@Bigtuna515 - Yes and most times it's some cryptic message that barely counts as a clue, then there are others that want me to 'kill 3 wise beast' referring to those transparent turtles and then there are others with a sigil but no prompt,
Still playing Elden Ring, but I'm starting to get annoyed by the game, since it's never entirely clear where you're supposed to go. I beat a Boss, oh a blue aura gateway blocks me from going forward, well okay, now that I'm stronger I'll take on that one area, fight the boss, and... another blue aura gateway!? Seriously I honestly have no idea where to go from here, it's never clear, and there's rarely any indication how to progress, it's starting to make me want to put the game down and play something else.
The Sly Cooper TV Show supposedly still in development, only now it's under PlayStation Productions, I see no reason why they wouldn't revive the Sly Cooper franchise and make new games to coincide with the upcoming TV Show, they're supposedly doing the same with Twisted Metal & maybe The Last of Us. Rumors were that Sumo Digital were working on this new Sly Cooper game, but I'm hoping it is actually PixelOpus because while playing Concrete Genie it definitely felt like a nice blend of Sly Cooper & Infamous (Ash even looks like a young Delsin Rowe IMO). While I wouldn't be opposed to Sumo Digital making a Sly Cooper game, they did a fantastic job with Sackboy A Big Adventure, but knowing it could be being worked on by a First-Party Studio, I think it's in better hands with PixelOpus... assuming all this is true, and yes I am leaning toward it being true.
Having only learned about Shadow Warriors 3 and the series recently (The same day it was announced that it was coming to PS Now day one), and watching the trailer for this game, I was immediately hooked, not only did I buy Shadow Warriors 3, I also bought Shadow Warriors 1 & 2 from the PS Store, and plan on playing through all 3 games once I've finished Elden Ring, Dying Light 2, Horizon Forbidden West & Sifu.
So far haven't had a single (Game-breaking) issue with my copy of the game, aside from the occasional graphical pop-ins and occasional frame-drops, but nothing that happens the experience dramatically. While I'm certainly enjoying the game, my score for the game is a constant back-and-forth between 8 & 9. Many of the bosses are either way too easy or just hard, there's no real middle-ground, and there's far too many easy bosses, some of the easiest bosses in the series even. And while I do enjoy exploring, there are times where I find myself getting frustrated not finding anything noteworthy, I also think the open-world needs more enemies littered throughout it, sometimes I can go 5-10 minutes without encountering a single enemy making the world fill emptier than it really is.
Was gonna wait for my physical copy to arrive on Monday before playing Elden Ring, but after watching just 2 reviews for this game, I won't be able to wait that long, so I'm just going to buy it digitally in a couple hours and start playing it the moment the clock strikes midnight, just as I did for Days Gone & Dying Light 2.
@Shepherd_Tallon - I guess I can't really understand what the issue truly is because I buy most my games physically, and because of that I'm naturally already paying more by default, so I can't pretend like this $10 upgrade fiasco bothers me, since I buy multiple copies of games, not just for PS4 & PS5, but Switch as well (Though not as frequently), and then there's digital games I do buy but eventually get a physical release, like A Hat in Time for Switch & PS4, or the more recent Sifu for PS4 & PS5. It's certainly more expensive this way, and there's no real justification as to why I do it outside of wanting to own and collect as many games as I can, as well as being the source that my gaming friends can turn to if they themselves can't afford or aren't willing to buy some games, though if it's a game I know for a fact they will like / play based on their specific taste in said games, I do encourage them to buy them, knowing it'll be a game they will undoubtedly end up wanting to replay later on down the road.
I bought it physically for both PS4 and PS5, I do this for a lot of games (Buy Games multiple times), so I can continue growing my physical games collection, plus it also means I always have a spare copy of some games, so I can always lend one version of the game to a friend (Like I did with Kena, Bugsnax & Alan Wake Remastered), or simply put one version of the game away in a container as a backup copy should something happen to my current version.
Even if God of War Ragnarok doesn't release until 2023, I think we as PlayStation fans have been plenty spoiled so far with the likes of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, Sifu, Horizon Forbidden West & Gran Turismo 7 just around the corner, then we have Forspoken, Ghostwire Tokyo, Salt & Sacrifice, Little Devil Inside, Stray & FF16? (I don't think the rumored delay was confirmed), then there's the rumored The Last of Us Remake & Factions MP, granted I'm still unsure whether The Last of Us Remake is even real, but I think Factions MP could release late 2022, if not that just bolsters 2023, especially if God of War Ragnarok & Spider-Man 2 end up as 2023 games.
