Re: Peerless RPG Baldur's Gate 3 Has More Players Now Than at Launch

Northern_munkey

@GymratAmarillo I've often pondered why steam sales and concurrent players blah, blah, blah are relevant to PlayStation gamers. It would be of interest if I was a PC gamer but I'm not anymore and don't plan to be again. I suppose other ps5 related news must be thin on the ground and somebody has to produce something to fill that space.

Re: Helldivers 2 Dev Swears It Doesn't Playtest New Features in Live Games

"Are we alone in thinking that takes away some of the game's magic" Yes you are. Awesome game and I've enjoyed myself immensely with the time I've spent playing it thus far. Even if the devs did test things in a live scenario I wouldn't care as the game is one of those rare games where it dosnt matter if you are playing with friends or randoms because the banter and communication is so good mostly, that it would add to one of those WTF? moments and just make that session more memorable. At a very personal dark time in my life there were a few pushsquare subbers that I had the privilege of playing hd2 with and the distraction they provided me was and will forever be appreciated. This is how live service games should be done.

Re: Rumour: Dragon's Dogma 2 Datamine Reveals Potential Multiplayer Plans

Northern_munkey

@Mikey856 (sarcasm alert!) No it dosnt don't lie. It looks like crap and plays like crap. It's impossible to play because it's so hideously broken and dated. The ps5 pros ancient cpu just can't cope so stop telling people what a great game it is ffs 🤣. Seriously though I can't decide between this and that other unplayable mess of a game wukong as my goty contenders. I've enjoyed both immensely and I'm chuffed you are enjoying it on your ps5 Pro.. I'll have to get one as soon as Xmas is done and dusted.

Re: Rumour: FromSoftware Classic Getting the Remaster Treatment

Northern_munkey

@Blacksmith1985 I'm aware of that but it was not a significant improvement over when it first released. I bought DS2 on the pc when it launched and then I bought the remaster on the ps4 and other than the included dlc and very minor cosmetic changes there was hardly any difference. A full remaster or remake would be nice.

Re: Disgruntled PS5 Pro Owners Campaign to Disable Support After Slew of Shoddy Patches

Northern_munkey

Early days yet. I'm reading a lot more positive comments about the ps5 Pro than negatives. My mate is currently playing gt7 on his and he says it's damn nice and he is still bringing it round to my house to use my steering wheel on it. Buddy at work has bought one and he's happy as a pig in ***** with it. I think these issues are completely down to the devs not getting to grips with the new machine yet and hopefully by the time I get mine they will get better. So long as gt7 is better on it I'll be happy and I'm hoping EA sports wrc gets a pro upgrade too.

Re: Konami Quiet as PS5 Pro Players Report Issues with Silent Hill 2

Northern_munkey

@Matroska thankyou for the tech lesson. I couldn't be bothered with one of those long winded DF type explanations and thought to myself that the people who frequent the comments sections would catch my drift without one. PCs can be very complicated compared to consoles but there is (I'll get this in first before I'm gaslighted) older tech wrapped up in new paint in the ps5 pro therefore it may take a few patches to iron things out as we have seen through the ps3,ps4,ps4 pro,ps5 and now the ps5 Pro eras..it won't stop there either.

Re: Konami Quiet as PS5 Pro Players Report Issues with Silent Hill 2

Northern_munkey

@Loamy "are you Pro anything? Wait, I can think of a couple likelihoods 🤔." Ooof careful sir..When new pc tech gets released as in gpus, cpus etc there are usually patches that follow because some games refuse to play nice and I see the ps5 Pro as being no different. Teething problems will always be an issue now and it's no big deal for the pc gamers so it should not be a big deal for console gamers unless people think that console gamers are somehow cut from a different cloth.

Re: Review: PS5 Pro - An Impressive Yet Inconsistent Upgrade

Northern_munkey

"whereas Hexwork’s Lords of the Fallen, a game that ran poorly on base PS5, is now running upscaled 4K at a rock solid 60fps. Similarly Ubisoft’s The Crew Motorfest marries the two base PS5 modes for a singular Pro mode, which combines 4K and 60fps — a far cry from the muddy 1080p of the base version." First off lords of the fallen was a bit janky at launch but was certainly very, very playable and hexworks support of the game was very good too. Motorfest looks perfectly fine on the base ps5 and certainly does not look muddy at all...its quite sharp really. I wish pushsquare would stop pushing these fallacies when trying to highlight things.

Re: PS5 Pro Enhanced, PS Store Situation Devolves into Confusing Mess

Northern_munkey

@Oz_Who_Dat_Dare yeah the user interface has always been a bit of an oddity to say the least. Whenever I put ps4 games in the drive that have been upgraded to the ps5 version (cyberpunk) it ques the ps4 version but when I actually start the ps5 version it does absolutely nothing and will not continue to download the ps4 version. It's a slight annoyance and should have been rectified straight away..

Re: LEGO Horizon Adventures Sets Odd Precedent, Lacking PS5 Pro Support

Northern_munkey

@LowDefAl no I don't but I really don't think there was ever any issues about games not having a pro support for the ps4..I don't know maybe we were all to busy enjoying our games no matter if they were pro supported or not? Maybe expectations are that every game has to have that support or its just not on. I see your point and I'm not saying you are wrong nor do I want to appear as being argumentative. I sometimes think that non issues such as this are not really that important because it dosnt stop the base game from playing perfectly well. Are pushsquare going to highlight every game from now on for not having pro support or is it only going to name the big, juicy releases?
