Re: PS4 Players Are Demanding a Better PSN

BigDaddyT0101

Fix the download/upload issues, the c.c errors, and I can be happy. Since 2.01 update my ps4 has downloaded at 500kb a second. I've tried all the dns tricks, bought 3 new routers, subscribed to a higher speed internet (from 15/3 to 75/10), had the old cable wire ripped out of my house and new lines installed straight from the pole, spoken with psn and internet support, have even had them talk to each other, have tried a different ps4 to make sure it wasn't mine. No dice. Before 2.01 download speeds were great, I could shareplay in high quality, stream great, no issues. Post 2.01 has completely changed how I buy games, and even play. This is an issue that is not on my end, or my cable providers end, this was something that started with 2.01. Once in a while my download speeds will skyrocket, for a few seconds, to 10-13mbs, then promptly go down to 500kb. No other device in my house does this, except my ps4. So yes, I would love upgrade psn to happen, or in the least someone to tell me exactly what happened that ruined my shareplay, psnow, streaming, uploads to YouTube/Google, and more importantly downloads. Until then, I still love my ps4 infinitely more than my x1 or pc, but damn if it isn't annoying.

Re: Soapbox: Why So Many E3 2015 Announcements Are Being Spoiled

BigDaddyT0101

I just love the time leading up to e3 and e3 itself. The showmanship, the reveals, the non reveals. I love it all. The biggest tease of all last year was a woman walking on stage to the god of war music, and not showing us anything, and the mass effect reveal non reveal. This year, if i get a 1 minute clip of the new mass effect, a release date for the witness/no mans sky, some doom 4 eye candy, im happy. My pie in the sky is an es announcement, but i know thats not happening. But its like playing the lottery, its ok to dream once in a while.

Re: So, Looks Like Sony's Already Working on the PS5

BigDaddyT0101

While early, with luck, we are 3 years away from a ps5 announcement. I'm all for a 6 year life, giving it 4 prime years, 1 launch year, and 1 downswing we are turning our attention to next gen year. Now this new "pc inspired" architecture does mean I expect a few things. Backwards compatibility, and cross console party chat being the 2 biggest for me. I'm cautiously looking forward to next gen, praying that the cloud doesn't take over, ps now works great, but a fully cloud based console would not work for me.

Re: E3 2015 Will Be Super Crazy Good, Says Sony

BigDaddyT0101

Give me medievil, siphon filter, gt7, gow4, and maybe, just maybe some crash or even a knack 2 (I know it was an average game but man I had fun playing through it 5 times). Also, bring back heavenly sword! Eh, I took the week of e3 off anyways so IL be watching.

Re: Review: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (PlayStation 4)

BigDaddyT0101

Is it bad I played an hour and a half of this, then turned my attention back to project cars? That games beautiful whether on my ps4 or pc, right away I noticed the convoluted ui that plagued the last one was corrected, as well as the camera distance behind geralt farther pulled back, I can't wait to really sink my teeth into it but I'm 50% into project cars platinum and it's got me hooked.

Re: Review: Project CARS (PlayStation 4)

BigDaddyT0101

While I think a 7/10 is a tad low, good review. I personally never saw the screen tearing or ghosting until last night doing the eastbound and down trophy. I have also noticed that some trophies are very vague, or trying to set one up to go after the trophy and having it not work. For instance me and 5 others last night tried the I am the 5% run, turned off everything, locked cockpit view, yet no one got the trophy. We did it 3 times, changing every setting we thought would have an effect, and nothing. Also, tried to set up a real time 24hr le mans, first off, there's no real length option, then supposedly your supposed to race in teams, and allow a friend to be your other driver, so say I take the overnight, he takes the day, and we split the evening. Could not find it anywhere. I absolutely love this game, and the online is really well done, but simple things feel like a different language a lot of times. Also, one last tidbit, if anyone figures out how to make pit manager audio come through headphones and not controller I owe you.

Re: Feature: Five Ways Assassin's Creed Victory Can Stop the Series' Rot

BigDaddyT0101

I was so beyond done with ac after they took what should have been incredible and made it so lackluster (3). Then when ps4 came out I picked up black flag and got hooked something fierce. I wound up passing on unity till my buddy gave me his copy on x1, and it's pretty terrible. My biggest issue being the combat and movement in general. I'd buy a black flag 2 so long as it kept the old combat/climbing session, along with whale hunting, and obviously naval combat.

Re: Rumour: Dishonored: Definitive Edition Sneaks Up on PS4

BigDaddyT0101

As much as I loved dishonored, a remake could go without being made. A sequel, yes. In terms of remasters I would buy that haven't been announced, id have to go with skyrim, morrowind, and mass effect trilogy. They could charge me 80$ each for those versions and I might buy a copy for each console (heck, I already bought skyrim a total of 6-8 times between consoles, pc, legendary editions, and gifts, along with 3 copies of me trilogy) I have the games I love, and have no issues buying them on each platform so I can see the subtle differences.