That being said, I am curious what else is coming in 2023, we'll likely be getting another big PlayStation Showcase very soon, possibly right after Gran Turismo 7, that showcase however will likely be heavily VR focused, but hopefully the rumors about these VR Titles being able to be played with / without VR is true (VR not an option for me because of my vertigo). Plus I could see some new big announcements being made from other First-Party Studios like Sucker Punch, PixelOpus, Firesprite, Bluepoint & perhaps Team Asobi, also Sumo Digital rumored to be working on a Sly Cooper game.
Sucks that I live 8-10 hours away from Sydney, I would love to get a picture riding the Clawstrider with the caption "Going for a ride to the Forbidden West". I'm incredibly envious of you right now @Bondi_Surfer
I figured Late 2022 was likely, bit bummed out by this news as I'm really looking forward to this, but oh well I can wait til 2023, hopefully I'm still alive by then LOL.
@J2theEzzo - I think they would only use characters from Demon's Souls & Bloodborne because they own those IP's, but I agree with the Chosen Undead from Demon's Souls, but I would also have The Hunter from Bloodborne, maybe Eileen the Crow, and the final boss; Gherman perhaps as an unlockable character, his introduction as the final boss in Bloodborne was already perfect "Tonight... Gherman joins the Hunt", basically a 'Joins the Fight' intro card. If they could get Dante from Devil May Cry, I could imagine a rivalry forming between him and the Hunter from Bloodborne, because Dante could mistake the Hunter for being a Demon because he consumes Blood Vials.
PlayStation All-Stars 2 Story Mode where Sackboy & Astro meet, but instead of becoming rivals, quickly become the best of friends. Sackboy & Astro hug to affirm lifelong friendship (Heart melts)
The more I see stuff like this the more I want a PlayStation All-Stars 2, PlayStation really does need a fighting game franchise to call their own, it could even be a collaborative effort between Bluepoint, Insomniac, Santa Monica Studios, Team Asobi & XDev.
Ironic how so many people gave Miles Morales so much crap for being 'Over-glorified DLC' yet I hear next to no criticism being given toward Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare, some even claim it's the 'Greatest DLC Ever Made' yet it can be finished in just 2 hours, 4 - 5 hours if you're going for 100% completion. Normally how long it takes to beat a game doesn't matter to me in the slightest, but the time it takes to complete it seems to be the main reason for comparing it as DLC, which makes no sense because Miles Morale is a far lengthier experience than Undead Nightmare, providing upwards of 20 hours of content, compared to Undead Nightmare's measly 4 - 5 hours (Play Undead Nightmare for an hour and you've pretty much experienced all the game has to offer). Hell Uncharted Lost Legacy was about 10 hours & Infamous First Light is anywhere from 10 - 15 hours long, yet everyone accepts those as Standalone Games, so why does Miles Morales get singled out as the 'Over-glorified DLC'? Just seems like people simply trying (and failing) to downplay Miles Morales with no real reason for doing so.
@KundaliniRising333 - Well for starters; the story & characters are incredibly average, probably worse than the first game's. Not a fan of how it plays more like an RPG in terms of gear, weapons & crafting, it doesn't really suit this type of game IMO, and while the combat is better when dealing with human enemies, dealing with infected sometimes doesn't feel as satisfying as the first game, in the first game if you swung your weapon there was a high chance you would always hit more than one enemy if you aimed your attack correctly, but in Dying Light 2 it feels like swinging your weapon will almost always ONLY hit one enemy at a time even when they are grouped up together, unless you're wielding a two-handed weapon. I didn't even mention the bugs & glitches, mostly consisting of occasional texture pop-ins, certain prompts refusing to work (Survival Sense doesn't always activate when I want it to) and one time when speaking to a few NPC's the camera suddenly focused on a wall as they continue talking (Turning the game off and then back on fixed the issue). Also the 'Immunity' mechanic is pretty inconsistent during the daytime, going inside some buildings / houses, the immunity meter will activate and other times it doesn't, plus if light shines through a window and you're standing in the light, and the room is well lit up, then the immunity meter SHOULDN'T activate, and while the immunity meter is an interesting mechanic, they really should have ditched it, night-time and dark places are already dangerous enough without adding an insta-kill timer. Oh and I HATE the loyalty / trust system between the PK's and Survivors, I wish it worked more like Days Gone's camp trust, where you can build trust with both factions gradually by doing basic task and missions for them, the PK's faction skills mostly suck IMO, but LV4 gives you access to a Crossbow but the highest your alignment can go is LV7, and I don't want to side with the PK's for ONE notable skill, when the survivor's skills all make traversal even better and is arguably more necessary than what the PK's offer, hell I never used traps in the first game, and that's the bulk of what the PK's skills offer you.
