperia is the best game in the series. It's usually on sale for dirt cheap, too.
Played a couple of rounds and it's just as creepy as I remember. I love it when someone dies and you just don't hear from them. I was playing with my brother and the last words I heard him utter were "I hear voices". I then left the truck only to stumble on his dead body in the hallway of the house.
I gave it a try. I'm in the minority in that I thought it looked great, I'm just not a fan of the gameplay. I find killing monsters gets pretty repetitive.
I'll hopefully be playing Clock Tower Rewind this Halloween. I have fond memories of playing the PS1 Clock Tower with my brothers growing up, so I'm looking forward to finally playing the first game in the series. Hopefully if it sells well we'll see a remaster of the PS1 game.
Edit: Downloaded it and it turns out I don't like it as much as I was hoping. I still hope it sells well.
I bought the game and put a couple of hours into it so far. The combat is definitely the weakest aspect. It's serviceable, bordering on bad. The exploration saves the game for me. I enjoy exploring everyday locations that are in ruins, and this game does that quite well. It's cool to see Titans doing their own thing in the background.
Definitely interested in this. Started to get into these types of survival games recently. I've played co-op 7 Days to Die - Console Edition for nearly 85 hours and started Pal World the other week. We're playing Grounded next, but this is going on the list!
@Terranauts Ta very much! I'm going to be playing Metaphor: ReFantazio and Ys X: Nordics over the next couple of weeks, so I'm looking for a shorter game to break then up.
Really enjoyed playing this on PC, but haven't played it in a few years, so I'm looking forward to playing the PS5 version with all the updates I've missed out on.
I'm really tempted to bite the bullet and buy this now. I have a feeling this is my type of game. I'm just about to roll the credits on Silent Hill 2 and fancy another cinematic game.
It doesn't really bother me tbh. If people want to spend extra to play the game before most other people then that's up to them. If I do pre-order a game than I always get the cheapest version available. I didn't even realise Silent Hill 2 had early access because I just pre-ordered the standard version without even thinking about it.
I finished Frontier Hunter: Erza's Wheel of fortune last night, so I'm looking for something to play between now and the release of Silent Hill 2. I might just focus on Ace Attorney Investigations Collection. I'm quite far into it, but I find it hard to play multiple episodes back to back.
Definitely interested in this. Although even when something gets described as "not a Soulslike" I'm still skeptical. Black Myth: Wukong was said to not be a Soulslike, but I still found it to be similar enough that I struggle to play it.
I'll see how I do with this. I dropped off of The Last of Us after a few episodes. I just think that graphics have gotten so good that playing the game is as good as watching a movie or TV series.
I'll give it a go. Free-to-play doesn't necessarily mean it's bad. I got 30 hours out of The First Descendant, 45 out of Puzzle Quest 3 and 70 out of Phantasy Star Online 2 and i didn't put money into any of them.
They made the right call. Not worth potentially getting into legal trouble with Sony just so PC gamers that probably have multiple accounts have to create one less.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 555
Making my way through Ys X: Nordics. Really enjoying the setting of Adol's latest adventure. Going to also be playing some co-op Palworld.
Re: Review: PS5 Pro - An Impressive Yet Inconsistent Upgrade
@Oregondan Out of curiosity, what were you expecting? Did you not do your research before you bought it?
Re: Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii on PS5, PS4 Looks Mad, Dog
This is why I love the Like a Dragon games so much.
Re: LEGO Horizon Adventures Sets Odd Precedent, Lacking PS5 Pro Support
Some games just don't need it. I don't expect to see a pro update for Astro Bot either.

Not gonna lie. I enjoy the PS3 version. It's one of my guilty pleasures.

Re: Larian Studios Confirms Baldur's Gate 3's PS5 Pro Enhancements
That just seems like it's bringing it up to the same settings that most games are able to achieve on the base PS5. 60fps in co-op is nice though.
Re: SEGA Is Bringing Back Its Iconic Virtua Fighter Franchise for PS5
I've played so much Virtua Fighter thanks to the Yakuza/Like a Dragon games.

