No purchase here. The multiple delays were a concern, thankfully they released the demo and that didn't feel great to play. Now the reviews by players on this site are confirming how bad it is.
Perhaps they should have taken another 6 months instead of rushing it to beat Hogwarts, I can't remember which final release date was confirmed first after both experienced delays but given time and money this was never going to win me over an established, solid and frankly more interesting IP that has had an excellent game showcase to boot.

Very happy that the high price point turned me off pre-ordering this. Smells like a train wreck for a supposed ps5 showcase.

Excellent news. Digital Deluxe edition pre-ordered. I think it might take me closer to 100hrs for full completion given all of the exploration I'll be doing 😁

I may well get both, already have 2K23 pre-ordered. But it is EA and it doesn't have Tiger, and the course creation community in 2K21 was brilliant, expect it will be the same for 2K23. Can EA match that? Won't find out for ages!

I do miss some of the excellent Fantasy courses from the earlier TW games like The Highlands and one version had a cool one in Australia as well. Still even though we won't get those some of the user community course creations for 2K21 are very impressive.

We typically get bent over on pricing in our NZD but in this case it is one reason why I moved to PS Plus Extra. Free Stray

GoW Ragnarok is another great example. $139 for basic digital version, $159 for fancy pants one. One retailer is selling physical versions for $109 on pre-order that has more bonuses than the basic digital one lol. But those bonuses are all unlocked through game progression anyway so an absolute waste of money.

Downloaded. Played the first 20 minutes. Incredibly cool so far

Compared to the NBA the WNBA is on a slippery slope, consistently loses money and not even playing the same sport as the NBA when it comes to league value. Granted this could improve over time and raising the profile of it through gaming moves like this should help, but I've watched parts of some WNBA games and the consistency in high skill level is where it suffers. That's going to take even longer to rectify.

Definitely will be pre-ordered. Enjoyed the last entry so much and I'm sure this will be as good if not better.

Might as well be excited about it. Until it comes out and you see it there is no way to know for sure if it sucks or not. If it does suck, it won't be the end of the world and if it doesn't suck then it sounds like most of the internet will be pleasantly surprised. Pointless arguing over it before then.

@dark_knightmare2 Agreed. I bought into the hype and got it on sale. I found the game ok but just how big is this list of great RPG's of the last decade if Dragon's Dogma is on it lol

I couldn't be bothered with the Tomahawk complicated credit grind. Instead I race the Le Mans 8 lap race that nets 845k for a clean race with the Ferrari F430, only takes 30 minutes per race. The cars fuel load will only last 2 laps, but as long as you switch to Intermediates or Wet on the first stop and then back to Soft for the others you'll be fine plus you'll only have time to race 7 laps so only need to refuel for half a tank on the last stop and should still win by at least 30 seconds. No major modifications needed. Easy.

10/10 for me. Great story, action, characters, humour with twists and turns and a rich world to explore. Bring on Ragnarok

The thing about playing old nostalgic games is you get the old graphics, control schemes and now subpar game mechanics with them. So I'll stick with the essential until my sub runs out next year, I actually utilise EA Pass more these days so will probably keep that one going.

The first one was ok, most belief could be suspended until they miraculously hooked giant nets under massive ships sunk into the sand and then helicoptered them out. That was just too far lol.

@Loftimus Unbelievable that it is happening right after the patch has been released and I only have time for about an hours play. Take those servers down for maintenance before, don't get me excited about a new patch release only to find as soon as it is installed I cannot play it.
Thankfully F1 2021 just came onto EA Pass. I'll try my luck with GT7 tomorrow.

Just have to say I am supremely happy I didn't shell out for the super expensive fancy pants special edition.

7. It is still pretty good but the lowering of some rewards was petty, the roulette token RNG is horrendous and sometimes the AI is a bit finicky.

GT7 now that I've finished Forbidden West.

Got this email from Playstation congratulating me on completing the main story and achieving the associated trophy. It then went on to say I still had more quests to do and trophies to get and stated that not only had I played 97 hours, but weirdly along with getting 46 trophies so far I had 130 left to unlock Platinum.
130 lol where did they get that from.

Definitely buying, will probably pre-order and might be the first ps5 release where I stump up for a special edition. That state of play was awesome!

The credit rewards were pretty average to start considering you have to keep upgrading cars you have unlocked in order to compete in the next set of challenges. What a mean spirited move.
They didn't happen to fix the 95% chance your reward card ends on the lowest credit reward available did they? I bet they didn't lol

Choosing to not buy Hogwarts Legacy because of the IP creator in the 1990's punishes hard working developers and artists etc. when they are simply passionate about the IP and creating a game off it and are not the IP creator people have an issue with. Madness.

GT7 and Forbidden West

Yeah this install time is ridiculous. Same size as Forbidden West, which took around 70 minutes to install (ps5 disc version) and GT7 is going to take closer to 10 hours.
Nothing I know of has changed in the 2 weeks since I installed FW.

Personally I don't have numerous hours to put into numerous attempts, I've done that before in games and only felt relief at finally becoming victorious, completely overshadowed by the frustration of hours of attempts.

Uh, no you don't lol. Maybe reword that to "as many players that enjoy getting their butts handed to them over and over" as possible. Some players love overcoming the challenge and all power to them.

Anyway at least I know what I am in for and I have a choice. That choice for me is to play FW and GT7 for now, and maybe pick up Elden Ring, when it is on sale, and when I have nothing else I'd rather play.

I'm not sure who said this game should be realistic. What sort of realism are we expecting lol. It is a fantasy game set in the future. It boggles the mind that the diversity on show is considered unrealistic but the machines are what, bang on for being realistic? They're appealing to a wider audience with the characters in this fictional game and who can blame them.

Anyway I'm loving the game. Any reviews of around 5/10 is evidence that the game isn't for that person, anything below that is poor trolling. I don't play Halo, don't play COD. I'd never review bomb them though or criticise their lack of realism, they're just not my thing.

Resolution mode all the way and the environments are so full and gorgeous. What a game.
