I wish publishers recycled (not close) entire studios when they flop this hard, just discreetly rename it and present it again as a new studio. Having teams that have already worked together and who are up to speed have way more value than a studio that's being created from scratch.

I still haven't bought FF7 rebirth. The first one was ok, but I'm not paying more than 30€ for the sequel. Maybe I'll buy a remastered version on ps6 if the console is still below a thousand euro and Sony stops treating its customers like crap. Maybe I'll buy it on PC when Square stops signing stupid exclusives with Sony. Or maybe I'll get it hacked or won't play it at all if I don't feel like paying.

Already played it twice, then I lost interest in the series with forbidden west. So, hard pass even if the upgrade is free (and it won't be knowing Sony's greed)

Hopefully they'll have time to implement everything before launch and not break most functionalities like they did with the PS5... And maybe test their system so it doesn't randomly fails to offer game upgrades. But we're talking about Sony. They don't really care about firmware quality, and not just on consoles, but all their hardware

I just laughed when I saw the price. I bet some people who were all in on the upgrade changed side and are now claiming they never had any interest in upgrading.

TBH, even if I didn't have a PS5 and wanted one, I'd probably go for a 2nd hand base PS5

From a financial point of view, a PS5 pro would make sense for Sony, but I'm not sure it's needed. If people want higher fidelity, they would turn to PC, unless playstationism is a religion or a cult I'm not aware of.

That reminds me of people driving a crappy car not worth anything and buying a super expensive flashy CD player. I wouldn't pay more than a console for some extra storage. I'd rather pay for part of a gaming PC.

That trailer is trying way too hard. It's like it wants to be John Wick, Cyberpunk 2077, the Matrix, Max Pain and many others, all at the same time.

That being said, the dystopian future is perfectly represented by all those people who seem to be botoxed so much, they don't look human anymore.

The moral of this story: add fine prints on a partnership contract that requires a company to pay reparations if there is any public disrespect from any employee.

Regardless of who that person is, publicly insulting the CEO of a partner company should be treated as gross misconduct (emphasis on publicly, saying it internally is human nature)

They need to add full censorship with the photo mode update, just to get some free advertising and remind the world that the game still exists.

@TruestoryYep It was the GOTY of a year with insane competition. Remember Skull island: rise of Kong was also released. Also GOTG isn't as catchy as GOTY.

"open world" is NEVER a good selling argument. Most open worlds are stale, empty or filled with Ctrl+C/CTRL+V content. And coming from Ubisoft, I can't help but be worried and not that interested. At least until they prove they can make good games again.

@Truegamer79 I'm pretty sure the trailer from E3 2017 was a desperate marketing stunt to avoid the Vivendi hostile takeover attempt. It was a nasty time for Ubisoft, so for once, I wouldn't hold it against them and completely ignore the original trailer.

Judging by Skull and bones' reception after a millions years of dev hell, I'm not sure anyone is confident this is a good thing.

Good to know coming from the guy whose team still isn't able to program a pause function or add a quest log (at least to keep track of what was said 50h earlier in the game).

That makes sense. The game has 3 distinct parts. Then it depends on the season length. Not sure they have enough 20-25 hours of content.

I still think investors are the only things AI should be replacing. But any random item would do less damage than those bipedal creatures not even pretending to be humans.

They would have sold 5 times as many copies if those games weren't locked on PS5. I hope they got a good deal with Sony. Also Squeenix loves to whine about sales for every single game.

Offline single player games toooooootally belong in the past. They should double down on crappy GaaS and invest heavily in AI and NFTs. That's definitely what everybody wants.

Suggestion: fire those overpaid execs. I'm sure their absence would be beneficial in more than one way

Oh my god! @ShogunRok has been replaced by and AI! If the human @ShogunRok was still in control of his account, he wouldn't find any upside to AI... Or has he been corrupted by EA? Is his boss an AI??? Is the entire video game news industry controlled by an AI?

Extremely serious concerns aside, the only beneficial way to use AI is by replacing executives and investors by a Raspberry Pi or equivalent. Any poorly conceived robotic Ai would be more humane than those overly paid poor imitations of human beings.

The tomb raider trilogy by CR was fantastic, especially the surprise of the first game playing as lady Nathan Drake. Hopefully they will succeed with the transition to open world. Wait and see...

I'm more annoyed about Sony not offering the possibility to change PSN account country within Europe like Nintendo.

Also I'd imagine Sony will eventually make their own launcher if they keep porting games to pc. That'll require a PSN account.

I'd love to read a new about Sony forgetting to renew the license with its own studio. They fail so hard sometimes, it wouldn't even surprise me. Or they just love to give all of us the bird.

It's barely worth playing as background noise while you do something else. The characters are extremely annoying and poorly acted (especially the stupid sister). Knuckles is barely in his own show. Or maybe it's for 8yo kids and I'm too old to enjoy it. The sonic films were fun though.

I see this type of censorship every day. People wear clothes in public to censor themselves, me included.

@Korgon Censorship exist so parents can safely buy their 8yo kids games for mature audience. At least that's how I see it. If only there was a way to know what the game includes... Like a label of some sort.

When I buy a game, I want every characters to be blurred out, or hidden behind some light magically hiding specific parts of the body. This is the only way to enjoy 4K graphics.

I've been hoping for this one since they teased a new game which ended up being Steamworld Quest. I'll need to revisit the first Heist before this one comes out

To be honest, nier automata is only lacking a little visually. Everything else is arguably perfect, from the satisfying combat, to the insane storytelling and incredible music. Also I don't think any country can best Japanese voices.

So if Taro isn't satisfied, he should work on another great action game set in an insane world.

Kickstarter is a real problem. Projects have no obligation to deliver any of their promises.

If the game is worth it, I'll wait for the inevitable Discounted™ edition

@Icey664 Agreed. It's weird to pick a character from one of the worst movies of the franchise and not even have the actress.

Emilia Clarke is probably way too expensive. I'd rather they spend that money on polishing the game.
