I must say playing GT7 with PSVR2 is quite jaw droppingly good.

Following 'The Making of Karateka', I'm really interested to see what games are next in the series.

Would love to see 'Rescue on Fractalus' and 'Dungeon Master' for example.

This is one of the things that PlayStation as a brand has maintained and Xbox has lost, memorable characters.

You ask me for Xbox mascots and I can only think of Master Chief and Marcus Fenix (who hasn't been in a game for a little while now).

Might get the main 3 seperately when on cheap, but this collection sounds like a massive missed opportunity and a big let-down (especially compared to something like the Atari 50 collection or the Karateka story).

Have to agree with people here, I do enjoy your writing almost all the time, but this title is clickbaity and the actual article isn't really relevant anyway.
HK is credited in the games he was involved in, not the porting process, extras etc involved in this package. So what?

It's not an upgrade.

It's a replacement.

Every PlayStation generation has had a 'slim' model introduced during its lifetime.

The only upgrade was for the PS4, which needed a boost to properly provide 4K support at the time when 4K telly's started to sell to the mainstream public.

Space Harrier...many a 50p of my summer holiday pocket money went into the one at Weymouth pier arcade when I was about 10.... happy days.

I just finished off Seperate Ways for the first time last night, totally awesome!!!!

Ada is great and I'd have to agree RE4 is still my GOTY contender (really looking forward to the PSVR2 update).

Missed the chance to have a subtitle something like

Will hang on but keep one eye on it, sounds to me it's patch or two away from true greatness.

FF7 Rebirth is the only one tickling my fancy there at the moment.

Burnt out on Elden Ring, but will probably get the DLC anyway.

Returnal is such a wonderful game, the mechanics in it are quite brilliant and the gameplay itself is fantastic.

A hard but fair game, once you embrace it's roguelike nature and accept that 'dying' is actually part of the game progression you realise it really is one of the best shooters out there (IMHO).

Hollowseeker and Electropylon launcher for the win, things get alot easier once you get the Atropian Blade too.

I wouldn't cry too much for the contractors, they probably get paid more the double the 'permies' do and would probably just be leaving anyway (end of contract).

I got Assassins Creed Valhalla and kept putting it off as every time I finished my current game, I'd read there was a new 'update' or DLC for it, so I thought I'd wait until I could get the full experience.

Still not played it, been overtaken by other big hitters so basically sitting on the backlog and money poorly spent (will probably never get around to it now either).

In the recent 'Harry & Megan' South Park episode, the bit that I thought hit the nail on the head was the branding agency helping all the clients, by listing each one as 'victim'.

Sadly it seems to be the state of the world where people who aren't really victims of anything at all want to gain attention and sympathy and this tactic seems to be the quickest way to do it.

Last quick example, a very famous BBC newsreader called Huw Edwards was recently outed as a major sex pest, funding teenage girls drug habits online to gain explicit photos as well as being inappropriate with young BBC staff as he believed he was effectively untouchable.
Once publicly named the narrative quickly changed to how his mental health had been affected by all the negative attention and we have to worry that he doesn't do anything silly before checking into a mysterious rehab and the story buried.

Been wavering after reading all the PC reviews and whether PS5 performance would be ok, but it sounds from this review it's all good so off to make a purchase!

Apparently there are plans to do a whole series of the documentaries on classic games from Digital Eclipse.
I'm really interested to see what they produce next.