Took a break from Dying Light 2 on Wednesday, came back to it yesterday and played it for maybe an hour, then I suddenly just lost all interest, though this tends to happen for me whenever I play a game nonstop for 4 or more days. So I'll probably take a couple more days break from Dying Light 2 to play Sifu and replay Kena. I will say this though, the more I play Dying Light 2, the more I wish it played more like the first Dying Light, they've tweaked and tinkered with things from the first game that really did not need to be messed with, and it really hampered my enjoyment of Dying Light 2, hell I'm considering replaying Dying Light & The Following DLC to get that incredible Dying Light fix I'm not getting with Dying Light 2.
I think Far Cry 6 may have been the last game I buy from Ubisoft, unless they decide to revive Rayman & Splinter Cell, and by the time that happens; Microsoft will have acquired them.
Pokemon Legends Arceus is the first Pokemon game I decided not to buy, love the Pokemon series, but Pokemon Legends Arceus just doesn't appeal to me and I'm not entirely sure why. I would say I might be willing to give the game a try once it gets a discount... but Nintendo Exclusives NEVER get discounts so I may just borrow a friend's copy.
@MightyDemon82 - Nah you don't have to have played the first one to be able to understand what's going, the story & characters weren't exactly the first game's strong point, plus Dying Light 2 has a 2-minute recap video before you even reach the starting menu that fills you in on all you need to know. I would still recommend playing Dying Light and it's Story DLC The Following. The Following DLC actually has a good story and better characters. If you're looking for a fun zombie game, you really can't go wrong with Dying Light & The Following DLC, and the gameplay alone makes for an incredibly fun experience, and more than makes up for Dying Light's so-so story & characters.
Bought it physically for PS5 AND bought it digitally for PS5 as well because I was just excited to play this game and didn't want to have to wait to play it 4 days later (Physical Copy comes via mail).
Not gonna lie, despite the fact I'm playing Dying Light 2 on PS5, it feels like I'm playing the PS4 version, doesn't seem like they gave the next-gen versions much thought if I'm being honest.
That being said I'm having a blast with Dying Light 2, the parkour system is vastly improved, the world is literally your playground, but Dying Light 2 also has a lot of flaws that I can't overlook despite my enjoyment. The story & characters so far are as average as the first game's character's and story, also not a fan of how it plays more like an RPG in terms of gear, weapons & crafting, it doesn't really suit this type of game IMO, and while the combat is better when dealing with human enemies, dealing with infected sometimes doesn't feel as satisfying as the first game, in the first game if you swung your weapon there was a good chance you would always hit more than one enemy if you aimed your attack correctly, but in Dying Light 2 it feels like swinging your weapon will almost always ONLY hit one enemy at a time even when they are grouped up together, unless you're wielding a two-handed weapon. Wait wait wait, didn't someone at Naughty Dog tweet about how they were working on 2 - 3 projects halfway through 2021? I could've sworn someone at ND said this, if so, are they simply reaffirming that they are still working on those 3 projects? Or are they nearing the end of development on those 3 games, and are hiring for 3 different projects?
While I've made my stance on Live-Service Multiplayer Games quite clear, I would love a PS All-Stars 2, but it absolutely must have a compelling offline Story Mode to go along with it.
@naruball - So you are claiming this isn't the case? It's no secret I have an affinity for Single-Player games, I've never pretended otherwise, but may I ask? How is what I said not case? There's far too many Multiplayer Games than there really should be, and as I just said to @Korgon "Single-Player Story-Driven games are taking more-and-more of a backseat to Multiplayer Games every year. There once was a time where there was a nice balance of both SP & MP games"? Feel free to disagree with me, and I'm open to a civil discussion on the topic, it could be quite the eye-opening experience for me.
