@ShogunRok Well, you can get Korean BBQ in Final Fantasy VII from that diner, which always kinda bothered me.

PS Plus Premium continues to be borderline insulting, but Extra is pretty good!

I will buy these games again and play them again. Wish it was the plain old Persona 3 and not the PSP one but whatever. Beggars can't be choosers.

One thing that always bothered me about Tekken was that King would have to have a tiny little head to fit into that mask, if you think about it.

If I was reviewing this news story I would give a 10. Banger of a twist. Comedy gold. Fanboy tears. Love it.

I never even played this at the time despite Final Fantasy VII being one of my favourite games. I think I just like Final Fantasy VII as it is. The expanded universe is pretty rubbish, from what I've played/watched/cringed through.

I briefly considered pre-ordering this a week or two ago to tide me over until Santa comes, but then I saw how late the embargo was and I instantly sensed there was a rabbit off with it.

Everyone seems down on this game but I like the idea of dinosaur high school or whatever it is.

Oh man. I haven't been following the hype cycle for games lately and so the whole time I thought this was superhero XCOM and I was really looking forward to it and now I just found out it's a card game.

I used to like playing Settlers but to be honest I just liked getting all the little fellas to build the houses and then I lost interest when it turned violent.

I never played this at the time and I think I might just leave it that way. I was going to order this but then for some reason the talk of nonsensical storylines and dire writing left me thinking about the ending to Remake, and now I'm thinking I just don't need any more adding to VII. It's fine. I don't need this.

Ah. The 7/10 banger. My favourite type of game.

I would hover between 9 and 10. It's not a slam dunk 10, I don't think. But it probably does enough. It's no less than a great game. Pretty similar to God of War 2018 but I would argue that the best bits of Ragnarok go harder than that, and the highs are higher, and the lows so infrequent as to not really matter.

This is about 12,000th on my list of games I want to get to and play at some point but God knows when I'll get around to it. Glad it's good though.

I absolutely refuse to believe this game is good. Even if I play it, and it's good, I won't believe it.

This looks nice and I would like to play it but I'm not playing it without playing the first one and I'm not playing the first one on Switch so I'll just wait. Very, very patiently.

@ralphdibny We went a lot of places. You should have seen how long the opening bit was before I remembered it was a mini-review. Toby was going to have a backstory and everything.

@nessisonett Yeah, I think I bought the PS3 version back in the day. Shame Sony is hopeless and I can't just play them without having to go through the ordeal of hooking my PS3 up again. Gotta think ports must be coming.

Probably coincidental. The relaunch didn't make the existing product worse, it just added two tiers. So presumably these losses would have happened regardless. Possibly down to the lack of big games in 2022 or whatever.

@Choppaz I said it was alright explicitly in the second paragraph. And I said it implicitly in the first sentence. And the score has "Not bad" written next to it.

The problem, as always, is that if a game gets less than an 8 people get sad. Like we can't enjoy sixes. I'm playing a six right now and enjoying it. It's fine.

And I didn't really recommend playing a six year old game. I said that if you liked JRPGs and played a lot of them then this would be a fine one to try but if you don't you should try something else like Persona 5. That's just good advice.

It's like if you had never, ever seen an action movie, I'd say watch Die Hard. It's a banger. A classic. A winner. If you've seen loads of action movies and you love action movies and then Out For Justice starring Steven Seagal comes on the telly I'd say sure, give it a go. It's fine.

@TowaHerschel7 I didn't slam the game. I said it was not bad. You can tell because where the 6/10 is at the end of the review it says "not bad" next to it. Not bad. It's pretty alright!

It's absolutely insane that Sony isn't just giving this game away to try and get people to try it.

I don't care about any of the features of the controller, and so I only really care about what it looks like. I think it looks worse than the normal one and it's over twice the price so there's pretty much no reason for me to ever get one when I've got perfectly good blue, pink, and white ones at home.

Looking forward to buying this game for the third time and getting the platinum for the third time.

Not even including the God of War controller is peak 2022 Sony.

I actually think putting Gamepass on PlayStation would be a good move, provided, of course, that it was a special version of Gamepass. They couldn't just be putting all the games that are on Gamepass on the PlayStation version - loss of sales, competing subscription service etc.

But a version that was just the Xbox first party games? Halo, Gears, now Bethesda stuff and ultimately Activision? I'd like that. It would save me wasting money and buying an Xbox when I get that Gears of War itch.

I am excited to buy Persona 3, 4, and 5 all for the third time.

I'm totally fine with them spending a bit of time remastering Horizon Zero Dawn and making it look a little more PS5-y but if this is a standalone £70 release with no upgrade path for PS4 owners then this is insanity. It should just be something in line with the Director's Cut versions of games they've done previously, which I'm happy for them to do for any of their PS4 games like, you know, BLOODBORNE or something. Mainly Bloodbore. Just do Bloodborne.

@colonelkilgore Depending on what you want from the game you could like this or not. If you don't care about story etc. and you're scoring this based purely on a combat experience then it's more like a 7 or an 8 for me. The combat I really think is great. The problem is the other stuff. So if you want the whole package this ain't it. If you want exploration it's not it. Meaningful character moments - nope.

But for what it's worth, even with the flaws I genuinely enjoyed my time with it and I even briefly considered going for the platinum but I couldn't be bothered with hard mode.

This is one of those weird things where I can see the logic in and I actually think it makes sense but it's such a toxic idea optically that you'd have to be bonkers to try it.

This is probably the first time this has happened since the PS3 days but these are all games that I've considered buying before and never have. This is an excellent month for me.
