Not a horror kind of guy, but I enjoyed Ghostwire and (on the strength of trying it on a series X via gamepass) just bought Hi-Fi Rush for PS5.

Such a shame. I hope all the folks who cheered MS’s acquisition of Bethesda and the rest are still just as happy after this.

It’s probably just an error in dates. Things happen, shows don’t always get things 100% correct. Jet contrails appear in Middle Earth, someone in the background forgot to add a year or two in the show timeline.

In-universe reasons could apply too, of course. I mean, this is the post-apocalypse world. There’s bound to be some errors here and there in record-keeping.

These mean nothing. My point stands. I can play the version of the game on the disc with zero issue or zero internet.

Now we can have a discussion about devs not shipping a bug free game certainly. But my statement is accurate and you were incorrect and sharing that “oh, the disc is just a license, you have to download the game” misinformation. Which it absolutely is.

@darylb24 Untrue. Other than a couple of exceptions, PS4/5 discs come with the actual games present. And Sony can’t disable a specific game disc, just specific accounts. 99.99% of PS4/5 game discs will play just fine for anyone without an internet connection, so you’re not just “buying the license.”

Please don’t spread this misinformation.

Time to stomp out this fleet that we TOTALLY knew was there. Our glorious Super Earth strategic planners were prepared for this all along, and any reports to the contrary are treason!

Dragon’s Dogma 2 comes in hot with unannounced mtx, Tekken starts begging for more, Atlus switches course and has post-game dlc (tho at least theirs gives you more actual STORY CONTENT and not just “hey, fast travel now!” or “here’s a new hairstyle for your punchy-kicky person!”)

I’m sure heroes will be reasonably priced and there won’t be any disgusting microtranactions and….pfft, I couldn’t even keep a straight face while typing that.

The same people defending Capcom in this comments section would likely be frothing at the mouth if another company whose game they liked slightly less did the same thing.

@AdamNovice If you just focus on the story, it’s not really all that much bigger than a typical JRPG. And there’s no pressure to keep up on it when you can’t devote the time.

@Duel Nope. I saw the Ubisoft name, saw the mediocre quality in all the media I’ve seen about it, and the number of players in this thing are not high.

Wouldn’t waste my money.

Skull and Bones will probably not last through the year, highly advise not getting that unless you just HAVE to scratch that pirate itch and don’twant to wait for MS’s pirate game to release on our consoles.

I suspect some of the same people who were BLATANTLY OFFENDED at Atlus coming out with their expansion pass are looking at the DD2 microtransactions and are somehow saying “oh, this is fine, people enjoy this sort of thing and you don’t HAVE to get any of it…”

Interesting…guess some developers are more easily forgiven if you like their games. Whodathunkit?

“Anti-consumer” gets bandied about so much that it’s lost a lot of meaning/impact for a good number of people.

@Martijn87 Things are allowed to change. I can say I have no intention of doing something, see something that drastically changes my mind, and say “you know what, maybe I WILL do that after all!”

I definitely see both sides here, I just don’t have the level of pure outrage that the “I will never buy anything from Atlus again!!!!!” folks seem to maintain.

Everyone seems to forget that we had to rebuy the whole game to get access to The Answer on PS2 back in the day. No other option back then. Odd how there weren’t “ANTI-CONSUMER!!!” cries back then…

I’m not saying Atlus is a paragon of virtue here, but P3R is amazing and…okay, I’m not HAPPY to but I’m CONTENT to give Atlus the money they’re asking for to get this content when the time comes. I’ve spent more for things that ended up not being worth it, and Atlus has a consistent track record there as far as I’m concerned.

I….don’t like censorship. At all. So while I understand the desire to downplay his presence, it seems kind of silly to me given his involvement in…well, almost EVERYTHING.

But I’m also not the target audience, so eh! They won’t gain or lose money based on my feelings on the matter.

Should it have been included? Yes.

Will I still buy it? Yes.

Pretty much lines up with my thoughts after playing the alpha. It just…just isn’t great.

@DennisReynolds You could very well be right! Heck, my disc copies of vanilla P3 and FES on PS2 do establish a long history of this. I just wanted to understand what you meant!

@DennisReynolds What do you mean, “true” version? Are you assuming Atlus will do yet another Royal style release and maybe include the FES content or something?

@Rocky1972 No, I think I was pretty unambiguous in what I said. If/when I get around to playing it, it’ll be the PS4 version as I feel zero need to buy the upgrade.
