Re: Final Fantasy 9 Remake May Be Real, But Recent Leaks Aren't

JustPlainLoco

@Dragoon1994 - Oh yeah I forgot Lost Soul Aside was a definite 2024 release, as for Wolverine? Nah I think it's a 2025 release, and I think the Silent Hill 2 Remake is releasing this year, especially considering Bloober Team has stated a few times already that the game is nearing completion and are just waiting for Konami to greenlight a release date, however the KOTOR Remake looks like it might end up being a late 2025 or early 2026 release due to progress on the KOTOR Remake being scrapped and restarted under a new studio.

Just to clarify; when I said we don't know what's coming in 2024, I was specifically referring to PlayStation First-Party Studios, right now we only know of 4 games, and only one of them is likely to release in 2024, but we don't know what Team Asobi, Bluepoint, Nixxes, London Studio, Sucker Punch (Likely Ghost of Tsushima 2), Firesprite, Media Molecule, Santa Monica Studio, XDev, Malaysia Studio and a few other studios are working on.

Re: Feature: Your Top 10 PS5, PS4 Games of 2023 So Far

JustPlainLoco

@Cordyceps - If you didn't feel some type of way about it, you wouldn't have said anything about it. And given you're the only one (so far) who even pointed out this quote unquote 'issue' and then proceed to question the 'player base' who just wanted to play FF16 much in the same way people wanted to play Hogwarts Legacy, it's obvious that it bothered you, not sure why though, it's really not that big a deal.

Re: Feature: Your Top 10 PS5, PS4 Games of 2023 So Far

JustPlainLoco

@Cordyceps - Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't seem to remember there being any people of color in FF15 either, and no one cared then, so why is it an issue now in FF16? Honestly it doesn't matter either way, because someone is going to be offended regardless, if you're inclusive "Oh no they have an agenda! They're pushing for inclusivity in my video game" or "Where's the inclusivity in my video games? Oh they must be racists, sexists, transphobic etc".

So what's the point of getting upset over this? It just comes across as if you're looking for a reason to be offended, it's just a video game, but the fact you just tried to shame people for liking it, it makes you come across as just as bad as those who shamed people/gamers for liking Hogwarts Legacy, when at the end of the day, it's just video games.

Sad that there was no love given to Bramble: The Mountain King, truly one of 2023's underrated gems, and I can see it already being one of my GOTY contenders. If you're a fan of Little Nightmares games, you'll love Bramble: The Mountain King. I also recommend the once STADIA Exclusive game Gylt that just released on all platforms, it's dirt cheap and a great little game, 11 hours over 3 days and 2 playthroughs later, I got the Platinum for it 2 days ago.

Seriously people, show Bramble: The Mountain King & Gylt your support, both great games made by great studios that deserve your time and money.

Re: Final Fantasy 9 Remake May Be Real, But Recent Leaks Aren't

JustPlainLoco

Can't wait for Square Enix to confirm that the Final Fantasy 9 Remake is legit, it'll probably be revealed later this year, as I have a feeling Sony plans to have another Showcase toward yeat's end AFTER the release of Spider-Man 2, because aside from Third-Party Exclusives; Rise of the Ronin & FF7 Rebirth, we really don't know what to expect in 2024 from a First-Party perspective, other than Factions maybe.

Re: Existence of 'Undisclosed' Rockstar VR Game Leaks via Actors' Resume

JustPlainLoco

Bully being the article's headline image just makes me crave a Bully Remastered Edition or Bully 2 in general, I know both are unlikely to happen but I wish it would, Bully was truly unique for it's time, and there's so much more you can do with that series, plus I'm over GTA, but because of the overwhelming success of GTAV, Take 2 will likely never allow Bully 2 to happen in favor of milking GTA for all it's worth.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Final Fantasy 16?

@Gamer_Guy - Damn that sounds horrible, my vertigo has never gotten to the point of being as bad as you have had it. My vertigo gives me mostly minor dizzy spells, thankfully I've never had the room spin on me, my best friends gets that kind of vertigo though, but sometimes the dizziness makes me a little sick in the stomach, but due to a botched operation I had as a kid to get rid of my acid reflux, I'm physically incapable of vomiting, which sounds like a good thing, until you end up sick to your stomach and NEED to be sick. I remember back in 2020, I had two vertigo attacks, I was so lightheaded, I needed help just to walk, the tips of my fingers and toes went numb, and I was having a panic attack, first time I was administered into hospital for 4 days, and the second time which happened 2 months later, I was taken to the hospital, pumped me with some kind of medication (I was too out of it to remember what they gave me) and I was just sent home. NGL I had never been more scared in my life then I was enduring both vertigo attacks, I honestly thought I was about to kick the bucket.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Final Fantasy 16?

JustPlainLoco

@sentiententity - Thanks, considering I know what it's like to have problems that can hinder your daily progress, I know what me Nan and Pop are going through, and they've always been there for me, so I gotta do what I can for them.
Migraines do indeed suck, especially when it messes with your vision like it does to me sometimes.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Final Fantasy 16?

JustPlainLoco

Wish I could, my copy arrived today, but been having vertigo spells and headaches, and those tend to last a couple days, plus I have to look after my Pop while my Nan's in hospital getting hip surgery, and will have to help out my Nan when she gets out of hospital too.
So I probably won't get to play FF16 until late next week, or possibly even the week after that.