Re: Those MediEvil PS4 Rumours Have Risen from Their Grave

BigDaddyT0101

Please don't be fake, please don't be fake, please don't be fake. If Sony asked us to crowd fund a reboot, I would most likely dump everything I have into medievil. When I turned 18 and was looking at tattoo designs to get, I kept going back to sir Dan. I don't have the tattoo, because I couldn't bring myself to do it, but the fact that it was a choice between my father's initials, and sir Dan should tell you enough. Hell, they do a reboot, I might reboot the idea, but get it somewhere hidden lol.

Re: Ex-EA Boss: Sony F***in' Nailed It with PS4

BigDaddyT0101

@thedevilsjester yea I remember when the hddvd add on came out arguing with my buddy, yea I paid 600$ for my ps3, but it was all inclusive. The biggest thing to remember, and I think this is why Xbox did so well, was Sony said no, thus is the price, and you don't have a choice, MS said if you want the bare bones then here, if you want more, go ahead and buy this. Then they came out this gen and pulled a Sony. Was just funny watching it happen after spending all of last gen pretty much reading nothing but hate toward the ps3 and their arrogance.

Re: Ex-EA Boss: Sony F***in' Nailed It with PS4

BigDaddyT0101

I still find it weird that Ms would go down the path they did, especially after seeing what happened with the ps3 at the start of last gen. I do however still believe the ps3 represented great value, to make a 360 have all the features the ps3 had at launch cost an extra 2-300$. The parallel with kinect, the focus on media, of being the heart of the entertainment center (which mine most definitely is, but my ps4 gets the grunt work), the relatively high price tag, the announcement, it all just felt like ms was copying Sony ps3 launch. Sony meanwhile focused on gaming, was clear and concise, MS is catching up, but very slowly.

Re: Round Up: Project CARS PS4 Reviews Target a Podium Place

BigDaddyT0101

I couldn't wait any longer. With my ps4 copy paid off and having 25$ left in my steam wallet for a rainy day, I broke down and bought it for my pc. Woo! Mediumish settings, some frame tear issues, but crap it's beautiful, handles well even via the subpar x1 controller (x360 still the better imo and I don't bother with programs for ds4 support), career is fun, it's interesting going from controlling karts to an ruf (makes the ruf feel like a tank), but the real shining moment imo? The open practice. My last race was a stormy, fog filled night on the nurburgring. It was some serious white knuckle stuff, and I felt like after one lap I had just finished God of War 3. Just immense satisfaction, and joy knowing this game is here, it's not a let down, and most of all, it's better than the last few "sims" I've bought. Assetto, forza 5, gt 6, all severely disappointed me, this game 2.5hrs in just has me hooked. Can't wait to wake up tomorrow and play more, and to get my ps4 copy next week and play even more.

Re: PlayStation Plus Subscribers Suddenly Losing Access to Accounts

BigDaddyT0101

That's bizarre. I hope my friends in the UK get this sorted out quickly. Ps now is a great thing though, I would have kept my sub if every psnow game was available with it. The second I saw me2 got added I leapt for joy, then went to play it and found some games are not included. Here's hoping for a me trilogy on ps4 and me4 soon.

Re: No, We Don't Fancy Committing Suicide with Project Morpheus Either

BigDaddyT0101

Huh. I see the distaste for this, but in some games I could also see where this sort of feature could actually be done well. Imagine a survival horror, where you hit a point where your options are die slowly, painfully, or you've got one bullet. There would be an option to fight, with the slim possibility of life, but your options are open. Voluntarily dying quickly would restart you at your last checkpoint. I don't know though, unfortunately there's no way to keep kids from playing something like this, and the thought of some kid acting out his own death in a game is deeply troubling.

Re: May's PlayStation Plus Lineup Will Be Revealed Next Week

BigDaddyT0101

I already have knack and I would love to vote knack. It got some pretty brutal press, most of which undeserved in my opinion. I think I'm on my 6th playthrough, and those that I've convinced to buy it have all loved it. My other vote would be the game that won't be mentioned, followed by any indie title that's relatively low on people's radar.

Re: Sony Really Wants You to Pre-Order PS4 Games on the PlayStation Store

BigDaddyT0101

My issues with digital (coming from someone whose entire library minus gta and destiny is digital and has filled all but 200gb of a 1tb drive) comes down to price, psns download speeds of late (75/10 hardwired nets me mayybe 1mb downloads since 2.01 update), and the curse of buying a game, hating it, and having no way to recoup any money (looks at shadows of mordor, watch dogs, Thief, dead rising, rivals, unity in disgust). Sure it's convenient, and I love not having to put a disc in, but I'd also love to sell my used license to someone for some psn credit. Hell I'd take 10$ each psn credit, better than nothing. To be honest, it's primarily psn speeds that have not been fixed that is resulting in my upcoming games being physical copies more than anything, but I can understand, and emphasize with those that continue to buy physical.

Re: Always Entertaining Actor Charles Dance Says The Witcher 3 Is 'Like A Whole Other World'

BigDaddyT0101

@marston1983 exactly. My personal sign of a great show is whether or not it can provoke an actual emotional response from you. A great example is my buddy finally got on board with watching game of thrones, and when he hit the mountain and the viper he sent me a message saying he was done with the show. He had just spent the last 10 minutes screaming at his TV and then sendng me a massive text wall of how pissed he was. He also happens to be a rager game wise so I knew it was coming. To me that is a hallmark of greatness when it comes to film, or TV.