@Korgon - I truly hope you are right, I won't lie; I am concerned that Single-Player Story-Driven games are taking more-and-more of a backseat to Multiplayer Games every year. There once was a time where there was a nice balance of both SP & MP games, now it just feels like there's very little love for Single-Player Story-Driven Games from all camps that aren't Indie Developers. I really do hope Single-Player Story-Driven experiences remains the core to what PlayStation is, because I dread what PlayStation will do when they get a taste of that GAAS money, we've seen how low developers can fall once they get a taste for that kind of money.
Can someone explain to me why people always claim 'Sony needs more Multiplayer Games', but never demand more Single-Player Story-Driven games from Third-Party Developers? Seems like everybody just wants the same copy-and-paste Multiplayer Game from now til the end of time. "Oh there's too many Zombie Games" they say, "Oh there's too many Third-Person Shooter Games" they say, but never do I hear "Oh there's too many Multiplayer Games" when is in fact there ARE TOO MANY Multiplayer Games to the point that demanding more is bafflingly stupid. So having too many Zombie Games or too many Third-Person Shooters is a 'bad thing', but having too many Copy-and-Paste Multiplayer Games somehow is NOT a bad thing? The Gaming Community baffles the hell out of me with it's backwards 'logic'.
Someone informed me that Sony had 40 - 44 Billion Dollars on hand for Acquisitions & Mergers, and as of recently it has suddenly dropped to 16 Billion, the implication being that Sony has spent 24 - 28 Billion in the last 6 months, and with Jim Ryan claiming more acquisitions are coming, I wouldn't be surprised if they've made 2 BIG Acquisitions plus a few more smaller acquisitions. Of course this is all speculation based on numbers I cannot confirm are even real, but I'm quite intrigued what other Studio's Sony could potentially buy since acquiring fan favorites Insomniac Games, Bluepoint & Housemarque, I mean what other studios would make as much sense as the acquisitions of the aforementioned Insomniac Games, Bluepoint & Housemarque?
Well you all kept saying "PlayStation needs more Multiplayer Games", you only have yourselves to blame for this. This is why I kept saying PlayStation doesn't need Multiplayer Games and should stick to delivering those high-quality Single-Player Story-Driven experiences, but instead of demanding Third-Party Developers to step up their Single-Player game, it was always 'PlayStation should do what every other Tom, Dick & Harry are doing and make another Copy-and-Paste Multiplayer Game in an industry oversaturated by Copy-and-Paste Multiplayer Games'. This is what ya'll wanted remember? Don't be mad now, ya'll getting what you asked for...
Let's say Sony decides to acquire Capcom & Square Enix, in my personal opinion; any and all established IP's should remain Multiplatform, and if in the future Capcom & Square Enix decide they want to create New Original IP's, those I would keep just on PlayStation & PC. Do I think Sony will acquire Capcom & Square Enix? It's hard to say, I don't think they should have to, but Sony might be feeling pressured to do so simply to ensure Microsoft doesn't swoop in and nab them. However if Sony decide they want to stick to acquiring smaller studios they already have a close working relationship with, then I would be gunning for Ember Labs (Kena: Bridge of Spirits), TiGames (F.I.S.T), Annapurna Interactive (Stray, 12 Minutes, The Pathless & Solar Ash), Polyarc (Moss), First Contact Entertainment (Firewall: Zero Hour), Other Ocean Interactive (MediEvil Remake), Slocap (Sifu), Level 5 (Ni No Kuni, Yo-Kai Watch, Dark Cloud & Professor Layton), Koei Tecmo (Dynasty Warriors, Fatal Frame, Ninja Gaiden, Nioh & Dead or Alive), these are just some examples. Again I don't think Sony should have to acquire a Publisher like Capcom or Square Enix, but they might have to just to keep them out of Microsoft's hand, last thing I want is for great studios such as these to go the way of Rare.
I'm not going to pretend like I care about this acquisition because Bungie has never made a game I've liked, but I'm open to seeing what they can accomplish under the PlayStation umbrellas. Honestly that 3.6 Billion Dollars would have been better spent on Square Enix, Capcom, Arc System Works, WB Gaming Division, Ember Labs, FromSoftware (Kadokawa) etc.
