I watched Gravity in 3D in my PSVR with earplugs in on my own a couple of years ago. I thought the immersion was incredible, so imagine my surprise when (thinking the alarms were so realistic) one of the ear buds dropped out and I realised the actual fire alarm was going off!!
Fortunately not a real fire but if it was I would have happily been toast.
I assume the PSVR2 controllers have haptic feedback too, so I'm guessing they'll be some tactile feedback when you actually strike the drum. Without that it'd be not so good methinks.
Naughty Dog may be done and dusted with Uncharted, but I'm sure the accountants and marketeers would hate to see such a HUGE franchise become dormant. A new studio to take up the reins with a new story in the same universe. Not an Uncharted 1,2 or 3 (or even 4) remake though.
Yep, I've got a fair collection of pinball FX tables, but I've totally stopped buying them even on sale since the announcement about no importing whatsoever. I'll stick with what I've got thanks, you lost yourselves a customer Epic, there's no way I'm going in for another subscription service.
graphics "Also of note is that the Ishimura is now looking like the most beautiful rustbucket covered in dead tissue abominations you’re ever likely to see. Yes, it’s probably darker than it needs to be at times, but the visual upgrade of the place is absolutely stunning. Better yet, the memorable areas of the original are largely kept the same in terms of design, and really show the best of the visual overhaul in action."
Haptics "The haptic feedback is different depending on the weapon, and so are the adaptive triggers. Much like Returnal, there’s an almost sickeningly sweet feel to every round fired, and it almost feels like it was designed to make you forget that ammo wasted is death brought forward. The Pulse rifle used to be a favorite of mine in the original games, but here it has a punch to it that has to be experienced to be believed. Part of that is the kick haptics and adaptive triggers bring into its rate of fire, but the way it strips away at Necromorph flesh is a disgustingly wonderful sight indeed.
The Force Gun though? It’s basically Dead Space’s equivalent of a shotgun and it is ridiculous. It absolutely obliterates foes at close range, and its secondary fire is a gravity well that pulls nearby enemies into a small space, allowing you to finish the fleshy feckers off with a hearty blast from two feet away. I love a good video game shotgun, and Dead Space’s Force Gun is up there as one of the most satisfying variations on it."
Glad both Thumper & Beat Saber are being upgraded, both immense VR experiences. I'm really hoping that although Beat Saber will have a cost, I hope I don't need to rebuy the DLC again too.
I must say, I'm really not a fan of the original Star Wars trilogy, totally spoilt it for myself by watching it many, many times over the last 40 odd years.
Can't stand James Bond movies either, seen so many of them...
This game really needs a light gun to work, controlling a cursor on screen with a Dualsense is rubbish in comparison.
However I have a tiny bell in the back of my head that modern TV's can't do lightguns in the way that old CRT tellys could, something about HDMI or the screen pixels being different these day. Tell me I'm wrong if so.
Of course like everyone else I pretty much got my free PS5 version of Witcher 3 as soon as it was available. However now I would have got 5 valuable points if I'd waited until Jan, and there appears to be no way to get them retroactively. Bummer!
I just got back from spending Christmas in Taiwan. A truly excellent country in it's friendliness, food, scenery and services. I recommend everyone to go if you have the chance.

@nessisonett I had a go at the free trial, got through the tutorial and then suddenly realised I didn't have a clue what to do next!
I think it probably is an epic game, just a bit inaccessible to start with. I will give it another go at some point though.

Konami currently having similar transformation.
All because of timely revisits to back catalogue titles to show what works after losing their way with customers.

Not an Uncharted 1,2 or 3 (or even 4) remake though.

How long was the wire to the PS5 would you say?
Can the lenses be adjusted for glasses wearers to their prescription so you don't need to wear them whilst playing?
Love the idea of the eye tracking!!