Re: Poll: What Did You Think of the Monster Hunter Wilds Beta?
This is a series I really want to like. The setting really appeals to me, but I find the gameplay repetitive.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 553
I'll be carrying on with Metaphor: ReFantazio. While also playing some co-op Palworld and dipping into a few rounds of Call of Duty Black Ops 6.
Re: Showa American Story Reveals the Craziest PS5 Trailer of 2024
Never seen a game trailer show so much and so little at the same time!

Re: Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 PS5 Offers Tasty Gameplay Morsel
I'm confident this could turn out to be decent. Development hell doesn't necessarily mean it's going to be bad, look at Dead Island 2.

@Yagami Sounds like it's just not for you. The things you listed make up a massive chunk of the game.
Re: Tales of Graces f Reveals Remastered PS5, PS4 Updates in New Trailer
@Czar_Khastik You can't really go wrong with any of the main entries, but I'd still say that Vesperia is the best game in the series. It's usually on sale for dirt cheap, too.
Re: Phasmophobia (PS5) - A Hilariously Horrid Co-Op Experience
@BranJ0 @Tucanino No couch co-op, but seeing what's going on on other people's screens would diminish the fun.

Re: Monster Hunter Wilds' Beta Is Prompting Fans to Reconsider PS5 Pro
I played it and thought it looked great? I'm glad I'm not too fussed when it comes to frame rate and resolution.

Re: Your Chance to Play the Cosiest PS5 Game Ever Is Close
Not expecting to get in, but I signed up regardless. Game looks interesting.
Re: TV Show Review: Like a Dragon: Yakuza - Generic Japanese Crime Caper Doesn't Do SEGA Franchise Justice
My main issue with it was how it jumped between time periods. I just found it quite jarring.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 552
I have 2 weeks off work, so I can actually game all weekend! I'm still playing Metaphor: ReFantazio with a bit of Pal World co-op on the side.
Re: Mini Review: Kong: Survivor Instinct (PS5) - A Repetitive Cinematic Side-Scroller

Re: Mini Review: Kong: Survivor Instinct (PS5) - A Repetitive Cinematic Side-Scroller
It's at that price point where I don't mind buying it despite average reviews.
@Terranauts How long does the game take to finish?
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 551
Going to continue playing Metaphor: ReFantazio and probably play some co-op Palworld.

I didn't even realise Silent Hill 2 had early access because I just pre-ordered the standard version without even thinking about it.
Re: PS5 Pro Makes Quality, Performance Modes in Dragon Age: The Veilguard Better Than Ever
I liked the idea of a PS5 that got rid of Quality and Performance modes all together, so it's a shame that they're still a thing.
Re: Amazon MMO New World: Aeternum Out Now on PS5
Beta was decent enough, but I'd rather play Throne and Liberty. Probably not the best idea to release them so close to each other.
Re: Starship Troopers: Extermination Hits Ground Running on PS5, Roadmap Revealed
Is there a standard version going to be released?
Edit: Looks like it was an error on the PlayStation Store and the only version available is the Warrior Bundle.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 550
Silent Hill 2 of course. Bloober Team did such a good job. It's definitely up there with the Resident Evil remakes.
Re: Fans Are Concerned Until Dawn PS4 Could Be Delisted Following PS5 Remake's Release
@Czar_Khastik My copy of Until Dawn is still in my library on PS5, regardless of if it's available on the Store or not, just saying!

Re: Silent Hill 2 (PS5) - The Horror Great Remains So in This Excellent Remake
This and Metaphor: ReFantazio within days of each other. T'is a good week!
Re: Explore Hell Is Us PS5 in Extensive Developer-Led Gameplay Trailer

Re: Dragon of Dojima Roars in Official Like a Dragon: Yakuza Trailer
I'll see how I do with this. I dropped off of The Last of Us after a few episodes. I just think that graphics have gotten so good that playing the game is as good as watching a movie or TV series.
Re: Infinity Nikki Could Be the Cosiest PS5 Game Ever Made
I'll give it a go. Free-to-play doesn't necessarily mean it's bad. I got 30 hours out of The First Descendant, 45 out of Puzzle Quest 3 and 70 out of Phantasy Star Online 2 and i didn't put money into any of them.
Re: Promising 3D Platformer The Smurfs: Dreams Gets Playable Demo on PS5, Available Now
It seems decent enough, but going from Astro Bot to this does it no favours.

I'm glad they've decided to start being honest. It's a breath of fresh air after they ripped off hundreds of thousands of people.