(Sigh) It's comment sections like these that really makes me believe none of you seem to know what you truly want. They amount of people bellyaching that 'Sony needs more Multiplayer Games' but also claim to want 'Those Single-Player Story-Driven Games' and now that Sony are attempting to cater more to both camps, somehow Sony are STILL in the wrong. Seriously WHY does Sony NEED Multiplayer Games? Why do they need to follow this tired trend? The Gaming Industry has too much of that copy-and-paste Multiplayer crap already. Instead of expecting Sony to get onboard with the beaten-to-death Multiplayer train that plagues this industry, people should be demanding that Developers be making more Single-Player Story-Driven Experiences, but no one does. PlayStation's BIGGEST strength is currently the Gaming Industry's BIGGEST weakness; Single-Player Story-Driven Games, very few Developers are actively trying to keep Single-Player Story-Driven games alive. Every year the amount of quality Single-Player Story-Driven games decreases, because Developers are taking the easy route and making just another boring, effortless, uninspired, unoriginal, cheaply-made Copy-and-Paste Multiplayer Games, oh yeah really pushing the industry forward by doing the exact same thing as every other Tom, Dick & Harry..
I knew going into Resident Evil 7 that it was going to be a great game, but I never expected to play it and get emotionally invested, as I did with the Baker Family, I never expected to care for the crazy family that's been out to get me the entire game, but that one scene where Ethan speaks to regular Jack Baker through the mold... truly powerful stuff right there, as Ethan said at the end of the game; the Bakers were just as much victims as he and Mia were, and I just love the whole exchange between Ethan & Jack, and despite everything Eveline did to his family, Jack still sympathized with her, and after the hell she put the Bakers through, I wanted to see it through to end, and fulfil Jack's final request.
Jack Baker: Listen, the girl just wants a family of her own. She's the key, alright? You find her and you stop her. Ethan free my family... please.
Only Resident Evil game that got me damn near close to crying
@AnthonyStark86 - A drunk Harry Potter you say? Hagrid: Harry Potter yer aim is so off yer couldn't be hitting the broad side of a moving train! Harry: SHOVE OFF HAGRID YA FAT OAF OR I'LL SET YA BLODDY BEARD ON FIRE!!!
Replaying through God of War (Nearing the end now) first time on PS5 after watching some GOW Ragnarok breakdown and prediction videos, then I might replay Days Gone for the first time on PS5 as well, I also wanna replay through Donkey Kong Country 2 via Switch Online and I might give Banjo Kazooie a go also via Switch Online... really wish I could just buy both games and download them to my Switch instead.
Glad to hear it as I'm planning on buying another PS4 sometime soon so that I always have a backup PS4 at the ready, despite having a PS5 I still find myself using my PS4 just as much, so having a spare PS4 just makes sense to me.
Am I the only person who doesn't give a damn about a game's length, I play games for the experience factor and the enjoyment factor. A lot of games back in the day could be completed in a day, but I replayed them over and over again, and to this day I STILL replay most of my games, to me at least; it's not how long a game is, but how much time you're willing to invest in a game because you enjoyed your experience with a game, and if I have the urge to go back and replay games even if I've replayed a game more than 10 times, then does the length of a game really and truly matter? For me; it does not.
The only time length becomes an issue for me is if it's too long to the point it's starting to overstay it's welcome; Persona 5 Royal is a great example, the length for the base version of Persona 5 was just right, because it ended at just the right time as when I was starting to get ready to move onto another game, but Persona 5 Royal just felt like a drag and stretched the length of the game unnecessarily. Dragon Quest XI S Definitive Edition did something similar to Persona 5 Royal, only at the midway point, but I think it was executed better here because it gives some much needed clarity to what happened to the other characters we've grown fond of through the journey after Mordegon seemingly won and the Protagonist is seemingly dead.
Been looking forward to this, it gave me the same vibes as that once Stadia Exclusive 'Gylt', wonder if it might still come to Consoles & PC at some point?
I generally don't care for First-Person Shooters, but there was always something special about the Resistance series that managed to grab and hold my attention, but even to this day I still don't know what is, I just love the Resistance series, and I'm dying for it to make a comeback. Let's get #RetributionForResistance trending on PlayStation', Bend Studios & Insomniac Game's Twitter!