Re: Marvel's Spider-Man 2's Wild Range of Suits Includes Stunning Original Designs

JustPlainLoco

I actually like the suits for Miles, I think they go well with his style, and mimics some of the suits from his game, I wouldn't say they are great, but good enough, but the suits for Peter? Nah those are some bad suits, really doesn't fit Peter at all.
EDIT: I'm only referring to the 2 Early Suits with Different Colors, the 5 different suits for both Peter & Miles all vary from okay to great IMO

Re: Well Actually, Metal Gear Delta: Snake Eater PS5 Will Reuse the Original Voice Lines

JustPlainLoco

@SuperSilverback - Interesting, I hadn't heard any mention of him being upset about not voicing Snake in MGSV, there might very well be some truth to that, but I'm just not sure, I always remember hearing that David Hayter despised playing Snake, or perhaps it was Kojima's voice-acting directing methods? We know Kojima is very much a perfectionist, maybe that's what he despised about voicing Snake, not so much the character, but Kojima's methods? However I'm just speculating on that last part.

Re: Want More Metal Gear Solid Remakes for PS5? You Need to Ensure Konami Knows

JustPlainLoco

I'll take a remake of every MGS game prior to MGSV before I take a brand new entry from Konami, after how they treated Kojima and then went on to make the abomination that was Metal Gear Survive, I don't truet them to do justice to MGS.

Sure I'm willing to give them a chance with Silent Hill, only because IMO it's a lot harder to screw up a Silent Hill game than a Metal Gear Solid game.

Re: Sony 'Not in Talks' with CD Projekt RED About an Acquisition

JustPlainLoco

Don't understand the appeal of CD Projekt Red anyway, no one really knew or even cared about them OR The Witcher series until The Witcher 3 came along (Aside from maybe a handful of PC Players), and IMO The Witcher 3 is incredibly overrated, held back even more by it's horrible PS2 dated combat, sure it looks and runs well, and the story was interesting enough, but the combat was just bad. And I knew from the get-go Cyberpunk 2077 was not going to appeal to me.

Re: Bloodborne Fans Think They've Found Further Evidence of a PC Port

JustPlainLoco

Just played Bloodborne the other day, and yeah I finally see why it needs a 60fps patch, 30fps is not a dealbreaker for me, but I see why there's a demand for this 60fps. I'll happily pay for a Bloodborne Remaster or Bloodborne Remake, Bloodborne is just such an incredible game, that I'll never have a problem supporting it in any way, shape or form.

Re: Rumour: Ghost of Tsushima 2 Not at PlayStation Showcase

JustPlainLoco

Personally I didn't think it would be, it feels a bit too soon for Ghost of Tsushima 2, plus if Rise of the Ronin releases next year, is it really a good idea to release 2 Exclusive Samurai centric Games in the same year? At best there might be a teaser similar to what they did with God of War Ragnarok, where they just show the logo with Jin Sakai voiceover, other than that I think Ghost of Tsushima 2 will get a proper reveal in 2024 and will release Early 2025, same year as I believe Wolverine will release.

Re: Former PlayStation Boss Saddened by PixelOpus Studio Closure

JustPlainLoco

@3Above - Thanks, and you made an excellent point as well about how a 'smaller budget title means a smaller marketing budget', I failed to consider this, but I've never understood that 'poor marketing' excuse that people are so fond of, especially in this internet driven age, not to mention; do people TRULY expect Sony/PlayStation to plaster a small title like Concrete Genie on buses, trains & billboards like they did God of War, Spider-Man, The Last of Us & Ratchet & Clank? The amount of money that would cost would probably cost them HALF of what Concrete Genie's budget was, so even if it seems to have sold well enough (It did chart on NPD three times, granted not very high each time), the marketing cost on top of the budget, they likely would have lost money.

Hell it sounds like Concrete Genie's sales wasn't even the reason the studio was closed down, but rather Sony/PlayStation wasn't impressed with what they were making, and while I still think it was a mistake to shut them down, as I do believe every studio should have 3 chances to prove their worth, but I get it from a business standpoint, I don't like it, but I get it.

Re: Former PlayStation Boss Saddened by PixelOpus Studio Closure

JustPlainLoco

@KaijuKaiser - Thank you! You pretty much said exactly what I wanted to say, but better detail. However I too have to add my two cents on the matter.

Every time someone here says "I want something different and unique" and then a game like Concrete Genie comes along, and it IS different & unique, people don't buy it, BUT as soon as it comes to PS Plus, SUDDENLY now you're interested??? And I know a LOT of people HERE did exactly that, and then you lot wonder why Sony isn't trying to make those AA & Indie games? Even more ironic considering the heat Sony got during those first 2-3 years of the PS4 for their 'heavy focus on AA & Indie Titles, it's like everyone wants to pretend 'IndieStation' never happened...

This is why studios like Lince Works (Developers of Aragami) were closed down, because people didn't buy the game, instead resorting to "Well it's on Gamepass" and STILL didn't support it, further proving Subscription Services are detrimental to gaming (And the TV, Film & Music Industry) "Oh but this game had 3 Million Players in the first week", okay but engagement numbers aren't going to pay the dang bills.

And I don't want to hear this "Oh it failed because of poor marketing", in this internet driven age, that excuse don't fly, especially considering Concrete Genie, Aragami & Aragami 2 had multiple videos dropped on these games months even years before these games released, and there have been many examples of smaller titles releasing with little to no marketing and still ended up being successful.
