It's so Square Enix to tell us how to pronounce Cait Sith - a thing that already has a pronunciation and it's not the one they're telling us it is - but not tell us how to pronounce things they made up like Chocobo or Cactuar or Seifer.
I really, really liked this game. Definitely one of my favourite PlayStation exclusives. If this has a new trophy list I might get it and platinum it again. If not then there's not really any point buying it.
I played the entirety of Final Fantasy XIV this year right through to Endwalker and owning a house and all that. It took 595 hours. It was also totally worth it. If you put your mind to it you can accomplish anything, as George McFly would say.
It's so funny how he says, "you don't need to worry about that." I am worried about that. I thought we'd all agreed to pretend that Advent Children didn't exist. And now we're here letting it infect the remake trilogy. It's like they're determined to do everything they can to ruin these games. Lightning will probably turn up in part 3.
I am so excited for this. I hope there's a platinum for every game and I will get the platinum for every game, even if MGS2 still has that terrible trophy list from the HD port.
I love this game very much and I do want to play this. I really wanted them to add a third person mode in the DLC considering what a waste it is to have such cool fashion and customisation and you never see it. Still, you can't always get what you want.
Wild that Phil Spencer thinks that Microsoft buying Nintendo would be a good move for both companies, considering Microsoft has had twenty years and almost unlimited funds and still contributed basically nothing to gaming except an ethernet port, and Nintendo is Nintendo.
@R1spam Definitely minor. Or it was a minor issue for me. It's more just a few irksome barks and some weird phrasing which might be down to translation. It's not PS1 Resident Evil, put it that way.
@pumpkin_head it does. Going through the documentary timeline will not net you many though. Most are from playing the various versions of the games in some specific way.
This is a wild price jump. I wouldn't even care if the service was good enough to warrant it but it isn't. The "free" games are frequently rubbish, never more evident than this month which seems like spectacularly poor timing on their part.
At the higher tiers it becomes even more egregious. Comical. Tone deaf. Completely embarrassing.
I actually do use remote play on my phone quite a lot. I play a lot of Japanese visual novels and stuff, and it works fine for those. I can't imagine throwing 200 notes at one of these for that though, and I'd never use it for anything else. Seems kinda pointless.
I am outrageously excited about this. I hope it's a remaster of the original game and not a remaster of the previous remaster. I'll take either, but the original is still best.
Reviewing an old game is so hard. Like, do we score it based on the time it came out and what it did or do we score it based on how annoyed we are that they gave us a rubbish port when we wanted a remaster, with no extras, and then charged us way over the odds for it?
I don't care about wasting money on lazy products so I'll probably pick this up at some point since it's so long since I played it. But it's so annoying that they didn't make more effort with it.
I'll maybe play Death's Door but it's nuts that they're giving away Dreams now that it's dead when they should have done this at launch. Oh, and there's a golf game. Gotta stop with the sports games on Plus.
Everyone is here crying like babes because the games suck and I'm sat here rubbing my hands together thinking about binging the platinums in Twisted Metal 1 and 2 in a glorious weekend.
@Kidfried I actually finished it but I was totally bamboozled by the love the game got. I'm sure it ended up one best of the year lists and stuff and I was totally nonplussed.
I'm glad you recommended playing the games in release order. It's the only way. People suggesting that you start with Snake Eater is second only to "You should start with Yakuza 0" in terms of recommendations that irritate me.
I used to love Settlers back in the day, but I only liked building a little town and then got bored as soon as people started attacking me. I did the building a town bit like a 100 times.
This sounds hideous, but then I think that whenever I hear the English versions of any of the Yakuza cast so it's not necessarily a knock against this new guy. The game is so Japan-centric, and I'm so used to hearing the characters speak in Japanese, that literally nobody could voice these characters in English without me recoiling.
There's no way this is true. Uncle Phil is presumably just trying to claim that Xbox had to resort to desperate measures with Bethesda because of Sony's aggressive tactics. Sounds better than Xbox trying to buy their way to the top.
@get2sammyb it's like you are speaking for me because that's pretty much spot on. I would say if you take all the bugs and glitches and crashes and balancing issues out of this it's probably a 7. And between incidents I did like it. But yes, it's not a lost cause - it's a decent game ravaged by problems.

Re: Final Fantasy 7's Coolest Companions Won't Be Playable in PS5's Rebirth
My man Cid better light some dynamite with the cigarette hanging off his bottom lip or this game really won't even be worth playing.
Re: Preview: Like a Dragon, SEGA's Once Embattled Yakuza Series, Has Never Been Better
If Kiryu dies in the new one the game gets an automatic 1/10. This is non-negotiable.

I'd be way more excited for this if it looked like Persona 5 and not like whatever the hell this artstyle is.

I've got world class, MI5 level internet and PlayStation's streaming doesn't even work well on PS3 games so I'm probably not going to use this.

The characters in the original killed the game for me so I'm glad they've gone more mature and less weed lol this time around.