I literally just said this on the Rejected Days Gone 2 article you guys just did: An Open World Resistance sounds incredible, and if Insomniac Games does not want to continue the series (for now), then I think Bend Studio would have been a great choice after they did quite a good job with Resistance Retribution on the PSP. Not only that but they could have used the Days Gone world they created and just incorporate a lot of that Resistance design to it.
I'm really annoyed that the higher-ups at Bend didn't even allow the pitch for Days Gone 2 to reach Sony, but I'm just as annoyed that Sony did not allow Bend to make an Open World Resistance game, because an Open World Resistance sounds incredible, and if Insomniac Games does not want to continue the series (for now), then I think Bend Studio would have been a great choice after they did quite a good job with Resistance Retribution on the PSP. Not only that but they could have used the Days Gone world they created and just incorporate a lot of that Resistance design to it.
This is probably for the best, many of the folks at Firesprite have experience with the Wipeout series, combined with the darker tones from working on The Persistence, I'm not saying Lucid Games was a bad choice to make a Twisted Metal Reboot (I was all for it), but combining Firesprite's experience with Wipeout & The Persistence probably made a bit more sense to Sony.
I really hope those GAaS rumors are false because I really want a quality Single-Player Campaign to go along with a kickass Multiplayer Mode, if it just ends up being a GAaS Multiplayer-Only Game, I'll just end up skipping it.
Now I'm hearing news that CD Projekt Red approached Sony / PlayStation about acquiring the Days Gone IP, and Sony / PlayStation outright refused to sell the IP. No way Sony / PlayStation don't have plans for Days Gone at some point, most likely after whatever Bend Studio's newest IP is.
I don't care how long this game is, this is a zombie game, my favorite types of games, Dying Light 2 is the type of game I know I'll find myself replaying on a yearly basis, just like I already do with the first Dying Light, Days Gone & The Last of Us. February just can't come soon enough!
@Col_McCafferty - "I don't think it should have been released when it was and it needed a few months to help iron out the kinks. I guess this didn't make sense to Sony" - On David Jaffe's podcast with John Garvin & Jeff Ross, they said that they knew they were releasing Days Gone in a rough state and said that; if they had approached Sony about delaying Days Gone one more time for further polish, they said that Sony more than likely WOULD have allowed it BUT John Garvin & Jeff Ross chose not to.

Elden Ring and Spider-Man Miles Morales (PS5)
Re: Elden Ring (PS5) - Likely Another FromSoftware Great
Was gonna wait for my physical copy to arrive on Monday before playing Elden Ring, but after watching just 2 reviews for this game, I won't be able to wait that long, so I'm just going to buy it digitally in a couple hours and start playing it the moment the clock strikes midnight, just as I did for Days Gone & Dying Light 2.
Re: In the UK, 70% of Boxed Horizon Forbidden West Buyers Paid More Than They Needed To

Re: Horizon Forbidden West Is Getting Review Bombed on PS5, PS4 for No Reason
Another day, another highly anticipated PS Game getting review-bombed for either asinine reasons or no reasons at all... BIG SHOCKER
Re: God of War Ragnarok PS5, PS4 Still Pegged to Release This Year
Even if God of War Ragnarok doesn't release until 2023, I think we as PlayStation fans have been plenty spoiled so far with the likes of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, Sifu, Horizon Forbidden West & Gran Turismo 7 just around the corner, then we have Forspoken, Ghostwire Tokyo, Salt & Sacrifice, Little Devil Inside, Stray & FF16?
Re: PlayStation's Marketing Department Is Having the Time of Its Life Right Now
Sucks that I live 8-10 hours away from Sydney, I would love to get a picture riding the Clawstrider with the caption "Going for a ride to the Forbidden West".
I'm incredibly envious of you right now @Bondi_Surfer
Re: PlayStation's Marketing Department Is Having the Time of Its Life Right Now
I can see the Australian Headlines now 'Dino Crisis Down Under'
Re: The Last of Us' TV Show Will Not Air This Year
I figured Late 2022 was likely, bit bummed out by this news as I'm really looking forward to this, but oh well I can wait til 2023, hopefully I'm still alive by then LOL.
Re: Here's That PlayStation Productions Ident in Direct Feed Quality
Re: Here's That PlayStation Productions Ident in Direct Feed Quality
PlayStation All-Stars 2 Story Mode where Sackboy & Astro meet, but instead of becoming rivals, quickly become the best of friends.
