Re: Sony Sounds Shook by Xbox's Activision Buyout, Says Call of Duty Has No Rival

I bought my ps4/5 for the exclusives...
..but I'm sure CoD had its fair share of influence, when it came to console purchases, "im getting a ps with CoD. Cool, me too", etc. Ps usually had the more feature rich version of CoD, while other platforms had to wait for exclusivity to end, sometimes a year long.
I'm sure ms will keep CoD multiplat, but maybe its optimized better for the xbs' or exclusive content on xb, etc.

Re: Nearly 80% of All PS5, PS4 Games Are Bought Digitally

Like some have stated sales may be a reason behind this, maybe that some games aren't available physically at launch(til a later date), maybe the godawful tactic of selling high end special editions with no game in box(?!), just a code. Also, long gone are the halcyon days of just popping in a disc/cart and playing. There are day one patches, updates, etc.

Re: Soapbox: I'm Sorry, But Your Cute Cat Game Isn't That Great

There are two view points of this game. One, it's alright. Not great, not bad, just good. And the other is "you're a moron, this game is great". Good to see the fanboys staying even keeled with opinions, this morning.

Still gonna try it out, when I get home. It's apart of extra/premium/plus/unleaded which ever category, might as well.

@NEStalgia I dunno about the success and whatnot, but I'm enjoying it. It has a nice blend of exploration and adventuring. Usually the game is hard because of the players own devices. Margit too hard? Did you come straight here from the church, without exploring the in between? Because that would help with items, levels, tactics, etc.
But I digress, not here to debate whether a game is good for one individual or another. Just wanted to know, that's all.

Re: PS Stars' Digital Collectibles Are 'Definitely Not' NFTs, Sony Stresses

@Rafie I hope so. With the xbox rewards program, I was able to get a massive discount on the razer turret($250 originally, after sales and rewards, $150 after fees), I've gotten tina tiny's wonderland and insurgency both from the rewards program($100 at time of redemption), now I'm on the verge of redeeming enough points to buy chernobylite($30).

Re: Sony Removing Some Purchased Films, Movies from Users' Accounts

This sucks butt. At least with gamepass/ps+/netflix/hulu we've known upfront, there would be a rotation of content, etc. But with store fronts xb/ps/amazon/googleplay there was no mention of things being "longterm rentals". I believe refunds should be in order, if not, I can see class action lawsuits and precedents being set.

Re: Best Open World Games on PS5

PhhhCough

I've come to realize, there are a few, if any, truly open-world or sandbox games. Even games like gta v or fable, give you a starting point, and checkpoints in between to progress the story and finally to a conclusion that is predetermined for us. Its linearity, with wide open spaces. Gta v, for example, could you beat the singleplayer game without ever switching characters?
Will there ever be a game, with thousands of possible endings, all achieved through sheer randomness?
