Re: PS Plus Retail Cards Could Potentially Be Discontinued

PhhhCough

@Ryany just wait for the switch over. Once that happens you'll see options to upgrade to extra or premium. For me, in california, it said "77 days left on your ps+ essential sub. Upgrade to extra for the remainder period for $17, or premium for $20. *after sub has ended, you'll be charged monthly price of $17/$20" or whatever the costs were, not exact.

Re: Reminder: PS Plus Extra, Premium Launches in North America Tomorrow

It seems that ps was forced to the new "tier" thing, because of how successful gamepass has been for ms. With the way they have been begrudgingly marketing, or lack thereof, of the tiers, I can only surmise that they DON'T want people to sub. Subpar roms, poor information distribution, not to mention the hassles of canceling stacks and whatnot.

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Forces PS4 Players to Buy Cross-Gen Bundle

Back in my day...
...when I was 9yrs old(damn, I'm old) I had to mow a few yards and gather some birthday money, but I was finally able to walk into toys r us and buy contra III: the alien wars for the snes. In 92' that game released, at toys r us at least, for $69.99. I was devastated, cause my young ass was like, "the fcuk is taxes?!" The cashier helped me out. Thank yous, little old lady cashier!

Short story, long, $70 games have been a long time coming. Just depends on whether you're perturbed enough by it to wait for a sale or not buy it at all.

Re: Soapbox: I Really Miss E3

I always had this whimsical idea in my head, of what comicon and e3 would be. I've never went and knowing they might be gone forever, disheartens me a bit, but it's not something i sit and ruminate about. Life goes on, other things take their place, etc.

Re: PS Plus June 2022 PS5, PS4 Games Announced

PhhhCough

This is the problem with ps/ms giving away free games, monthly. Eventually you're gonna run out of good games to give, then you have to dip into the B tier(more so with GwG), sometimes lower. And when they're not up to snuff, the negative press comes. And if they want to stop this program, negativity will arise again. It's a lose-lose situation of their own creation.

With that said, I hope both gaming giants do away with the paid bottom tier and the free games and just make the service free, without the free games.

Re: Poll: Do You Care About PlayStation TV Shows?

PhhhCough

Yes, I'm interested to see how it turns out. Not excited that they're coming.
..this is the option I would've chose..

  • GoTsushi, how different will it be compared to other samurai movies/shows
  • GoW, I wonder if they're gonna start with the Roman era GoW
  • GT movie/show, no interest
  • Horizon, prequel, sequel, retelling, new story, etc
  • TLOU, how it'll be different from other post apocalyptic "walker" shows
  • Twisted Metal, just to see how it turns out

Re: PSVR2 Will Have Over 20 Major Launch Titles

@Perturbator @Kinova @SoulChimera @thefourfoldroot1 @NEStalgia @TheUnrestCure @TJ81

Right on, for the input. I'll wait for the 2. That is quite the extensive list, hopefully a majority of those will be backwards compatible.

Re: Like PS Now, DLC Won't Work with Streamed Games on PS Plus Premium

PhhhCough

I always thought, if you were late to the party, it would give you more time to show up with a more complete outfit. Ie psnow, then came gamepass with a much better system. So one would "assume" the next ps tiers would be equal to, if not better, than gamepass. Hopefully time and sony will alleviate most of these woes, by the NA launch.

Re: Spider-Man Games Could Have Been Exclusive to Xbox

PhhhCough

Spiderman is a great comic book game, even though the bar is kind of low, with that said it has a fair amount of repetition, that is present in a lot of open world games, a lot of "icon" clearing on the map, a lot of searching and seeking "items", etc. After the novelty wears off, and you've done the same car chase 30 times with the same qte, the same rooftop battle, etc, it gets old. Same with the witcher III, halo infinite(which isn't so infinite), fallout 4, BoTW, horizon series. Maybe I'm old and just don't enjoy gaming anymore. Maybe I'm burnt out on open world games and "creating my own adventure". I gotta find that itch. Maybe it's time for some linear games, again.