Sackboy & Astro hug to affirm lifelong friendship (Heart melts)
Re: Here's That PlayStation Productions Ident in Direct Feed Quality
The more I see stuff like this the more I want a PlayStation All-Stars 2, PlayStation really does need a fighting game franchise to call their own, it could even be a collaborative effort between Bluepoint, Insomniac, Santa Monica Studios, Team Asobi & XDev.
Re: Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales Is Now Sony's Third Best-Selling Game in the US
Ironic how so many people gave Miles Morales so much crap for being 'Over-glorified DLC' yet I hear next to no criticism being given toward Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare, some even claim it's the 'Greatest DLC Ever Made' yet it can be finished in just 2 hours, 4 - 5 hours if you're going for 100% completion.
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Dying Light 2?
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Dying Light 2?
Re: The Wolf Among Us 2 Shows Its Fangs on PS5, PS4 in 2023
Curious who the two fables were inside the hotel that Bigby came to arrest, was that Scarecrow & Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz?
Re: So, Beyond Good & Evil 2 Is Probably Never Happening
I think Far Cry 6 may have been the last game I buy from Ubisoft, unless they decide to revive Rayman & Splinter Cell, and by the time that happens; Microsoft will have acquired them.
Re: UK Sales Charts: Dying Light 2 Sells Best on PS5, But Misses Top Spot
Pokemon Legends Arceus is the first Pokemon game I decided not to buy, love the Pokemon series, but Pokemon Legends Arceus just doesn't appeal to me and I'm not entirely sure why. I would say I might be willing to give the game a try once it gets a discount... but Nintendo Exclusives NEVER get discounts so I may just borrow a friend's copy.
Re: Poll: Did You Buy Dying Light 2: Stay Human for PS5, PS4?
Re: Poll: Did You Buy Dying Light 2: Stay Human for PS5, PS4?
Re: The Last of Us Dev Naughty Dog Hiring for Three PS5, PS4 Games
Re: Talking Point: What PS5, PS4 Live Service Games from Sony Do You Want?
While I've made my stance on Live-Service Multiplayer Games quite clear, I would love a PS All-Stars 2, but it absolutely must have a compelling offline Story Mode to go along with it.
Re: Sony Plans to Launch 10 PS5, PS4 Live Service Games by March 2026
@naruball - So you are claiming this isn't the case? It's no secret I have an affinity for Single-Player games, I've never pretended otherwise, but may I ask? How is what I said not case? There's far too many Multiplayer Games than there really should be, and as I just said to @Korgon "Single-Player Story-Driven games are taking more-and-more of a backseat to Multiplayer Games every year. There once was a time where there was a nice balance of both SP & MP games"?
Feel free to disagree with me, and I'm open to a civil discussion on the topic, it could be quite the eye-opening experience for me.
Re: Sony Plans to Launch 10 PS5, PS4 Live Service Games by March 2026
Re: Sony Plans to Launch 10 PS5, PS4 Live Service Games by March 2026
Re: Geoff Keighley Hints at More Gaming Acquisitions in 2022
Someone informed me that Sony had 40 - 44 Billion Dollars on hand for Acquisitions & Mergers, and as of recently it has suddenly dropped to 16 Billion, the implication being that Sony has spent 24 - 28 Billion in the last 6 months, and with Jim Ryan claiming more acquisitions are coming, I wouldn't be surprised if they've made 2 BIG Acquisitions plus a few more smaller acquisitions.
Re: Discord's PlayStation Functionality Is Official, and It's Rolling Out Now
Okay that's all well and good but where can I preorder t-shirt with Captain Astro's cute little mug plastered on it?
Re: PlayStation Studios Is Developing 'Several' Live Service Games
Re: PlayStation Boss Jim Ryan Says You Should Expect More Acquisitions
Re: Sony Buys Ex-Halo, Destiny Developer Bungie for $3.6 Billion
I'm not going to pretend like I care about this acquisition because Bungie has never made a game I've liked, but I'm open to seeing what they can accomplish under the PlayStation umbrellas.
Honestly that 3.6 Billion Dollars would have been better spent on Square Enix, Capcom, Arc System Works, WB Gaming Division, Ember Labs, FromSoftware (Kadokawa) etc.
