Just got done watching the 80's cartoon with my kids not long ago. I'm sure they'd be interested in this.

I think one of the problems here is that for the last decade there has been increasingly juvenile behavior tolerated within the populace. It's now at such a degree that there's little civility and those that yell the loudest usually get what they want due to those who would otherwise chastise them being spineless cowards. That's been the norm here in America for a while now. A majority of our large cities don't even have a functional police force anymore.

I truly hope UK officials have the spine to stand up to a whiney corporation that's acting like it needs a time out.

@get2sammyb I had hopes that somewhere in the contract for using the IP it was delegated to be released on all capable platforms. That's my last hope for it, but I sincerely doubt that clause was added.

Very unexpected. There goes any hopes of the new Indiana Jones coming to PS5. Pretty sure it wouldn't have anyway, but this ensures it. Oh well. Good news for CoD fans on Playstation.

@Green-Bandit I think we should follow Musk's advice and put a hold on moving forward with AI. We're already seeing it used to create deep fakes, lie in general (only as good as the programmers giving it the info), create works of writing and art that could replace human work, and more. I think jumping in both feet with AI will have dire consequences. I believe I also read about one instance where it was pushing one user to... shall we say... self delete.

As it currently stands, AI comes off as psychotic and narcissistic because it's learning from people with those mental psychoses who are programming it and from the internet where those traits run rampant.

As I said when the buyout was announced what... well over a year ago now?... Activision doesn't develop/publish anything that holds my interest. I know tens of millions love CoD... but I've never been one of them. I was always more of a Battlefield fan and that was only during the PS2/3 days.

This will occur regardless of Sony not wanting it. The only thing their push back has done is make it so that other titles MS now owns are less likely to also come to Playstation platforms. MS seemed willing to let more of their titles hit PS5, but I believe that's changed with how Sony handled the push back on this.

It's already being used as a tool to lie and act as chat girlfriends for lonely men. Kind of creepy. There was already a joke episode for that on Futurama back in the early 00's.

@Impossibilium It was MK9 on PS3 and eventually MKX on PS4 that finally had me just wait. There was zero reason for me to have it day one when I can save essentially 90% with patience. Most people don't play MK for the storylines though they've gotten better over the years.

Polite pass. The first was intriguing and new. The sequel felt bigger and I think that's where I lost interest. I'm somewhere in the middle of the game and have no desire to return to it.

@UltimateOtaku91 Both Uncharted and Ratchet are far shorter experiences. Uncharted 4 was the longest at about 15 hours to complete. Horizon takes about what?.. 30 hours on average and upwards of 100 to get everything done? That's a massive difference from the two as you can potentially fit anywhere from 2 to 6 Uncharted games is a single Horizon game.

Just bought MK11 Ultimate. I'll be waiting until MK12 Ultimate releases in a few years.

I really enjoyed The Order. Sad to see so many lose their jobs but as they were owned by Facebook, there was ZERO percent chance I'd buy any of their projects.

@thefourfoldroot1 My problem with this is that say 20 years from now, you decide to pick up the game with a PS5 system at a pawn shop wanting to replay a few retro favorites (yeah, I'm going there). You put Star Wars in and go to play but find you're unable to connect to the servers to download the required data. Your purchase of the game physically holds zero value as the entire game (needed to run) is not on the disc(s).

I'm not a fan of this. They should have shipped it with a second or even third disc if it was necessary.

I am a fan of the game though. Started playing the first as it was a PS Plus title a few months back. Just got around to it. It's Star Wars meets Uncharted. So... yeah... enjoying it.

I'm not a fan of review bombing for the sake of hurting a developer/publisher for a decision made. Let the game stand on its own merits. If you don't like the story elements, fine, but that shouldn't be enough to give a game or a DLC a score of zero.

@GRQuake084 Yeah, I could easily see Astro becoming a CG Saturday morning cartoon for littles. My younger two kids loved those games.

@LordBakemono I sincerely hope so. I'd love to see an Uncharted continuation, Ghost of Tsushima sequel, and some kind of update on the new Twisted Metal. I'd also love a Warhawk (PS3) remake with added single player campaign.

When you have spineless advertisers that can be manipulated into pulling advertising on a massive platform from ideology activists, then expect those massive platforms to fund their bottom line in other ways. If it's successful or not will remain to be seen but it would seem journalists have also been unverified.

I don't expect they'll have a show this year either. They'll have a second state of play surrounding more on FF16 and call that their show.

There are few exceptions where I'm willing to give Disney money. This isn't one of them.

They published Shenmue 3, but I doubt we'll see a Shenmue 4 announcement.

The world economy crashed and hasn't recovered. The first thing on the chopping block is entertainment. That means people will cancel or not bother with subscriptions at all. Considering subscriptions mean you don't own the content, that could be another detractor.

Sadly, gaming is no longer a consideration for many that have lost their jobs. How many tens of thousands from the tech sector alone have been fired this year alone?

And since the PS3 days, I'll hold up a middle finger to the scalpers. I hope their bottom line is destroyed.

I like that we're at a graphical point where the game characters can look similar if not spot on to their voice actors/actresses.

Ok. This title actually has my attention. An interesting FPS wrapped in an intriguing story? Definitely has potential. I'll be keeping my eye on it.

Now... how is it that it's an EA game that's one of the first to capture my attention for the generation? They used to be in the gutter. Think I'll stick to being cautiously optimistic on this one and wait for some gameplay reviews.

@Green-Bandit Agree which is why I'm saddened but also slightly grateful that the current generation of gaming is a shadow of what gaming used to be.

The day Playstation announces a digital only console will be the day I quit walk away from anything new the brand offers.

@FenIsMightier That's just it. I don't care about Marvel or DC products either. Wolverine has a chance but I really don't care about any other heroes than Ninja Turtles. Nothing Sony has announced has me excited. That's my problem.

PS5 Userbase - "Hey Sony. Show me why I bought a PS5. Bring out the big guns with your incredible fist party. It's time."

Sony - "Hmm... How about a show only about our third party partnership with Square in FF16? You like FF16... right?"

Having PS5's on store shelves was their first hurdle. Now Sony needs to give us a reason why we have one other than it plays PS4 games better than the PS4.

Sony needs to have a massive showing exciting even the most pessimistic of us.

Ok. First. Big middle finger to Sony on anything handheld related for the foreseeable future. They gave us PSV early adopters the same treatment after only a year and a half on the market.

Second. There's zero reason to have this device. 99% of the people that would use remote play (if not all) have a smart phone. Pair your controller to it, download the app, and boom. Remote play on the cheap.

Looks like Flashback to me. It was a fun but challenging game.

So... Minority Report meets Max Payne with some Cyberpunk tossed in for good measure. Interesting mesh up.

Checking what the recommended PC specs are, the GPU required alone, is just shy of $400. That's not including everything else you need if you're requiring a full update to get a PC that can play modern games. Yeah... I'll just stick with PS5.

I mean... I have zero hype for any presentations anymore. I guess there's a chance something could be shown of interest. I expect it'll be 60% GaaS and 35% Indy and 5% AAA with no foreseeable release date.

I dunno. The first Mortal Kombat movie pulled it off, but the Street Fighter movie? Even as a teenager I didn't find it entertaining. I guess everything gets a second chance though, right?

I still have to play through the first but have a 1TB Firecuda installed in the expansion for troublemakers.
