I was genuinely surprised at how good that film is. Deserves to do far better at the box office than it has.

Well, speaking as someone who just bought his first (and likely last) XBox in the form of a Series X about seven months ago…I’ve actually enjoyed the experience. Gamepass has led me to buy games (for my PS5, amusingly…looking at you, Hi-Fi Rush!) that I normally wouldn’t have, trying the Halo series for the first time ever has been a pleasant experience (I’ve even liked the later games, gasp!) and weirdly the FORZA HORIZON series has made me wish I’d have done this sooner.

And I usually HATE racing games.

It’s a good console. Genuinely. Also been enjoying the backward compatibility which lets me play FF13, Metal Gear Revengeance and the original Assassin’s Creed without needing another console.

That said…I could get rid of it today and be none the worse for wear. Once I play Starfield and beat the hell out of Sunset Overdrive, I’ll be good. Hell, I already let gamepass lapse so I can just play the XBox discs I’ve picked up now.

My PS and Switch are still my go-tos. The series X has been a valued addition, but definitely my third wheel as far as consoles go.

Pretty sure I’d be playing with English subtitles and Japanese voices enabled anyway, if I ever get back to this game. Usually do that given the option.

@Kidfunkadelic83 They mean removing it from sale. Previously purchased or acquired copies in libraries would be unaffected.

And I say this as someone who bought their first and likely only XBox ever this year to play the XBox only games he’d missed over the years.

I’m always happy when games like this get a western release! Hopefully the localization is done well.

@Yousef- I’m definitely enjoying my series X! I love my PS5 far more, but the whole backwards compatibility thing is pretty sweet. It amuses me that the series X can play the original Assassin’s Creed game, as well as all three Final Fantasy 13 games.

As someone who just bought his first Xbox ever about 6 months ago and has now played through the entire mainline series up to Infinite (saving Reach for last!) I can say that I would be quite happy if this happened.

There were bits I didn’t care for, including locking a lot of context/story behind other media. Plus I have exactly zero interest in any multiplayer, I’m here for the story only. But yeah…if they ported the MCC over, I’d buy it again, along with 5 and Infinite. I’ll reward good behavior.

Doki Doki Literature Club is a must-play for anyone. Such a pure, wholesome game that’s perfect for children!

@colonelkilgore I dunno…it’s hard to fall off the floor. But if anyone can manage such a feat, it WOULD be Ubisoft.

@Yousef- You need zero previous FF knowledge, and it’s free to play up thru level 70! Previous FF knowledge makes you appreciate references, but that’s about it.

Well worth your time. The story is excellent (tho the first part is more world building and isn’t quite as interesting, but HOLY MOLEY it gets there) and it’s an MMORPG where interacting with other players is mostly optional.

I…just want cross play so I can game with my PC/XBox friends. >.>

Thank god I’m stuck in the past, then. Give me my single-player one-and-done games. Well, and FF14, of course.

No interest. I barely play my switch in portable mode, since my eyes much prefer a larger screen in my old age.

A portable PS6 would be wasted on someone like me. Especially since it’d probably be digital only, I don’t see them adding a blu-ray drive to a portable device.

@RoomWithaMoose One should always complain about censorship, even if it’s something you don’t personally think is important. The next thing to be censored may be something YOU care about.

Censorship in general is to be avoided whenever possible. Overzealous censorship is how we lose episodes of tv shows because a future generation deemed them offensive, or because a political trend started happening, or other equally spurious reasons.

Never stand for censorship.

$700 for a machine without a Blu-ray drive is stupid.

@Fiendish-Beaver If this is like every other PS4 to PS5 upgrade I’ve seen, there will be separate trophy lists.

One reason being the whole dlc thing. The dlc trophies were added later for the original game. I’m willing to bet they’ll be in one unified listing for the PS5 version, so separate from the PS4 version.

@Fiendish-Beaver I have never had a first party PS4 to PS5 import saves automatically. You always have to deliberately have it happen, like Spider-Man, etc.

@AhmadSumadi As previously said, you can just…not import your save. Unless you just can’t resist hitting that shiny import save button…
