Will there be a tlou part 2 remake, made in tlou3 engine, towards the end of the ps5 era or a launch ps6 title? Asking for a friend.

I got the ps4 copy, recently. I put I into my ps5, picked the ps5 version and started downloading. But now everytime I put in the disc, etc, it always has the ps4 version "paused"/queued up. Is there a way to get rid of this? Besides getting the ps5 disc version to begin with.

I hope sony mobile and gaas games are some bangers, because we all know every game not as successful as destiny/forknife/apex/etc., tends to be written off and forgotten. And we dont need 10+ gaas to be wasting our time, bandwidth, etc.

I still feel the show would benefit from an ensemble style anthology.

Why is it when movies or shows, try to adapt a game, they always seem to throw in their own character. A very generic one, at that. From what I can remember, alice from the resident evil movies, cole in mortal kombat, "john doe" in twisted metal, now. Is it really so hard to adhere to the source material? Considering the rich backstories and characters, already, do we really need to focus on "john doe"?

Achievements/trophies do nothing for me. I play for the game, once the credits roll, I move on. Unless there is replayability. But I don't look at the lists and try to meet the requirements for the achievements/trophies.

Okay, I lied. I go for the achievements when there are the monthly/weekly rewards.

Maybe it's the "plateau" of gaming, when rehashed games are being pumped out, and the next "big thing" is resolution or framerate, makes me wonder, "is that it?"

@eshy76 ok, "record profits" might be a bit of a stretch, but the last fiscal year for sony saw them bring in $300million+ in profits. It might not be "record profits" but it isnt chump change, either.

Their "operating profits" fell 37%, meaning they lowered their expectations. Instead of expecting $100B in revenue(example), they adjusted it by 37%. Not really a loss(cause you cant lose, what you dont have), just adjusting expectations, etc. And sony blamed it on poor software sales, lack of releases(Reuters 29th of july), etc, not inflation and the prices of materials.

Sony: because of development costs, we have to raise our prices on games!
Sony: because of inflation and the high prices of commodities, we have to raise our prices in consoles!
Us: uhhhhh, what about your record profits, recently?

With this and the xbox elite controllers, who are these controllers geared towards? I presume pro fighting gamers would use arcade sticks, racers would use steering rigs, casuals have the stock controllers. Is this for the pro fps segment? Platformers? Tech enthusiasts?

Is this for everyone or just the top tier of ps+?

A pc and switch port of gravity rush 1/2 would generate money and interest.

Too many good games coming, to mess with mediocrity. Too many good old games, to mess with this in a portable fashion, either.

Maybe this is why sony bought nixxes, etc. So they wouldnt have to rely on outside devs/pubs for pc releases. Bad contract negotiators? Maybe. Not much you can do against a billion dollar juggernaut like the MLB, with whom sony is enjoying a very successful partnership with. But 505 games? I dont know how or when or where sony lost the rights for a pc release, but there it is.

Sony's masterplan of doing away with streaming and retro games, like they did with accolades, is working. Fill them, or not, with poor selections. Then say "no one plays them".

The reason "easy trophy" games exist is there's a market for them. Someones, somewhere are buying them up. As for the store and its curation, don't people know what they want before shopping? Or are they "virtually" walking up and down the aisles looking at stuff, wondering what to buy? If it's the latter, close the store and play some games, dammit.

Eneba has(had?) Spiderman remastered steam key for pc, with code SPIDEY7, for $45.

Considering I have gamepass, I'm disappointed. A lot of games on there, already, other than trials of mana. Don't get me wrong, if you're new to the ps ecosystem, then ps+ extra is a great deal. But since I've been here a while, have most of the exclusives and gamepass, I don't think I'll be renewing my sub.

Porting to pc is, and always will be, about the money, not the fans. A simultaneous release on ps5 and pc isn't going to happen either, because that would eat into profits. A year or two down the line release, would allow the consumer to double dip, "buy the ps5 version, now, then the definitive pc version, later". Its a smart move by sony.

Port gravity rush series to the switch and steamdeck, and see it get new life. Especially with the controls both those handhelds provide.

@IonMagi well, you can get spiderman miles morales ultimate edition, which has spiderman remastered, for the ps5 $49. Which is cheaper than pc and you get two games. Or you can buy a used spiderman miles morales, then go into the ingame store and purchase spiderman remastered for $20, which comes out to $45 for two games. So there's that.
PC or console, one isnt technically better than the other. It's all about preference.

@LiamCroft I thought the only difference between extra and premium, would be the streaming retro games. But there is a difference in downloadable libraries, as well?

...between the two tiers, that allow for downloadable games(extra crispy and original), they both don't get the same games? The remasters of 3, 4, and 5 are for PS Plus Premium only. Yakuza 6 is PS Plus Extra.

Selling the ps5, bundled with hfw, seems like hfw may be struggling a bit. My history with bundles usually looks like "a product you want, bundled with a product you don't". I'll find out soon enough, my copy of hfw should be here soon.

Huh, the more I see of this game, the less enthused I am. Maybe it's one of those "you gotta experience it" kind of games. If so, I'll experience it, on sale.

This game has got me intrigued. It looks like a blend of generation zero and earth defense force. Hopefully there is a trial/demo.

I contributed to the hfw resurgence...kind of. Got a used copy for $36.

I still have my 360 w/MvC2 hooked up, for the random matches, whenever people come over. Crazy to think how great the ps3/360 era was at the arcade games.

They are chasing a dying trend. If anything, they should rework the game and name to Cat Island. Cats are in, zombies are out.

I mean they reuse old assets for new games, makes sense they would outright plagiarize, as well.

@Tharsman I had an issue with GoTsushi dlc not working for me, because I had a different region base game, than I was in. I contacted sony, via chat, and they refunded me(no hassle) quickly too. I dont know if that is par for the course or not, happened a few months back.
