@MikeOrator Well, Outlaws for me is just a blue print of any ubisoft game, just with different skin. It is shooting. Just having the saber and game itself made me feel more like star wars. Also, the part where you are a kid and you were learning the force. Such things. Maybe it is just me, but I enjoyed it much more.

Now this is a star wars game, not Outlaws. And not only Star Wars thing, it is fun and enjoyable game. The latter is much more important and tend to be forgotten lately.

@JuiceboxMeister I have not yet too. But I do not know why they are so bad. What they did? they made the best console ever and great games. But whatever they give people will never be happy. Even if it is for free.

And now, if we just stop asking for best tech for pennies, in this article lies part of the answer. To achieve this - the RT hardware inside the PlayStation 5 Pro comes from AMD's next-generation Radeon graphics hardware, or RDNA 4.
So, we want tech that is actually not availble but only at Sony at the moment and with no price hike? WTF guys?

Knowing in what states games are released, Astro is the only one deserving the full price. I got today TDU Solar Crown and it is total crap in terms of performance. Good that i boght again physical and selling it on the market. Otherwise i woyld have been 100% screwed. Now only 20% loss

well, it might be more to that. Yes, price increases do not help, but maybe some which wnated ps5 which increased decided to go for pro. if they are now getting console so let it be more time proof.
As for Astro ..... if we, as gamers, fail in that ... we will not get more like those and it will be a F shame. We get what we deserve ...live service crap.

Well, I personaly do not care about this adaptive charging since I use the PS charging station and there I see much higher charge. When charged via the USB and the charger (which uses different ports) the life time is arround 40% to 50%. Most recent long game was Banishers - 9.5 hours (vibration was ON). Before that I could not get to 5 even.
But this is understandable, try charging your phone from the usb conencted to your PC or laptop and then from the charger in the wall. If you can, get that.

@Max_the_German Exactly. Not sure why everybody is so focused on native 4k when with new techs like PSSR you cant see the difference. Only Digital foundry can but I do not pause and zoom like crazy. I play. I thinks PS5 pro will handle it nice.

Well, I remember GTA V needed top line GPUs BUT due to ***** optimization on PC. So, it it aslo importnat the quality of a game. Any developer can make so heavy game that no hardware can handle it. The trick here is optimization. And not only on consoles.
And yes, we all remember Cyberpunk.

Guys, come on. It is just more powerful console. We do not have to buy it. All games will be for ps5 as now and just additional extras for that. Is just like any other things - tv, phone, laptop, car - you have more luxary ones and there is no gun to the head to buy. Lets kill Lamborghini because we cant afford their cars.

@carlos82 true. But isnt this what all are doing. Netflix and the likes, movies only in their network. Microsoft. Spotify. Everybody wants to give but only in their yard. Yes, I agree this is bad for us and this is why I think we should push for physical.
As for prising. Yeah, with PC parts, TVs etc. And not to mention phone prices where phones come without charger ... Why is sony differnet? Not saying that it is good, just all are doing that *****.

Well, I was also not happy with the price, but taking time to think about it, it is not bad decission. Why?

• Sony is not targeting all players with this. This is not new generation. This is high level. Same as 4090 video card. What, nvda are bad to ask crazy price? No. They have lower options. Same here.
• If you want all bells and wisstles actually you need the TV to support those. Do we all have it? I doubt it. So is it bad that super expensive TVs exist? No. Same here
  We just have an option for better hardware. No guns to the heads. Just an option. (yeah, lack of disk is crazy but Xbox will come out same , you will see).(lack of stand ... pure insanity on all levels)
  And also, it will sell. Oh it will sell good. Remember the reactions for Portal? Or the Edge controller? PS4 pro made arround 15% of the ps4 sales and it was a success. You will see same here.

Well, it is good that those working parts are not just thrown on some garbage mountain. So, well done for that. They have warranty so what do you care.

Only interesting for me is why they calculate till 2029. Why this year. Maybe info for ps6?

@itsfoz A whole console with all the r&d, process, etc for one game...i doubt it. There are many games in the works and many more we have no idea about. One example that needs this hardware is the upcoming No Rest For The Wicked

Ok guys but see this fact. Games come out, they are not smooth so people say how ps5 was not powerfull enough. Now there is an upgrade and all say - not needed. So which one is it?
My opinion is that moat games run not so well is due to bad optimization. Many examples there. Also, this ps4 compitability is such a handbrake.
As for ps4 pro - i had and it worth it. I had much better crisp screen. If they give me here 60fps (i do not need all bell and whissles in it) i will get it.
But at the end, what is the issue if there are options?

@fleenerstrunk yes, me too. It even kills the day one buy excitement not only for Star wars, but everywhere. cough cyperpunk cough. I played it 1 year later and i got the best of it and as you said - cheaper.

My rule again applies - never day one buy, wait for sevceral months to have good experience.

Sounds promissing and interesting. Also, differentiates them apart. Good approach...lets see the implementation of it, but I am possitive.

There will never be enough of additioanl things for Astro Bot. (Except the triangle levels ..... )

Dont they understand that always online and live service is not what most people like. And they dont even mame the game work smooth....
Maybe in time it will be a good game but now it seems it needed some more 6 months work.

Ok, so tgis is a game of words. Live service is a bad word because it is same word for pay to advance. What astro did was nothing of the kind. It made no difference, it was just reason to play more if you wish. And if this is a live service, then it is good. But right now the result is :
astro 1 - 1000 others.
One more reason to support it and show everybody the right path.

I am playing now with my daughter and I find something that team Asobi are geniuses. They made it like save game memory cards of ps1. So she can play and i separately with separate progress. This worths praising. Those guys are geniuses.

But on the topic - so it is said how sony stood the test of time, it is now THE console to use, etc. Aaaand they say how bad they are..... well, what would have been if they were good?!? Own the world? 🤣
