Ugh, looks like this might be my last console generation. There's no benefit post MS buying up everyone, inevitably there will be people complaining about a lack of competition and a reduction in innovation but by then it'll be too late.
On the other hand spending $70bn this way is a sad indictment on the state of everything right now. Sigh.

Just recently picked up Kena off the GOTY sale so I've got more than enough to tie me over until the madness that is Feb and March.

@theheadofabroom First time I've played it and love it. For me I put it down to how the game has you progressing, collecting, you get to see the fruits of your labour and you're not constantly killing things. It is just great fun and you actually learn stuff. Frightening.

I foresee sinking over 100 hours into Farming Simulator 22 this year alone.

First time buyer of it here and absolutely loving it. The learning curve can be a bit steep, or rather the hand holding to start is limited so one must think for ones self lol. But there are plenty of helpful YT videos and I think the mark of a great game is when you start playing around 8pm and suddenly you look at your watch and go heck its 1:30am I need to get some sleep

I think the link for Train Sim World 2 could do with fixing, that version is going to be a little difficult to pop into the drive lol

Farming Simulator 22. I wasn't expecting to buy this but glad I took the plunge, just a heap of fun to play.

They wanted an absolute fortune for Godfall when it was first released. That set a bad tone lol
I'll definitely download Lego but that might be it.

I've pressed for a few platinums but I really enjoyed those games to begin with. Otherwise I'll just play the game as I see fit, I mean I don't play online so who on earth am I going to display these virtual trophies to lol. No one else cares

I'm probably more excited about Forspoken but given Elden Ring releases in between Forbidden West and GT7 it was always going to be a wait and see anyway.

Perhaps if it was as cheap in price as it was in the quality control...I might buy it in a fire sale

I somehow scored a ps5 back in March and was over the moon. It is my first playstation so I have had the benefit of playing a lot of ps4 classic games this year like GoW, Tsushima and Zero Dawn. Otherwise the only ps5 games I've played are Rift Apart and Hitman 3. I was going to pick up Kena but never got around to it, still might soon as I'm starting to hang out for some genuine next gen titles hence I'm looking forward to the early 2022 releases.

Zero Dawn Game + and really enjoying it again. Probably also get back into Hitman 2 before Hitman 3.

Try and finish off Jedi Fallen Order. Finished F1 2020 and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Then maybe get back into Hitman 2.

Not that it was on my list anyway lol but good to have my skipping of it confirmed as preserving some sanity.
I'm over this whole remaster old stuff paradox we are stuck in. Let this review be a lesson to others remastering stuff that won't age well.

Pre-ordered the base physical version, a retailer here had it $30 off. The other costs are just way over the top for me and its not like I won't be playing the game a lot to earn more credits over time. Really looking forward to release day!

Still a pass unless on sale with rave reviews, your dialog comments cement my impression from the trailers so far. Cheers for the hands on report.

I'll wait for reviews because the trailers haven't wowed me and in fact made me go "Um, ok...." I'll be happy to be proven wrong.

I'm excited but I temper that with the fact that the Jedi Outcast port was horrible to the point I didn't finish it. They told us KOTOR will be a complete remake so I hold out hope because if they can do it right it could be huge. Such a rich story, great characters and locations.

So the ol racing wheel is going to get a serious workout when this rolls out Looking forward to it.

I was not expecting the KOTOR remake and was skeptical about it until hearing from aspyr at the end that it is more than just a spit and polish being applied, thank goodness.
Otherwise I was underwhelmed until Herman showed up with Wolverine! GT7 and GoW were great.

8am here. I've previously commented that I'd be happy with GT7, Ragnarok, Hogwarts and Forspoken in an effort to try and not be too hyped about it.
But now I think on it more I am going full hype mode, I expect to be blown away

Jedi Fallen Order

Decided to plunge into EA Play. After being frustrated with the unforgiving nature of WRC 9 I wanted to find an enjoyable racing game to use my new wheel. Even though F1 2021 is on sale I figured EA Play was the smarter move given there are some games like Jedi Fallen Order and NFS Heat that I have been meaning to play and I wanted to see if I could still play an F1 game and enjoy it lol. Turns out I can, I'm absolutely loving it.
Will fire up JFO later tonight.

I've opted for the physical ps5 disc version with no frills. Got it 20% cheaper through a local dealer than buying the basic digital version. And the cost for the versions sprinkling in some gear or digital soundtracks was OTT for me.

I never got to play the Hitman games so Hitman 2 will definitely be downloaded. I'm happy!

One of my games downloaded an update about 30 minutes ago and I was playing online so maybe I was lucky.

Nicely summed up. Colour us all surprised.

I enjoyed the game a lot. I could care less about someone rebutting marketing about it being possible only on a PS5. Whether that is technically true or not, many of us bought it and enjoyed it and that's all that matters.
