My single-player game is Alfred Hitchcock - Vertigo. I'll also be playing Grounded and Atlas Fallen in co-op

I work in retail, so I'm grateful that I've even got 3 days off in a row over Christmas. 10 days off from January 1st though! Currently I'm playing Alfred Hitchcock - Vertigo. Should be done with that in the next day or two. Which means I'll be starting a new game in time for Christmas week. I haven't decided if I'm going to play Postal 4: No Regerts from my backlog, or buy Soul Reaver 1&2 Remastered.

Seems like Microsoft is close to leaving the console market already. All their games are playable on PC and a lot of them are now coming to PS5. Seems like only a matter of time before they drop out.

@colonelkilgore I think Nintendo need to name their next console Switch 2. One of the reasons the Wii U didn't sell was because a lot of the more casual audience didn't really understand what it was.

@Dragon83 The fact that non of those other consoles are around now is proof that there were to many back then.

I really like Kasuga's English voice. Suits the character perfectly, so I played Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth in English. I played Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name in Japanese, but that's only because the English dub wasn't available at launch. I'll probably play this one in English, too. I'm getting used to it now.

I really wish people could just watch a trailer and think "this game isn't for me" and then move on.

@Dalamar Not everyone has that option though. The Xillia games are stranded on PS3 atm, so a lot of people never got to play them.

I'll mostly be playing Unknown 9: Awakening and I am pleasantly surprised so far. I was hoping for a linear, Uncharted style adventure and that's exactly what this is. I also quite like the combat. I think that taking control of enemies is quite an interesting concept and I like how it's been executed.

I'll also be dipping into Final Fantasy XIV, Infinity Nikki and Call of Duty 6.

I stopped playing it a couple of months ago to wait for the inevitable Pro patch... I did not stop playing it because I found it too hard, honest!

I still need to play the first game! I'm actually looking for a game to play now, so I might buy it.

Looks promising. Gave off a Guardians of the Galaxy vibe.

It still has issues. Not only did trophy 100 appear twice, but I also haven't played Far Cry 6 in years. I don't think that trophy is even from that game either. 🤷‍♂️

@Weebleman Play the tutorial. It gives you a basic idea of what to do.

@rjejr I've played for about 12 hours now and at no point have I felt like I need to spend money. So far it seems to be free-to-play done right.

I bought it, but I'm enjoying Infinity Nikki far more than I was expecting, so I won't be playing it properly until I'm done with that.

My main game is Flashback 2. I can see why it reviewed poorly, but I'm liking it enough that it's not a chore to play. I'll also be playing co-op Grounded and dipping into Infinity Nikki and Path of Exile 2.

I got in straight away this morning before work. I'm finding the game pretty difficult!

I voted Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Mostly because it makes a game I absolutely love even better.

I'm disappointed that it's not free-to-play right now, but I might drop the money to play it.

Just started it now and it feels pretty high budget so far. I'm impressed.

@Jill_Sandwich I'm not home, so can't confirm, but I think it was 22 GB or somewhere around there.

One of my memories of the PS1 is playing the very first Resident Evil with my brothers. We would pass the controller around because we were too scared to play for very long. I remember we used a guide and knew the snake was going to be in the attic, so we were just tossing the controller back and fourth between us until one of us was brave enough to go in the room.

I'm genuinely surprised by all the negativity. I think it's a pretty good month. I already own It Takes Two and Temtem and both are great games. Aliens: Dark Descent is something I've been interested in, but strategy games can be a bit hit and miss for me. Happy to try it for free though.

I don't know! I've just finished Soul Hackers 2, so I'm trying to decide what to play next. I just bought Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, but I might get a refund and just play Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes instead. Customer support isn't open until Monday, so I'm sure I'll give in before then and download it.

Edit: Of course I gave in and downloaded it. I couldn't resist the call of a Dragon Quest game.

I'll also be starting Grounded in co-op. Never used to be a fan of these types of survival games, but I've really enjoyed playing 7 Days to Die - Console Edition and Palworld over the last few months. Even managed to get the plat for Palworld.

Already have the plat for the original PS4 release of Jak and Daxter, but it's such a brilliant game that I think I might get it again on this new version.

I'll single handedly push the Switch past the PS2. I've bought and sold so many of them over the years.

Bought myself yet another Switch, so I'll mostly be playing Super Mario Bros. Wonder. On PS5 I'll be carrying on with Soul Hackers 2 and playing some co-op Palworld.

Really impressed with what I played.

Can't believe Sonic X Shadow Generations is on sale already. Might have get it at that price.

Ohhh, not really interested in this, but I really liked the demo for their other game KAMiBAKO - Mythology of Cube -. I'm hoping this being released soon means that will also be out in the near future.

@AhmadSumadi Just a heads up if you're a trophy hunter. If you carry over your save from the demo you won't unlock any of the trophies for finishing the first few chapters.

Making my way through Ys X: Nordics. Really enjoying the setting of Adol's latest adventure. Going to also be playing some co-op Palworld.

@Oregondan Out of curiosity, what were you expecting? Did you not do your research before you bought it?

This is why I love the Like a Dragon games so much.

Some games just don't need it. I don't expect to see a pro update for Astro Bot either.

Not gonna lie. I enjoy the PS3 version. It's one of my guilty pleasures.

I'm playing Ys X: Nordics on my new PS5 Pro. Going to also play Palworld co-op. It's PS5 Pro enhanced apparently, but I don't really notice a difference from playing it on the PS5 Slim.

That just seems like it's bringing it up to the same settings that most games are able to achieve on the base PS5. 60fps in co-op is nice though.

I've played so much Virtua Fighter thanks to the Yakuza/Like a Dragon games.

Makes me regret selling my PSVR2.

Ghostwire: Tokyo was the reason I upgraded to PS5 and I really enjoyed it. The first Hot Wheels game was a good time, so I'll definitely be giving Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged a go.

This is a series I really want to like. The setting really appeals to me, but I find the gameplay repetitive.

I'll be carrying on with Metaphor: ReFantazio. While also playing some co-op Palworld and dipping into a few rounds of Call of Duty Black Ops 6.

Never seen a game trailer show so much and so little at the same time!

Skipped Modern Warfare 3 last year, so I'd forgotten how much I enjoy jumping into a few rounds of Team Deathmatch when I have a spare 20 minutes. I'll definitely be dipping in this weekend.

I'm confident this could turn out to be decent. Development hell doesn't necessarily mean it's going to be bad, look at Dead Island 2.

Wasn't planning to buy it, but deciding to get it on a whim. Don't regret it at all. So far the campaign is a blast and I'm addicted to the multiplayer.

@Yagami Sounds like it's just not for you. The things you listed make up a massive chunk of the game.

@Czar_Khastik You can't really go wrong with any of the main entries, but I'd still say that Vesperia is the best game in the series. It's usually on sale for dirt cheap, too.
