Re: LEGO Horizon Adventures (PS5) - Dull Design Lets Down This Gorgeous Spin-Off

Strange that they don’t have level/mission select like the older games. It’s like when they removed character creation from the LEGO Star Wars Saga game. That was a feature my Nephews enjoyed most and they still play LEGO Villains (and one of the Marvel games) for the character creation even now. They haven’t touched LEGO Star Wars since they finished the main story.

Re: Fortnite Mixing It Up with Hip-Hop Chapter 2 Reboot

I only really knew Snoop from the movie Pitch Perfect 2 (‘Groovy like a drive-in movie!’ 😎). But I recognise some of his older songs. Ice Spice, I don’t know her. M&M, I don’t want to know her.

The rappers are front and centre in the trailer but you can ignore them for the most part in the actual game.

Most of the locations are the same as they were originally. And it’s great to be back on the best map with the best weapons.

The Prelude event was awful though.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League?

ItsBritneyB_tch

@KundaliniRising333 but the number of gamers visiting gaming sites like this one are a minority of the overall number of gamers. So 80% of the minority are ‘haters for the sake of hating.’

You’ll find the majority of people visiting sites like this one are overwhelmingly anti-live service (and view live service games as a cancer of the gaming industry). So their opinion is heavily biased and the result of the poll isn’t surprising in the least.

Most of the people voting haven’t played it and don’t intend to play it (watching videos on YouTube doesn’t count).

If Push Square published reviews without playing a game but based on watching a few videos on YouTube, we’d all think it was dumb. Because it is. How can you review a game (or form an opinion of it) without playing it?

Signed my Nephew up at the beginning of November (knowing I was getting him psn vouchers for Christmas). Received an email from Sony to say he was on a ‘waiting list’… why? Why are there waiting lists for PS Stars? They probably know people will be getting vouchers for Christmas and don’t want to pay out the points. We still haven’t heard anything from Sony to say my Nephew is a member and it’s been two months.

Re: Game of the Year: #9 - Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

I enjoyed it but it’s biggest weakness was it’s story.

The first game left me wanting more but whilst the sequel was fun, it was also completely forgettable.

There were definitely improvements over the first game but the story was a huge downgrade imo.

Re: Game of the Year: Best PS5, PS4 Open World Game of 2023

ItsBritneyB_tch

Enjoyed all of these games.

Playing Avatar at the minute and it’s one of the most beautiful open world games I’ve ever played. The attention to detail is immense. It feels like a living, breathing world with a fully realised ecosystem. It’s one of the things I always loved about the Avatar movies.

@PixelDragon I don’t speak for all gamers though. Just me 😁

Maybe once I see some reviews (or more coverage) I might change my mind but as of right now, I don’t look at this list and think, ‘OMG I can’t wait for that!’ Well, with the exception of Tomb Raider because it’s my favourite gaming franchise. But that’s only a remake of the first three games, not a new TR game (which would be ‘OMG I can’t wait for that!’).

But I’m not one of the ‘complaining gamers’ and don’t need every new game to reinvent the wheel. I’d happily play a new Assassins Creed game every year and would never get bored.

I feel like Sony need to reveal their release schedule for the whole year so we know what to expect. A ‘low-key’ start to the year isn’t as bad if we know there are some heavy hitters coming further down the line.

There’s nothing really except Tomb Raider 1-3, Star Wars Outlaws and Suicide Squad. Next year is looking pretty terrible for big game releases. Hopefully there are some surprises. Otherwise, the only games I’ll be playing next year (except for the three I mentioned) are F2P games.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 506

I was planning on playing Avatar this weekend but I’ve mostly been playing LEGO Fortnite. I think I’ll be playing a lot of LEGO Fortnite going forward. Already played 10-15 hours so far - it’s so addictive. Seems to have been a huge success too - there have been at least 2 million players every time I’ve logged in since launch.

I’m also chipping away at the new Dreamlight Valley expansion and Christmas Star Path. The new island is amazing. Hope there are more expansions in the future.

Finally, Disney Speedstorm and the new Frozen season. Only started playing this game last month but it’s really fun. I don’t usually enjoy racing games but this one is great.

Re: Rocket Racing Trailers Are Here to Hype You Up, Available Now in Fortnite

ItsBritneyB_tch

Only played one race (and the tutorial) but it wouldn’t let me in any other races after that.

I thought what little I played was alright but I’m not a big racing fan really. The only racing game I’ve gotten into is Disney Speedstorm. I’ll need to give Rocket Racing a few more tries before I make up my mind. I will say that 4,000 vbucks for a vehicle skin is ridiculous though.

But I do think it’s crazy impressive what Epic games has delivered with all these new games in such a short space of time.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora?

ItsBritneyB_tch

Love the movies and can’t wait to play the game. My copy arrived today - I’ve installed it but I haven’t had a chance to start it yet. I platinumed the PS3 Avatar game three times and from what I’ve seen so far, this game is so much better. Dream come true for us Avatar fans. Wish we were getting an Avatar collab in Fortnite though.

Disney Speedstorm I don’t Usually like racing games but I’m hooked on this one. The new season is great so far.

Dreamlight Valley getting ready for the new update and expansion next week. Can’t wait 😁

Robocop: Rogue City fans of Robocop will love this game. I’m enjoying it but not as much as Terminator: Resistance - I always preferred the Terminator movies though.
