I knew this would happen! It was the same with Concord. Everyone hated it when it was announced, but when it was released everyone changed their tune and loved it!
I'm playing an anime metroidvania called Frontier Hunter: Erza's Wheel of Fortune. I'm actually liking it more than I was expecting. Other than an iffy translation, it's really well made.
I have to admit that I was tempted. I had a look on the PlayStation Direct website to see if they were still in stock, which they were. I even added it to my cart, but I just couldn't bring myself to buy one.
@LavenderShroud You do realise that now that the remaster is coming out and Sony has raised the price of the PS4 version it most likely will result in the physical version going up in price, too.
I think there's enough room for remasters. There's still plenty of quality new releases coming out every week. I'm currently enjoying the Broken Sword remaster and I'm waiting on Capcom to release a remaster of the Mega Man Legends games.
I've been interested in The Plucky Squire, so it was a nice suprise to see it appearing on Extra day one. For some reason I managed to miss any announcements about it.
@rjejr Reunion looks nothing like a PS2 game. Yeah, it's not in the same league as the Remakes, but it looks way better than the PSP version, which actually does look like a PS2 game.
It's too expensive for sure, but I did consider getting one for a moment. I don't need a disc drive, but I'd have to buy a 4k TV because I'm currently using a 1080p TV, so that would bump up the price I'd have to pay considerably.
Week off for me, so that means a rare weekend to do nothing but game! I'll mostly be playing Star Wars Outlaws and Astro Bot. Really enjoying both. Astro Bot is an absolute joy.
@riceNpea How many more people need to tell you they're scalpers before you realise you're wrong! If that's not enough for you just Google this whole situation and you'll see that basically every article from every website uses the word scalpers. Surely we can't all be wrong and you alone are right?
@riceNpea You're basing the fact that no one wants it on when it's was available to buy and not now that it's been taken down. These sellers are trying to use Concord's failure as a way to get more money out of it than it's worth.
@riceNpea They are taking advantage of the fact that it's not going to be sold anymore to try and make more money. If it doesn't sell they can just take it back to the store they bought it from and get a full refund, so they are risking nothing. They are scalpers and you trying to argue that fact is baffling.
@riceNpea They are scalpers. Scalpers buy something at a normal price and sell it for more when it's in demand. Hell, even one of the sellers includes that it's in demand in his description. Personally I don't think it's in demand, but these sellers clearly think it is and they are taking advantage of it.
I'd love an Overwatch RPG in the style of Outriders (obviously that's 3rd person, but I mean that style of game). I played it recently and really enjoyed it. I really like Overwatch's Characters and art style, so I'd be all over an RPG set in that world.
@AlexPorto You could just play one of the hundreds of other single-player games available. Plenty of single-player games to keep you entertained between Sony's offerings. There's no shortage of single-player games coming out.
Definitely addictive. It's just gone 1:30 in the morning, I have work tomorrow (today now!) and I should be in bed, but I've only just turned the game off.
People routing for it to fail is such a weird thing to me. It's not your type of game, great, fair enough, move on. It doesn't affect you if there's a game out there you don't like and have no intention of playing. Sony are still going to make single-player games for you to play.
@Johnnycide They can do both you know? People love Helldivers 2. It's not like Firewalk Studios would of been doing Bloodborne 2 if they didn't do Concord.
Mainly going to be playing Star Wars Outlaws, but I'll hopefully make a bit of progress on Black Myth: Wukong, too. I'll also be dipping in and out of Vampire Survivors and maybe playing some co-op 7 Days to Die - Console Edition.
Started it today and I've enjoyed what I've played so far. I might put it on hold until next week. I have 9 days off work and I like the idea of playing it without any distractions.
Just grabbed the game and all the available DLC. Be crazy not to at the cheap price it's all going for. I doubt I'll be unlocking all the trophies anytime soon, but this will be the perfect game to put on when I have a spare 15 minutes.

Re: Forgiving Gamers Are Contributing to The Day Before Devs' New Kickstarter
I'm glad they've decided to start being honest. It's a breath of fresh air after they ripped off hundreds of thousands of people.
Re: Dragon Quest Veterans on Dealing with 'Ridiculous Country' USA Amid Censorship Row
The new design looks kinda off, like she accidentally put her bra and top on in the wrong order.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 548
@Malaise Love this. Nothing beats settling in to a good single-player game.

Re: Colourful Courier Game Parcel Corps Set to Deliver on PS5 Early October
Better late than never. Which is the same moto I use when dealing with couriers!
Re: Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake Looks Absolutely Stunning in Latest Gameplay Trailer
I still need to finish Octopath Traveller II, so I might just wait until all 3 games are out and start from the first one.

