Re: 13 New Games Joining PS Plus Extra, Premium Next Week

@nessisonett Thing is, while it was technically already on the new PS+, for a lot of people the period it was available was very brief, as they never had access to PS Now prior to the overhaul
I myself started it in that period but didn't get far before it was taken off

I might try RDR2 again
@nessisonett There is no PS Now anymore. RDR2 was taken off PS+ about 3 months after the services were merged into PS+ Premium (which is also when the streaming became available in many more regions than before - which used to be very limited).

Re: PS5, PC Live Service Concord Will Launch in 2024

All the original teaser showed was a certain aesthetic (which I actually liked a lot).
I don't expect to get into a PvP shooter like I did into Helldivers but I do hope it's a good one.

It will be 1 year since that trailer next week btw

Re: Helldivers 2 PC Players Blindsided by Seemingly Sudden PSN Account Requirement

Voltan

Ok so there's a bit of nuance here.
PSN isn't available in all regions Steam is. Now sure, it always said the account was required but the link could also be skipped.
Now here's the thing - imagine you bought the game and then found out your region is not on Sony's list. If the requirement was enforced from the beginning, you could easily have refunded it (as Steam policy supports automatic refunds for games played under 2 hours and owned for less than 2 weeks) - 3 months later it's no longer that simple.
I imagine they'd still refund it but you have to go through support now.
And yeah, in practice you can just lie when selecting your region and nobody will check that but technically it's against TOS and can get the account banned.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Stellar Blade?

I picked up my copy yesterday but haven’t started it yet, as I’m one hard difficulty chapter away from the Rebirth platinum.
I guess this means I’ll be playing it tomorrow at the latest.

@NEStalgia I agree it could've done with more RPG mechanics. Weapon choice was basically reduced to a linear progression of "this one does more damage than the last" and while there's technically elemental magic in the game, there's no reason to use one element over another, other than preferring the Eikon skill tied to it. I think there should be benefits to selecting a loadout fit for the current scenario and that's my main issue with the game mechanics.

As for difficulty, I think it would've been better if it was a bit harder, with the regular difficulty renamed to easy (while maybe tweaked in a few places that were not that easy) - so it still could be approachable for those who need it but not kinda disappointing for those who don't.
