It's hard to care about SW story since it won't amount to anything. And Cal shares with Clive from FFXVI the title of the most bland video game protagonist.
Yet another Monster Hunter clone with a gimmick. Like Toukiden. And God Eater. And Freedom Wars. Good for people who like the formula, but if you don't, none of these games will change your mind.
Oh, I remembered being very disappointed by this one. It had great setting and premise, but turned out to be yet another Monster Hunter clone on Vita with no story and characters. Just like Soul Sacrifice.
Only got the game a day before yesterday so I'm still playing it. But it's weird to see takes about Astro being a kids' game. Kids play Fortnite, Genshin and Call of Duty, platformers are played by an old farts like me.
Yeah, from the very first book I thought that Quidditch rules were absolutely f***** up and existed only to make the chosen one even more chosen-ly. The game actually sounds good now, doubt I'll play multiplayer bot definitely will try out the campaign.
Oof, where to start. The year when my grandmother died I saw a trailer for this game where Nikki meets her deceased grandma and receives a gift from her. Back then there was nothing known about the game, I wasn't even sure it was a game, but I knew I wanted it. Later there were more trailers showing varied and charming platforming and I was hooked even more. And now I'm told this is f2p chores simulator aka Animal Crossing with all ***** baggage that comes with f2p. Me sad.
I always prefer native voice acting except cases like Trails of Cold Steel, where glorious Japanese actors didn't even try to correctly pronounce German names.
Yeah, I bought it on steam and got to chapter 2 today. After Stellar Blade I'm definitely not a fan of stamina meter and mute protagonist, but still I enjoy the game. Returned to the first chapter since there is apparently three bells and I only found two.
@Yousef- The only good points of this game I can name is side characters, though combined they have less screen time than the protagonist, and FFXIX fanservice, if that's your thing. Everything else is just so bad it hurts. Visuals are all dark brown and grey, and blurry. Gameplay is non-existent, even on the highest difficulty setting available on first playthrough enemies just stand and wait while you pummel them. Story is barely there and you experienced it a hundred times before: empires bad, ancient evil awakens. Even the music sucks: it's either stock epic choir from Hollywood trailers or barely heard ambient, Socen clearly rested between Endwalker and Dawntrail.

Re: Mini Review: Reynatis (PS5) - Beautiful Action RPG Is Far Too Repetitive
@AndyKazama Crystar should've been a visual novel. Battle system and locations were as basic as humanly possible, but the story was great.
Re: Mini Review: Reynatis (PS5) - Beautiful Action RPG Is Far Too Repetitive
@AndyKazama I'll take Furyu over Square Enix any day.
Re: There Is a God! Netflix Is Bringing Us More Cyberpunk Anime
Edgerunners was miles better than the game itself. But if the next series isn't an anime hy Japanese studio, then there is no hope at all.
Re: Mini Review: Reynatis (PS5) - Beautiful Action RPG Is Far Too Repetitive
Not even a single mention of Yoko Shimomura's music?
Anyway, it's my most anticipated game if the year after Stellar Blade, loved the demo.
Re: Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's Huge PS5 Pro Enhancements Are a 'Vast Improvement'
The only meaningful "vast improvement" for this game is cutting out all the multiverse/time travel buIIshit.
Re: PS5 Exclusives Final Fantasy 16, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Failed to Meet Expectations
@nessisonett Bravely Default II, two Octopath Traveller games. Neither sold "boatloads".
Re: PS5 Exclusives Final Fantasy 16, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Failed to Meet Expectations
@Titntin only FFXIV comes to mind, it probably feeds the whole company.
Re: PS5 Exclusives Final Fantasy 16, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Failed to Meet Expectations
I used to absolutely adore Final Fantasy. Now it could die tomorrow and I wouldn't notice.

Re: Horizon Zero Dawn's PS5, PC Remaster Is Very Much the Real Deal
PS6 will have zero new games, only remasters of PS5 games, and still people would buy it.

You really have a store called Cex?

Guess Sony will go all out on "deep cinematic experience" and live service, and I will go full Nintendo next gen. Well, nice knowing you.

I have a feeling that all those games combined cost less than a month of extra.

@Randinator123 PoP Lost Crown?
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2?
Finished first one, but not liked it enough to spend money on a sequel. Plus too many good games are coming soon.

Nah, I'll rather get that pricey cup of coffee.
Re: PS5's Astro Bot Marketing Onslaught Starting in Busy Shopping Mall
Please buy it, or we're doomed to "deep cinematic experience" and GaaS only.
Re: Mini Review: Vampire Survivors (PS5) - Indie Icon Should Come with a Health Warning
You sure drink some pricey coffee.
Re: Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions' Snitch Has Been Dramatically Nerfed on PS5, PS4
Yeah, from the very first book I thought that Quidditch rules were absolutely f***** up and existed only to make the chosen one even more chosen-ly. The game actually sounds good now, doubt I'll play multiplayer bot definitely will try out the campaign.
Re: Atelier Yumia Staffs Up in The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land on PS5, PS4
I hoped that after Ryza the series will return to it's wholesome cute roots. Next time, I guess.

Good thing I got it on steam then, it was even cheaper.

Lara is everywhere now but Tomb Raider games.

Re: Round Up: What Was Announced During Gamescom Opening Night Live 2024?
I could've played Wukong or Trails through Daybreak. Instead I watched THAT. Deep regret.

Re: Final Fantasy 16's PS5 Exclusivity Ends in September as PC Launch Is Locked Down
@Yousef- for what it's worth, it's just my personal opinion, plenty of people liked the game.

Re: Final Fantasy 16's PS5 Exclusivity Ends in September as PC Launch Is Locked Down
One of the worst games I ever played, and it has nothing to do with the frame rate.
Re: Geoff Keighley Says No Silksong at Gamescom Opening Night Live
It's cute how there are still people who believe that Silksong isn't a vaporware.
Re: Never Has a Game Looked So Good Yet So Jank as PS5's Neo Berlin 2087
Don't really care about face animations since gameplay looks horrible. Shoot-em-up simply doesn't suit such setting.
Re: Site News: Where's Our Black Myth: Wukong PS5 Review?
@Dragoon1994 Stellar Blade was also the first console game for Shift Up, and it ended being the most finished game this year.
Re: Site News: Where's Our Black Myth: Wukong PS5 Review?
I'll get it on steam, benchmark results were fine.

Re: Borderlands Movie Appears to Have Caused a Spike in Player Population, Which Is Something
I like Borderlands, but 3 sucked so bad it hurts. Even Tiny Tina Wonderlands is better (if you mute Ashley Burch).
