Re: PS5, PC Disaster Concord Is Now Officially Offline Indefinitely

Pushsquarian

Not sure what's with Predecessor rebranded from Paragon and its changes that differentiated them apart, after from what I remembered was a long hiatus..

For this case, don't know how the project can be salvaged at this particular time, given even going free model together with characters recast going forward..

At least the developers will be given a second chance moving forward is my take on all this, whatever they will be working on next ๐Ÿคž

Re: PS5, PC Shooter Concord Dead on Arrival, Is Being Taken Offline This Week as Dev 'Explores Options'

Pushsquarian

@naruball

How could you forget Infinity Nikki, I'm fairly disappointed.

Live service for people like you and me is known for content delivery, instead of some stereotypical genre.

My days with live service multiplayer ended with Overwatch and started with that pepega live service SP, Jenshin Impact.

Needless to say, trends are very volatile when the games made today, might probably age like milk, 8 years later.

But hey, one thing that always age like fine wine is the schadenfreude pick-up lines๐Ÿ‘Œ

Things I'm okay with:
1. If the digital games price revamp and more frequent addition/subtraction to Plus benefits
2. Option to upgrade ๐ŸŽฎ
3. Forward compatibility disc drive (cross-gen)
4. Identical pricing as launch slim models
5. Bring back PS Plus Collection for newcomers + more for everyone
6. More quality live service games
7. ๐Ÿคญ

Things to look out :
1. Better and frequent showcases without cramming hype (๐Ÿ™… overwhelm & underwhelm)
2. Let us choose our own PS Plus Essential titles (e.g. 3/5 selector)
3. Try not to gate-keep DLCs especially / next-gen games from current-gen through marketing contracts under pretense of technological divide if can be helped
4. Don't be afraid to try new things/genres with expendable income, as a company

These would be my genuine feedback.
Now let me go back and read some of the comments ๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿฟ

Re: Online RPG Blue Protocol Shutting Down, Western Release Cancelled

Pushsquarian

End of Service? out of the blue didn't see this one coming NGL
Had always remembered this first and foremost an MMO than a Jenshin contender.
Project Mugen on the other hand ...

In other news, Nikki has gained yet another million of grown men since PushSquare's article, easy does it ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿคญ

Re: Genshin Impact Boss Cries on Stage Following Harsh Fan Feedback

Pushsquarian

That Furina music in the BG I just can't ๐Ÿ˜‚

I don't think an article like this will go well with dwellers on the site here because they are not real fans ahem ahem - I mean 4 years of lost context within the sphere.
Evolution taken place when people gave positive feedback over the course of the game they love turned into not-so-positive feedback.
They produced multiple games and at the same time mails in-game surveys (more than every game in the industry, with total clarity of the issues of the game events listed upfront somehow) ... goes ahead and repeat/design those pitfalls.

Every casual gamer has their limits.
QOL on that/their other game doesn't even compare, yes?
I would only say, before all these debacle ended, the team done suspicious things in tldr.

The most important thing is . . . It's not "Dev Listened".
It's "Devs Learned". That's all to it ๐Ÿ‘‹

Re: GTA 6 Won't Be on Subs Like PS Plus at Launch Because Take-Two Makes 'Rational' Decisions

Pushsquarian

Just so we're clear, both they're live service games.

If we're talking about ''that'', everyone oh so worried about how much revenue cod are losing out/sustainability instead of their real long term strategy of revenue making before making bank on another sequel after the milk runs out . . . just mind boggles me.
Comparing a chocolate factory versus a diamond artisan.
Both equally successful in their own way.

MS bought Bethesda & the likes and let's be honest, they had plans like these coming after contractual obligations fulfilled. They bought the company and it's resources, so it's fair game for their money.

TL;DR: too much speculating in some comments from T2's one neutral remark.

At the end of the day,
only they have their own financial revenue, we can only speculate.

On a side note, I'm looking forward to Tomb Raider news without unhinged expectations.

Re: Reaction: PS5 Needs a Price Cut

Pushsquarian

Proud to be that 25 %.

People always want the Neuvillette of all things and bench every obsolete unit "by their standards".

When significant amount still using decade old Oppa Xiangling until Natlan comes out, either or the contents inevitably power creep the units.

I will say, .. not every investment always brings value.
Whether that value comes late on, you can always look back and say, '"hey why would I need a PS6 this soon when I could still run medium Ray Tracing on The Witcher 4?"

Ahem anyways, yes price reduction will always definitely happen if the competitors wills it.

Re: Naughty Dog Allegedly Found Bungie's Feedback on Binned The Last of Us 2 Multiplayer Extremely Helpful

Pushsquarian

Originally a PVE expansion to Part II would do fan service very well, but I guess they tried too hard to find success in capitalizing beyond single player baseline audience.

They still could, just with a better unique new IP that could showcase their live service/vision novelty.

Ooff.. I honestly miss Gravity Rush 2's live service aspect.
Enjoyed those fun little treasure huntings.

Pushsquarian

It'll release next year, trust me bro.

They could've found an in with the live service way imo, Star Citizen and NMS, even Genshin could..

If they had so much content like they said..

LSA left most people the impression of combat foremost, not the story. Story can always be continued in a live service way, not another 5 years mind you!

When done right, with their scale of ambition I don't think it cannot be done.
Most games market them in Part 1 into Part 2 to make cash, doesn't always mean it's always going to be one-and-done or waiting for another full blown sequel.

They are indie, they can be flexible. It's not corpa.

That being said, PS5 Pro could not be a better time for it to ride along with.

Re: Poll: Are You Sick of Soulslike Games?

Pushsquarian

hhmm, what makes a souls a souls experience?

Come to think of it, I've always treated my gacha games as a ''souls experience'' (if you will), and how is that even souls you might ask..?
If I must explain, well, resources. They come and go if you're not prudent. Skill whereas can manifest in different forms, not just reaction, but understanding of the landscape.
Now if someone comes along with the obligatory ''g word", then clearly didn't read between the lines on how some of us play our games.

Food for thought!

Just adding (very, very late) this here, Elden etc is considered a live service at least to me. Traditionally, games as a service is heavily reliant on 'version updates', and nowadays, even offline games are going to be semi-live, just not to the degree of No Man Sky .. just yet.
Live service is very prevalent in everyone's lives, in fact, so to speak.

Re: Poll: Are You Sick of Soulslike Games?

Pushsquarian

Certainly do! Doesn't hate them though.
Bloodborne might the only one I ever gone through and enjoyed, and that's fine, because I know I'm more of a gacha gamer than anything else.
If the Phantom Blade Zero I've seen feels anything near like Zenless Zone Zero, I'd welcome it any day.

Re: Wuthering Waves Officially Confirmed for PS5

Pushsquarian

Wished Kuro devs would support PS4 rendition because UE can be very flexible if they want it to.
There's a whole audience like me still waiting on that, waiting to jump from Pro to Pro.
Granted, it would take time and expertise for every patch porting but it should be profitable if there is ongoing demand from the get-go.
Personally, I'd still hold this opinion even when I do get a Pro.
