I just wanted a "purge mode" for gta v. The entire populace, rioting, with weapons was allowed with codes on the older games, but not iv or v.

Also, maybe a futuristic city for the next one. An accessible space station/port, interplanetary travel. I know, I'm in the minority here, but after v, another sunsoaked city with a night life just doesn't do it for me.

This is a great list and very informative. The one thing that irks me is the list is in alphabetical order, yet god of war is before ghost of tsushima.

Borderlands was a revelation.
Borderlands 2 was more of what we loved.
Borderlands 3? For me, at least, the main antagonists weren't for me. "Cringe" is what the young people say. The guns and shooting were fun.
Hopefully this one adds a breath of fresh air to a great series, that's starting to feel stagnant(to me).

Can't wait. Q2 preorder. 256GB should be enough for 3, maybe 4 high quality games or a number of older games or less demanding games. I hear the ssd is removable and upgradable. But at your own risk.

Is this because of trying to get the game working across generations? Would we have been better off with a perfectly optimized ps4/xbo game, with next-gen offerings down the line? Or if it was a ps5/xbsx generation exclusive?

@TheRedComet I remember paying $71+(after taxes) for super contra: alien wars on snes. Not easy as a child. That was five lawns and a birthday, back then.

Of the 70%, I'm sure some are just supporting a great dev team, some are probably parents(or others) buying a gift and doesn't know better, and some probably just want to see the world burn. Regardless, not my money, spend it however you'd like.

@GamerDad66 as a ps5 owner, trust me when I say, y'all can wait. Especially with hfw, gow rag, gt and others are releasing on the ps4 still. The "exclusives" are a remake(DeS), a sequel(r&c) and a niche game(returnal), and if you're not interested in either, definitely no point.

Thus far, this gen has been underwhelming. Remakes and smart delivery, everywhere. Even the new gen games are just pretty versions of older games. Halo, forza horizon 5, demon's souls, ratchet and clank. It feels like ps4 super pro and xbox series x-tra.

Gaas is something people wanted for their sports games. Pay a one time fee, $30, then pay for yearly updates to a roster, stadiums, playbooks, etc($10-15). The sports devs didn't even consider it. While the games we didn't want as a service, are becoming services.

@ShogunRok are there any differences between the ps4 and ps5 versions? Besides the graphical, load times, dualsense differences.

Now I've seen everything. At first, it was funny when people would argue over plastic boxes, xb or ps. Then it got weird, when people started arguing over, semantics, "you're ps? Disc or disc less?" Now people are arguing others for deciding to save money?

$1.6B spread amongst the 1000 employees(for sake of arguement), that's $1.6 million each, to stay on board. But for how long, what will they do, will there be freedom to do what they want, etc.

Will they be free, will they be good, more importantly, will they affect the GoWs or GoTsushis(the great solo games), etc. If the answers are yes, yes, no, then there is no problem, bring'em on!

Online only games, seem no different than a cloud game. You pay full price for a product, that's at the whim of the publisher. Unless an offline mode is patched in.

Instead if another studio, how about a firmware update to allow 1440p on the ps5.

The thing with acquisitions is you're "kind of" getting the talent, but mostly what you're paying for is the IPs and the tech behind the scenes. Talents leave and form their own studios, a lot, but the IPs and proprietary tech stays.

@TheCollector316 you know that ms wasnt the first and only suitor for actiblizz, right? Would we be okay if google, facebook, amazon or tencent bought actiblizz or zenimax? Think of all those games being tied to a streaming service only or having to have a facebook account to play these games. Just saying, ms is an evil we know.
