It was really bad. Watching him blast through three or four awards at a time without any celebration just so he could get to the next ad was grim. And even when winners did get a chance to speak they were so rushed they barely had a chance to say anything of substance or actually be celebrated for their achievements. It was actually pretty sad.
As an awards show it was terrible, with more time given to a guy explaining how he hurt his ankle playing basketball than most of the actual awards. Dreadful stuff.
As an E3 Winter Edition it was okay. Some alright announcements and nice trailers, but the pacing was all over the shop because they had to keep interrupting the trailers to pretend it was an awards show and talk to puppets.
Basically, I think Geoff either needs to do a Christmas E3 or an awards show. This is both but not good at either.
Being a big fan of Horizon and Aloy and the colour blue, I'm totally into this and I'm irked that I can't just buy myself one without entering into a bidding war.
I've always liked the idea of Dead By Deadlight aside from the fact that it's a multiplayer game. The horror icons and stuff. So this sounds like something I'd be into.
My mate when I was a kid loved this game and we had to play it every time I went over because he loved it so I just stopped going over and now I haven't spoken to him since like 2001.
If games that weren't even released this year can get into this vote, then we should organise an amusing trolling of the game awards for next year by getting loads of people to vote for like Treasure Island Dizzy or something and see if we can get it to win a game award. It'll be like that time Rage Against The Machine got the Christmas number one, but loads better because Treasure Island Dizzy is involved.
The second this acquisition was announced I said it was the pointless acquisition of all time. Bungie is a totally overvalued developer that somehow continues to fail upwards, presumably because a lot of people got Halo for christmas when they were kids and the rose-tinted glasses are fully engaged.
Even if you like Destiny, divorce yourself from that for a second and think about it as objectively as you can. Destiny was mediocre on launch, middling reviews, and it got better over time. Destiny 2 learned nothing from that, also launched mediocre, made many mistakes, and then it improved over time.
But the fanbase for the franchise never seems happy. From the outside looking in - I played Destiny but haven't played 2 - it seems like everyone who likes the games likes them in spite of themselves. All people do is complain about it. This weapon sucks now, everything costs too much, not enough story, pointless pvp, whatever.
Maybe I'm unlucky and only see the people moaning but it seems like Bungie constantly gets it wrong with Destiny, and then couple that with the cratering revenues, the lay-offs...
Sony bought a dud with Bungie. Total waste of money. And they shouldn't be letting Bungie dictate what other teams making live service games are doing, because from my perspective, the only reason their live service game is a success is because of brand loyalty.
I thought it was pretty cool, but aside from messing around with the sound and some visual flourishes it didn't do much for me. I thought the best one was the woman looking for the old man. That one got me.
I'm not thrilled by this news. I'm not necessarily worried either. I think they're still delivering with each game so we've got enough good stuff in the bank between us for me to trust this is fine. But making the map huge isn't something that gets me excited about a new Yakuza game.
It's astonishing to me that a Final Fantasy VII remake game is coming out and it's the game I'm only third most excited about from that month. Disgusting line-up. Should be illegal, really.
I actually rate this game a lot. A lot a lot. I like the side content being more woven into the main story. I think it's got fun villains. I love how it actually makes 6 and 7 better games by filling in the gaps. And I think the last hour or so is one of my favourite parts of any Yakuza game. I was grinning from ear to ear during that final confrontation.
I haven't played it but I hope Baldur's Gate 3 wins. I know it's the favourite and usually I'd want an underdog to win, but such a deep, nerdy RPG winning gives me joy.
I don't think it ever was one of Sony's best. It's really good, liked it a lot, but also bloated and often boring and dedicates way too much time to tedious characters when it's got so many great ones like right there.
I don't know who the voice actor is but I keep seeing people complain about him. I don't know. I can't be bothered to do any research. All I know is that I don't like this, but it should also be said that I don't want any English voicework for my boy Kiryu. Lad's Japanese. Let him speak it.
@ShogunRok Hey Robert, in this game do any losers march up to Kiryu in the street, make some sort of joke about him being an old man, demand that he pay them money for no reason, and then Kiryu batters them to within an inch of their lives and then they lay crumpled on the ground, apologising profusely for their actions?
Wild that Sony bought Bungie to have them make sure that their internal live service games were up to snuff, considering that - from the outside looking it - it seems that everybody has been moaning about Destiny non-stop for like ten years.
I had mountains of bugs. It was bugland. Probably the least polished first party game I can remember from PlayStation. None were game breakers. I only had one actual crash. But I couldn't go an hour without a pedestrian floating by, or coffees hovering in mid-air because the table didn't load, or Peter Parker's hair randomly disappearing etc.
It's like someone made a machine that can read my personality and then make a video game exactly tailored to what I want, and then some jerk took that information and made the total opposite.

Until then Fortnite can get in the sea.

Re: SEGA Wonders Whether Releasing Sonic Superstars Next to Mario Was a Good Idea
They should be questioning whether releasing it at all was a good idea.
Re: Dragon's Dogma 2 March 2024 Release Date Leaks, Again
I've owned Dragon's Dogma for years and I think it's been on PlayStation Plus (twice?) and I've still never played it. Maybe I should. But will I?

You start at 1. Then 2. Then 3. Basically, do them all in release order.
This is the law.
Re: Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition Won't Have Its Own Separate Trophy List on PS5
I actually would have bought this again for a new trophy list because I'm insane. But I guess they just saved me some money.

Re: PlayStation's Mobile Games Studio Rebrands Following Multiple Departures

Woah woah woah. This might come with its own trophy list?
That's the kind of thing I just can't say no to.

Re: Poll: Do You Like Metal Gear Solid Delta's New Graphical Style?
It reminds me of those videos you see on Twitter every now and again, where someone has made Mario in Unreal Engine.

Re: The Last of Us Multiplayer Game Is 'Basically on Ice' Right Now
