It's Rockstar - maximizing profits is tantamount. They would have no issue whatsoever limiting their game's prowess if it meant moving tens of millions of extra copies on older hardware.

They also know they're controversy-proof. It doesn't matter if a bunch of enthusiasts make a fuss online when their massive mainstream audience is going to buy the product all the same.

Saw the words "Stellar Blade" in passing, stopped scrolling and actually read the article, found out it's not about Stellar Blade at all, and the game it's about is not coming to PS5 anyway. What a doozy.

It's just too bad that the only (I think?) physical version of the game is a censored one.

Who is it that the Twitter losers want to kill off so badly they're harassing a writer, anyway? Can't think of anything off the top of my head, unless this is being done by some of the people who are upset that Biggs and Wedge survived because that changed their precious story.

Whenever I see one of these articles about an additional 1,000 fixes and whatnot, it validates my decision to wait a while before I play BG3. As amazing as the game probably is already, it's just going to get more and more solid an experience with time.

Honestly, I think it's best not to expect anything out of ND period, for the foreseeable future. Factions was clearly their main focus for years and that work largely went down the drain, so anything else they've got in the oven will be a long way from completion.

I'm kind of hoping they'll end up adding Crisis Core to Extra in the coming months as a promo of sorts for Rebirth, since Zack seems to now have a bigger role there and all.

Looking forward to it in just a few days. I'm hoping it won't be so short that the price will feel absurd in hindsight, though. But unlike something like The Kaito Files, this does have side stuff to do, so I'm not very worried.

I'll play Mafia II, completed the first one when they gave it on Essential previously and I was always deciding whether to buy the second one or not when it went on sale.

Good month for me based on that game alone. Not interested in the multiplayer Alien game; I guess the Dragon Ball one could be something to try out a couple times when friends come over.

This still sounds very far off in the distance, but my interest is mainly in a game sequel anyway.

I find it interesting that a live service company in a straight downwards trajectory still got itself in a position to decide whether other teams' live service projects (like Factions) are viable or not.

Between Dead Space and this, next time there's a 1€ offer for a month of EA Play it's going to be worth it.

Busy with other games at the moment, but I'll get to it eventually.

I did 100% complete Alan Wake Remastered a month ago or so, and while it wasn't exactly a new favorite of mine, I'm kind of intrigued about what they'll do with its story and characters in the sequel.

I think their "core" now is doomed live service projects.

I completed Far Cry 3 last year and liked it, but it'll probably be my first and last contact with the franchise. I'm not interested in playing more of the same with 4-6, but I'm even less interested in some MP drivel.

Am I mistaken or did they remove the part with the developer's statement from the video entirely?

I watched the video linked here a few hours ago and it had that - now it seems to be gone, leaving just the game trailer itself. On its YouTube comments you can also see people mentioning said statement.

I'm not going to get this at launch, but I imagine I'll play it eventually.

When I do, it'll be nice to only have to go through the game once - my second, Nightmare playthrough really dragged on when I 100%'d the first game recently, and Alan Wake 2 looks to be a lot longer.

Just make your game's hardest difficulty available from the start and I'll happily do my one and only playthrough on it. That's the way to go.

Yeah, the Extra games are fine. I'll play Disco Elysium and Alien Isolation at the very least, maybe more.

Eldest Souls is a neat game too, but I already completed that one.

I 100%'d Cuphead yesterday, so I'm back to playing Jedi Fallen Order.

Depending on the day, I might not get it Day 1 - chances are I'll still be playing Like a Dragon 8.

Then there's Rebirth on Feb 29th, so I'd need to do Shadow of the Erdtree before that day... but that sounds doable enough.

I've got enough self-control not to sink money into these derivative arena fighter games, but man does stuff like playable Maki test that self-control. She's so cool.

I wonder if "currently investigating" ever means something other than a bunch of executives running in circles muttering "oh crap, oh crap". It's not like they're going to avoid any of this stuff being sold or leaked.

The real update the PS Store needs is a feature to hide/ignore games you don't want to see anymore. So tired of wading through the same walls of shovelware and the like every time I browse a sale.

It was only a matter of time for Callisto. There's a pricey Season Pass for all the DLC, so I won't be playing the base game just yet - but I'll gladly claim it for later.

Looking forward to knowing what that third game is, but if the monthly pattern so far is anything to go by... probably an MP game I have no interest in.

That's fine by me. Mainly because I never had them in my battle party anyway, but also because with all the other characters I've got enough movesets to get through and properly learn. I expect to mostly swap between Yuffie, Tifa and Cloud, though.

I'm sure these two will get their due attention when they round out the trilogy with Final Fantasy 7: Refreshed & Rehydrated.

That bit about Kiryu being able to just step out of the turn-based gameplay and kick ass in real time is the best thing I've ever read. Hope it'll work nicely!

I'm getting Infinite Wealth in January and Rebirth in February. Feels stacked enough already with just those two games, can't imagine taking on more.