Re: Don't Nod 'Disappointed' by Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, Jusant Sales
They should release a demo for Banishisers. The game is solid, so I think if people got to try it out then that would shift some copies.
Re: Big Tech Cuts Made to Get Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Running on PS4
@Czar_Khastik The PS3 ran Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor like a dream. It can easily handle this.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 547
Gonna crack on with Visions of Mana. I like it, but it's not hooked me as much as the Trials of Mana remake did.
Re: Mini Review: Reynatis (PS5) - Beautiful Action RPG Is Far Too Repetitive
I was interested in this, but the demo turned me off. Might Be something I pick up when it's on sale for under £15.
Re: Reaction: Why There Are So Many Unnecessary PS5 Remasters for Games That Don't Need Them
I think there's enough room for remasters. There's still plenty of quality new releases coming out every week. I'm currently enjoying the Broken Sword remaster and I'm waiting on Capcom to release a remaster of the Mega Man Legends games.
Re: Mini Review: Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars Reforged (PS5) - Wonderful Remaster of One of the Best Adventure Games of All Time
Couldn't resist buying it again. I think I've played through nearly every version, from PC to GBA.
Re: Clock Tower: Rewind Launches Two Days Earlier in the West on PS5, PS4
Been waiting a while for this. Day one buy for sure.
Re: The Plucky Squire (PS5) - Joyful, Inventive Adventure on Every Page of PS Plus Gem
Nice to see this isn't too long. Might put my play through of Visions of Mana on hold to play it!
Re: THQ Nordic Announces PS5 Port of PS4 Remaster of PS3 Action Game Darksiders 2
Shame it's just the second game and not a bundle of the trilogy. That would of got a day one buy from me.
Re: Preview: Unknown 9 Awakening Plays Like a Long Lost PS3 Remaster on PS5, PS4
I'll give it a go eventually. I think I'll enjoy it the same way I liked Forspoken and Immortals of Aveum.
Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for September 2024?
I've been interested in The Plucky Squire, so it was a nice suprise to see it appearing on Extra day one. For some reason I managed to miss any announcements about it.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 546
Visions of Mana for me. Hoping to finish it before The Plucky Squire is out.
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Astro Bot?
Probably the best platformer I've played, so I rated it 10.
@rjejr Not that it'll probably do much to justify the price for you, but it took me 17 hours to completely finish the game.
@nedbvai It's not just for kids, it's just not for you, which is fine.
Re: Reborn RPG New World: Aeternum's Open Beta Is Out Now on PS5
Beta seemed decent enough, but I preferred Throne and Liberty a lot more.
Re: Reborn RPG New World: Aeternum's Open Beta Is Out Now on PS5
Let's hope I can get in before the beta ends!
Re: Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth 'Hugely Improved' on PS5 Pro, a 'Night and Day' Difference
@rjejr Reunion looks nothing like a PS2 game. Yeah, it's not in the same league as the Remakes, but it looks way better than the PSP version, which actually does look like a PS2 game.
Re: Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth 'Hugely Improved' on PS5 Pro, a 'Night and Day' Difference
@Yonisanu Yep. I use a 32" 1080p TV and I sit far back enough that I don't really notice that the image quality isn't as clear as it would be in 4K.
Re: Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth 'Hugely Improved' on PS5 Pro, a 'Night and Day' Difference
I bet the difference is actually closer to night and later that night.
Re: 13 More Games Join PS Plus Extra, Premium Next Week
Might have to go from Essential to Extra for The Plucky Squire. Didn't realise it was on Plus day one.
Re: Sony to Start Selling Refurbished PS5 Consoles
Dunno if I'd trust a used PS5, even directly from Sony.
Re: Talking Point: Is PS5 Pro Way Too Expensive?
It's too expensive for sure, but I did consider getting one for a moment. I don't need a disc drive, but I'd have to buy a 4k TV because I'm currently using a 1080p TV, so that would bump up the price I'd have to pay considerably.
Re: Bleach: Rebirth of Souls Looks Really, Really Promising in 25 Minutes of Raw Gameplay
Think I'll be sticking with Bleach: Brave Souls.
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2?
It's pretty enjoyable in co-op so far. Feels like a game from the PS3 era and that's perfectly fine with me
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 545
Week off for me, so that means a rare weekend to do nothing but game! I'll mostly be playing Star Wars Outlaws and Astro Bot. Really enjoying both. Astro Bot is an absolute joy.
@GoodGame How is Son and Bone?
Re: Astro's Playroom Is Having a Party Inside Your PS5 Right Now
I absolutely love the amount of personality the Astro Bot games have. I can't think of a single game that tops it.

@riceNpea TBF, you don't know if he's a scalper until he offers you a price. Could be giving it away for all we know. 😉

Re: Star Wars Outlaws Director a 'Little Disappointed' with Critical Reception
@Rich33 Dunno what you've been playing, but it runs well for me.
Re: Romancing SaGa 2 Remake's Overview Video Is How All RPG Revivals Should Be Marketed
@Czar_Khastik You mean it might of lasted 3 weeks instead of 2?
Actually looking forward to this, especially after hearing it's being developed by the team that did Trials of Mana.
Re: Mini Review: The Casting of Frank Stone (PS5) - A Stripped Back Version of the Supermassive Formula
I might pick this up when it's on a deep sale. You can usually have a good time with a Supermassive Games game, even the average ones.
Re: Rumour: Blizzard's Making a 'AAA RPG-FPS', Possibly an Overwatch Spin-Off
I'd love an Overwatch RPG in the style of Outriders (obviously that's 3rd person, but I mean that style of game). I played it recently and really enjoyed it. I really like Overwatch's Characters and art style, so I'd be all over an RPG set in that world.
