Re: Red Dead Online Not Abandoned, Take-Two Boss Says He's 'Heard the Frustration'

PhhhCough

I haven't played RDR2 online, but if it's similar to RDR1 online, then I don't know what they could add, honestly. It's the wide open, wild west. And because of the era, tech will be limited. So what, new horses? Wagons? Maybe model T, depending on the time, etc. Settlements and ranches, maybe? New weapons? I guess new rifles, revolvers and shotguns from the time period. New missions, maybe a new area to explore, QoL improvements, etc, are all welcomed. But there is only so much you can do and add to a western online world.

Re: Konami Just Had Its Most Profitable Year Ever

PhhhCough

It seems like a lot of companies are looking for that "cash cow". That one game that nets them hundreds of millions a year, but for every forknife, apex, warzone, destiny, ffxiv, etc., we have battleborn, hyperscape, babylons fall, avengers, etc. I hope that search doesn't hinder game development, on the other side.

Re: Talking Point: Does Sony Need a Big Summer Showcase?

PhhhCough

Probably something, but just forget the delayed games. Also before the summer, before the new tiers drop, right? Are they gonna hold everything back til the day of release, regarding the new sub?

As for the summer and games, etc., other than GoW Rag, what else is there for first party games? Third party games, whether exclusive or not, would be nice.

Re: PS4 Games That Need a PS5 Patch

PhhhCough

I feel that a bloodborne update would interfere with ps plans for a ps5 bloodborne remake, ala demon's souls. Why boost the framerate and resolution, for free, when you can charge $69.99 for it.

Re: Feature: What's Next for PS5, PS4?

PhhhCough

I think the demo/trials is a great idea, for users, that ps needs to better explain and implement. For all users, for starters. Second, does progress carry over? Third, are demo/trials of ALL games sold on the ps store($34+)?

Also, could forcing devs to make a demo/trial make some devs hesitant to publish on sony? Free couple of hours of overwatch 2 could be enough to not buy the game. The first few hours might have spoilers, etc.

Re: Sony Dumps Funds into Live Service Software Firm

PhhhCough

Gaas is a good idea, technically. Make a great game, add to it consistently. Apex, warframe, destiny, lol, dota, etc, are great examples. The main point, in a lot of gaas' is the f2p aspect. If Sony sells a game at the full $70 price, don't expect a lot of people to buy AND add more. And if it's garbage, don't bother. Anthem, godfall, babylons fall, avengers are great examples.

Makes me wonder if any of the "ten forknife-esque games" will be of existing ps-exclusives. A bloodborne gaas with a elden ring-like open world. Is this why we haven't seen a factions game? They're turning it into a gaas?

Re: Pay for PS5, PS4 Platinum Trophies Is Rampant on PS Store Right Now

PhhhCough

Trophies/achievements are like the bells and whistles of the casino world. Nothing more than noises to entice us to play more. And bragging rights, I guess. "I platinumed bloodborne and you didnt, noob." It's not like we get a discount or gift certificate for reaching a milestone in trophies/achievements.

But on the flip side, whatever gets people, the most enjoyment out of their purchase. Trophies/achievements don't hurt nor bother me, so let others gather them up.

Re: Rumour: PS Plus Premium's PS1, PS2, PSP Games Have Started to Leak

PhhhCough

I'm wondering if some games' controls will be updated, etc. Playing syphon filter, recently, forgot about the controls. L2/R2 is strafe, L1 is ads(sort of), R1 is lock-on, square is shoot, no jump. Left and right on the d-pad rotates character. Same with manhunt, right stick doesnt fully rotate the camera around. And with timesplitters and goldeneye(64), aiming was kind of a finicky thing, compared to modern shooters.

Re: Microsoft Bigwig Implies PS5 Is Losing Marketshare to Xbox

PhhhCough

@naruball "..Competition is what led MS to acquire all those publishers with ps (and switch) owners being unable to play many future installments in popular franchises."

Let's be honest, if MS didnt acquire zenimax and actiblizz, google, amazon or tencent would've. I'd rather those games and companies stay with a decent console maker, at least. And ps kinda started it all with paid timed exclusives. Also, I've heard from many here, that they "couldn't care less about Bethesda's buggy games". And it's not like the switch was clamoring for more CoD games. And yes competition is good for consumers, that's how we got a gamepass equivalent on ps.

Re: First Tiny Tina's Wonderlands DLC Out Tomorrow

PhhhCough

I'm enjoying my time with tiny Tina's. As a spellcaster, the spells are awesome and bring something different to a, somewhat, stale gameplay. The d&d-esque humor is a nice change from the social media buffoonery of bl3. I'll wait til I finish the base game, if I feel an itch I might get the season pass when it's cheaper.

Re: GTA Online Weekly Update: 14th April, 2022

PhhhCough

Gta iv released in 2008, red dead redemption in 2010, that was a quick turnaround for two great games.
Gta v in 2013 and rdr 2 in 2018. Considering how great both those games are, and how we probably want a bigger and better gta vi, some more development time is needed, with patience. Gta vi should be next year some time, hopefully. Barring any unseen circumstances. Besides, if gta vi released this year, I can imagine it being multiplat. As in base ps4/xbo AND ps5/xbsx.
