Looking forward to replaying this. It'll probably take me a year to get through everything including the side quests and DLCs with the little time I have to play.
I have no intention of buying any collectors editions anymore. Last I bought was the Uncharted 4 Libertalia Edition back when you could buy a great CE for a mere $120.
@Boucho11 I have a decent list actually.
1. Dino Crisis reboot
2. Shenmue 4
3. Ninja Turtles (dark and gritty)
4. Uncharted continuation
Then for already existing reveals, I'd like updates on...
1. Mass Effect 5
2. Tomb Raider (new game)
3. Witcher projects
4. Indiana Jones coming to PS5 confirmation (not happening, I know)
The best thing announced was the Forspoken demo. As predicted... nothing shown that I care about. The industry is making the choice of PS5 being my last system an easy one.
I'm no fan of the woke culture but no... it seems to have gotten a fair score. I actually stopped as soon as I encountered kid zombies immediately followed by some psychopath holding down and burning a character.
Nope... that's a darkness I'd rather not continue. Can't blame the woke for this one.
@KidBoruto I was happy to buy A Plague Tale Requiem (PS5) to support the small studio Asobo at full price. They're going to be lucky to hit 5 million sales for that title as it's new gen only and considered niche. Games like God of War Ragnarok that have a massive fan base and will be accessible to over a hundred million users? Yeah... they'll be fine without me supporting them at launch.
With minimal self-control... if you don't like the $70 price tag... you can wait for a price drop or sale. Example... the new God of War isn't worth $70 to me. It'll be a great game to play through, but I'm not shelling out $70 for it. That means I'll be waiting and I'm ok with that. Seriously... minimal self-control and over time, the price will lower.
I'll root for a couple games per year to get some recognition but I honestly never liked self aggrandizing of shows like this from the likes of Hollywood. The game awards were smart to implement new game announcements. Without those, they really wouldn't be worth watching.
Sadly, I expect nothing to excite me this year so I won't be bothering to watch.
I picked Mass Effect for the poll even though I bought it full price when it released last year. Not in the mood to replay but it's just that good of a game that even replaying some time in the next 3-5 years is more exciting a prospect than anything offered over the last couple months of PS+.
I mean honestly... I'll probably wait for next Black Friday to think about picking this up. AC has a bit to prove if I'm going to consider buying another.
He's one of the worst humans alive today. Him being attached to this game makes me want to play it less. I'll happily wait for a significant price drop... spoilers be damned.
Yeah... polite pass. Even when this was shown during arguably the last true Playstation showcase, it looked horrible. I won't be touching this with a 10ft pole.
Ok... serious questions to the fans. I've always enjoyed FF7 but I've only ever gotten as far as the end of disc 1. I own and played Remake which stops at basically the same part as disc 1.
1. That Yufi DLC, where does it fit into FF7 (PS1)? I have yet to play it but am considering picking it up.
2. Where does Crisis Core fit into the story? Is it a prequel? I never played it.

Looking forward to replaying this. It'll probably take me a year to get through everything including the side quests and DLCs with the little time I have to play.
Re: Rumour: The Last of Us 3 Is In Development at Naughty Dog
I'll continue ignoring Naughty Dog then. Oh well.
Re: Poll: What Is Your PS5, PS4 Game of the Year 2022?
1. A Plague Tale Requiem
2. TMNT Shredder's Revenge
3. Uncharted LoT
4. Horizon FW
5. Sonic Frontiers (for fun)
Re: Final Fantasy 16 Collector's Edition Will Set You Back an Eye-Watering £330 / $350
@Flaming_Kaiser Agreed. When the heck did it become acceptable to charge $100+ for a game's collectors edition and not add the game in?
First I saw like that was Mass Effect Andromeda. Can anyone remember one before that?

305 hours with 45 of that being my kids playing Disney Infinity. 🤣
Re: Sonic Frontiers Speeds Past 2.5 Million Sales in Its First Month
Sonic is definitely on a roll. I bought the game for my son on Switch that he gets to open on Christmas.
My favorite Sonic cartoon from the 90's is also getting a third season made by fans. Trailer:

I'm looking forward to replaying. The updated features are welcome.

@jrt87 No joke.

Re: NetherRealm's Ed Boon Teases Next Game Launches in 2023
I could go for some MK. I skipped 11, so if I don't get it for Christmas from my wife, I'll probably just wait and see.
Re: Poll: Did You Buy Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion?
@TheTony316 F it... I'll preorder this then. 🤣
Re: Poll: Did You Buy Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion?
@TheTony316 Eh... full trailer release then.
Re: Poll: Did You Buy Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion?
I'm considering picking it up but I might wait till FF7 R part 2 is announced. That might get me wanting to revisit.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 456
Probably something with the kids. Taking a break from my games until Witcher 3 PS5.