Re: Sony Team London Studio Bolstering Ranks for Online PS5 Game
Re: Capcom's Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Is Now Five Years Old
I knew going into Resident Evil 7 that it was going to be a great game, but I never expected to play it and get emotionally invested, as I did with the Baker Family, I never expected to care for the crazy family that's been out to get me the entire game, but that one scene where Ethan speaks to regular Jack Baker through the mold... truly powerful stuff right there, as Ethan said at the end of the game; the Bakers were just as much victims as he and Mia were, and I just love the whole exchange between Ethan & Jack, and despite everything Eveline did to his family, Jack still sympathized with her, and after the hell she put the Bakers through, I wanted to see it through to end, and fulfil Jack's final request.
Jack Baker: Listen, the girl just wants a family of her own. She's the key, alright? You find her and you stop her. Ethan free my family... please.
Only Resident Evil game that got me damn near close to crying
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 410
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 410
Re: Sony Is Not Making More PS4s to Make Up for PS5 Stock Shortfall
Glad to hear it as I'm planning on buying another PS4 sometime soon so that I always have a backup PS4 at the ready, despite having a PS5 I still find myself using my PS4 just as much, so having a spare PS4 just makes sense to me.
Re: PUBG: Battlegrounds Is Now Available for Free on PS4
I hate PUBG with a passion, but I do like watching PUBG Salty Deaths & Funny Voice Chat videos on YouTube.
Re: Poll: How Long Should Games Be?
Re: Top-Down Horror Game In Nightmare Dated for 29th March on PS5, PS4
Been looking forward to this, it gave me the same vibes as that once Stadia Exclusive 'Gylt', wonder if it might still come to Consoles & PC at some point?
Re: Resistance's Pitched Open World Reboot Could Have Been a Good Time
I generally don't care for First-Person Shooters, but there was always something special about the Resistance series that managed to grab and hold my attention, but even to this day I still don't know what is, I just love the Resistance series, and I'm dying for it to make a comeback.
Let's get #RetributionForResistance trending on PlayStation', Bend Studios & Insomniac Game's Twitter!
Re: Resistance's Pitched Open World Reboot Could Have Been a Good Time
I literally just said this on the Rejected Days Gone 2 article you guys just did: An Open World Resistance sounds incredible, and if Insomniac Games does not want to continue the series (for now), then I think Bend Studio would have been a great choice after they did quite a good job with Resistance Retribution on the PSP.
Not only that but they could have used the Days Gone world they created and just incorporate a lot of that Resistance design to it.
Re: Rejected Days Gone Sequel Would Have Swimming, Better Animals
I'm really annoyed that the higher-ups at Bend didn't even allow the pitch for Days Gone 2 to reach Sony, but I'm just as annoyed that Sony did not allow Bend to make an Open World Resistance game, because an Open World Resistance sounds incredible, and if Insomniac Games does not want to continue the series (for now), then I think Bend Studio would have been a great choice after they did quite a good job with Resistance Retribution on the PSP.
Not only that but they could have used the Days Gone world they created and just incorporate a lot of that Resistance design to it.
Re: Twisted Metal PS5 Reboot Studio Swapped Mid-Development
Re: Days Gone's Reported 8 Million Sales Not Necessarily Accurate
Now I'm hearing news that CD Projekt Red approached Sony / PlayStation about acquiring the Days Gone IP, and Sony / PlayStation outright refused to sell the IP. No way Sony / PlayStation don't have plans for Days Gone at some point, most likely after whatever Bend Studio's newest IP is.
Re: Dying Light 2 Takes 500 Hours to 'Fully Complete', Official Twitter Has to Clarify
I don't care how long this game is, this is a zombie game, my favorite types of games, Dying Light 2 is the type of game I know I'll find myself replaying on a yearly basis, just like I already do with the first Dying Light, Days Gone & The Last of Us.
February just can't come soon enough!
Re: Days Gone's Reported 8 Million Sales Not Necessarily Accurate
@Col_McCafferty - "I don't think it should have been released when it was and it needed a few months to help iron out the kinks. I guess this didn't make sense to Sony" - On David Jaffe's podcast with John Garvin & Jeff Ross, they said that they knew they were releasing Days Gone in a rough state and said that; if they had approached Sony about delaying Days Gone one more time for further polish, they said that Sony more than likely WOULD have allowed it BUT John Garvin & Jeff Ross chose not to.
