I don’t want to completely sidetrack this into an LRG bashing thread! I’ll simply acknowledge there’s some good stuff here and move on.

I want a physical copy but won’t buy from LRG.

@B_Lindz It’s a full remake of a game in one of the most beloved franchises in Japan, and possibly the most beloved game IN said franchise. Fairly sure its the most beloved of the NES releases at least. I’m pretty sure they can get away with it here.

@NEStalgia The key is to focus on the MSQ quests and the blue ones with the pluses! Those will unlock raids and such.

The side quests are mostly there for flavor. Later expansions will have them give more exp on a scaled basis which is decent for leveling side jobs, but keep your eyes on that MSQ prize!

@NEStalgia My WoL is fully ready for Dawntrail, just doing the Yokai Watch fates with friends till DT launches.

Don’t hurry, ARR is worth playing and you’ll want to savor everything that comes after it!

I really need to get back to this game. Sadly it probably won’t happen for a bit, in the middle of FF13 via XBox backwards compatibility, then Dawntrail next week on the trusty PS5!

But I absolutely loved what I’ve played of SB so far!

In all seriousness, I only have a few, and they’re all opened. I don’t collect these things.

I know it’s a different setup, but the fact that PSVR1 games can’t be played natively on 2 just turned me off completely. I skipped the VR1 and was actually considering the 2…but that right there was the nail in the coffin as far as me ever adopting it. At least at the current price point.

Gosh, a Ubisoft game being mediocre in perceived play style/mechanics? I am shocked, SHOCKED I say!

The man who starred in Star Raiders should certainly know a quality product when he sees it.

I suspect Helldivers has very little to worry about. Besides, they can be like WoW and FF14, have a friendly rivalry and enjoy each other’s work.

I’m good with letting this one hit the bargain bin, just like AC Shadows.

I’ll wait for this to hit the $10 bargain bin, as we all know it will.

I can say that I have exactly zero interest in this game. At all. I’m tired of games like this.

@djlard A lot is different for me. Faster loading speeds, better graphics and frame rates, games that don’t exist on PS4…like the one mentioned in this article in the first place!

I guess if you only play cross-gen games, nothing would be different.

@glennthefrog You’re not wrong, but Sony made those claims and then studios didn’t deliver.

Look at Sony’s first party titles. Ratchet and Clank. God of War. Horizon Zero Dawn. Last of Us. Gran Turismo. Spidey. Returnal. Those (mostly) live up to the hype.

Then look at third party devs and what they seem to be doing. It’s like Nintendo first party games and the Switch. The big N makes the hardware sing and dance with games like Mario Odyssey and such, and then third party devs…don’t.

Either way, I stand by my satisfaction with my trusty PS5. And I say this as a PS owner, a Switch owner and (for my sins) a Series X owner!

Definitely not a classic situation.

I’ll stick to my OG copy on Switch. No physical release and asking full price are a double whammy for me.

In no way is this false advertising. It’s CAPABLE of 8k output. Just because there’s no content doesn’t mean the capability vanished.

Day one purchase for me for sure. I had a big goofy smile on my face the whole time I played that free game on my PS5, didn’t even bother installing any other games for a few hours.

These folks have my absolute faith. One of the few times I’ll preorder without hesitation.

I’m one of the few who liked the game at launch, and the whole completely-alone situation it had.

This feels like it could be interesting. Too bad Dawntrail comes out next month and all other games will cease to exist for me!

@Porco It’s because Skyrim is fantasy and GTA fulfills everyone’s desire to give into to their base urges and steal cars, shoot anyone they see, and basically do everything you (hopefully) would never do in reality.

I say this as one of those idiots who re-bought GTAV on PS3, PS4 and PS5. I AM part of the problem, and Rockstar will likely milk GTA VI on the PS5, 6, 7 and 8.

Gosh, a GTA game released and re-released on no less than eight platforms/THREE console generations (PC, PS3, PS4, PS5, 360, XBone, series s, series x) sold that many? I am completely shocked, SHOCKED I say.

@Dragoon1994 Agreed for the most part. I’ve disliked them for a long time, but I had to have my Scott Pilgrim physical version. >.<

I’ve only made two purchases with them, this will be the third. They’ve really, really lost focus on what they were supposed to be doing.

Might as well ask why one would want a copy of a “fun” movie on disc. Or a “fun” book in paper form instead of an ebook. Same reasons.

I dislike LRG, but I will absolutely pick this up on disc for PS5, maybe also XBox as well. This is a game that deserves to be remembered and have a place on a player’s shelf.