Re: The Last of Us: Part I on PC Costs $20 Less Than PS5 Version
PS5 tax is obvious. Sony knows PC gamers will never pay $70 for a nearly 10 year old game that was spruced up.
Re: Final Fantasy 16 Is Officially the First Mainline Game to Be Rated Mature, 18+
Ok... now I'm even more interested.
Re: Sonic Fanbase Heartbroken Over The Game Awards Loss
A Plague Tale Requiem deserved recognition and got none so...
Re: Final Fantasy XVI Has a Dog Party Member Who You Can Command in Battle
That actually puts this into the category of maybe... especially if Red remains unplayable in FF7 Remake 2.
Re: Poll: How Would You Rate The Game Awards 2022?
@Boucho11 Exactly. In fact, I think Rocksteady would do very well with it. Irony on the dev name not lost on me.
Re: Busted! The Game Awards Stage Invader Arrested After Bill Clinton Interruption
@Would_you_kindly Yeah, but the dress was already stained.
This is the first I'm reading of the intrusion. Glad the idiot got arrested.
Re: Poll: How Would You Rate The Game Awards 2022?

Any one of those would have made me happy.
Re: FromSoftware Reveals Armored Core 6 for PS5, PS4, Out Next Year
I haven't played an Armor Core game since I think... the PS2 days? 🤔
Out of everything new shown, I feel this has the most potential. I'm not hyped, but I'll be keeping my eye on this one.
Re: Poll: How Would You Rate The Game Awards 2022?

Re: US Government's FTC Will Attempt to Block Microsoft's Activision Buyout
Ok good. Now let's prevent the growth or even break up other massive companies like Google, Facebook, Disney, etc.

Re: Earn 100 PS Stars Points Just for Playing PS Plus Games
I still have zero points because I don't buy any games digitally. Maybe I'll take part in these to get some.
Re: PlayStation Blog Opens Votes for Its Game of the Year 2022 Awards
Stray and Cult of the Lamb nominated for best PS5 game and not A Plague Tale Requiem? 😒
Eh... I wrote them in. Luckily they give you the option to do that.

Re: Monster Hunter Rise Will Only Be Available Digitally on PS5, PS4
That's honestly a deal breaker for me.
Re: The Witcher 3 PS5 Is 'Hugely' Impressive, Says Super Positive Performance Preview
Considering I loved the game on PS4 in 2014 at ~30fps, I'll love it at a stable 30fps with far more bells and whistles.
Re: The Game Awards Will Be 'Significantly Shorter' This Year
Probably because there's little to show.
Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Essential Games for December 2022?
I picked Mass Effect for the poll even though I bought it full price when it released last year. Not in the mood to replay but it's just that good of a game that even replaying some time in the next 3-5 years is more exciting a prospect than anything offered over the last couple months of PS+.

Re: PS Stars Members Can Celebrate PS3 Game Wonderbook This Month
I actually almost got WonderBook for my kid at the time. The cost was astronomical for a game though.
Re: Upcoming PS5, PS4 Games for December 2022 and January 2023
I might eventually get Crisis Core but want to play the Yufi FF7R DLC first. For now, Witcher 3 PS5 upgrade is all I'm getting this month.

@tselliot Legit.... nods slowly
Re: The Witcher 3 PS5: Everything New and All Improvements in the Next-Gen Upgrade
My 1TB Firecuda SSD came in a day early. Install was a breeze. Took less than 8 min to transfer 480GB to it from the console storage.
My PS5 is officially ready for the Witcher 3 upgrade. Can't wait.
Re: Rumour: PS Plus Essential PS5, PS4 Games for December 2022 Leaked Early
I spent most of the year replaying the Mass Effect games after the trilogy released. Probably my favorite series after Uncharted.
I've been interested in Biomutant as well. Maybe I'll finally get to check it out.
Re: Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion's Launch Trailer Is Packed with Nostalgia
@EquiinoxGII Appreciate it.
Re: Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion's Launch Trailer Is Packed with Nostalgia
@EquiinoxGII Awesome. Any idea if the Crisis Core remake plays like the FF7 Remake?

Re: Random: Oddball PS3 Catapult Game PAIN Celebrates 15th Anniversary
I played this for a while... but why celebrate an anniversary for a game no one is still playing? I guess the dev wanted a reason to clink glasses?
Re: The Witcher Remake Is an Open World 'Reimagining', Still Years Away
Woot! 2028 GOTY right there! Hopefully there's a PS5 version...
