Re: Video: Reboot, Remaster and Remake - What’s the Difference?

Rhaoulos

Remaster: near identical game but improved in some way (lazy devs just make them HD)
Remake: same story overall but completely reworked and often more detailed
Reboot: start from scratch with a different story.

@Ultrasmiles XC a great remaster. Identical game, but improved in almost every way. I wouldn't call it a remake since nothing has changed in the story, combat system, maps or monsters. Just a lot of QoL. It's very similar to FF7 integrade or for ghost of Tsushima director's cut

Re: Sony 'Closely Monitoring' Nintendo Switch OLED as Industry May Look to Increase Prices

@thedevilsjester Good, we agree it's not a matter of cost, but what you get out of it. Since the dock includes an Ethernet port, and the ethernet adapter for the vanilla dock costs $30, article about a $50 price increase make no sense.

Following the same logic, it's an extra $50 for a bigger screen and Nintendo not selling accessories that should have been included in the dock since day one.

@Mostik Saddly you're right. I blame all the idiots spreading rumours about a hypothetical and stupidly named "Switch pro".

@Voltan @get2sammyb I know you guys are both right, but it's still a $100 difference for a blu-ray player that adds nothing at all in terms of comfort, unlike a bigger screen and better dock. I'm not defending Nintendo, but if there is a demand for a premium version for both consoles, they might as well get something extra out of it. At the end of the PS5 life cycle, there won't be a loss for the digital edition, just pocketing an extra $80+ (?) for each standard ps5 since components get cheaper over time.
