Why is the PS Direct link to the US store and not UK? It baffles me why this site seems to be US-centric.

I'm buying one, the price is what I expected for a niche product that has a cheaper version still being sold.

@themightyant I'll get one. I understand it is a niche product and so I'm not too unhappy at the price, i expected it, especially post Covid. I paid £550 for PSVR2 and a PS5 Pro represents better value for money for me and the 4 years or so I expect to play it.

I think there's a lot of knee-jerk reactions going on, which I can understand, but its shortsighted. I'd be FAR more upset of this were the price for a PS6 and my only console option

@Fiendish-Beaver it is the right thing to do. What would've been nice is if the kept the campaign mode as an early release for all. Removing that time-served benefit wasn't something they had to do to ensure parity. Could've kept it quite easily.

Why is the price in dollars in the headline? You're in the UK, why are we always second class? It's not even $700 because that doesn't take tax on board. At least £700 is an accurate representation of the price.

@Fiendish-Beaver it's still not doing us all a favour. Instead of continuing with the tradition of releasing the campaign early for all, they've chosen to do the opposite for all.

As you point out, it's not doing PS a favour, so whichever way its dressed up, there's a portion of the market that this decision is a step backwards.

Considering everything has gone up in price I don't know why Sony is expected not to do something similar. Since Covid prices have universally risen at the same time as the value of what our money can buy has dropped. It's hardly worth having savings because why put off buying now when the value of your pounds will be less over time.

Don't worry. Lier Starmer will save the economy with his cash grab on old folk and new taxes on electric vehicles.

Do we? You'd be mad to. Unless you have an eidetic memory what you think you remember is tainted with bias, edited to reflect what you think you remember, and the older it is the less reliable it is.

People have false memories because of the power of suggestion, especially common when there's a shared experience and someone recounts your part of it and you imprint thier account onto your memory.

Eye witness testimony is the worst, least reliable evidence in court which is why statements are taken near the time of the crime.

However, it seems during an argument with my missus her memory is like watching a video playback and it always favours her point of view. Amazing!

@LN78 agreed. Raiders is a film for all to enjoy, with a charismatic lead who appeals to the everyman.

Frankly, I find it a bit ridiculous the devs have to explain that Indy isn't a gun-totting nutter, but such is the way of things these days everything has to be spelt out.

@LN78 well yeah 😄 I meant the character. It's not like it had to be played by SLB.

@LN78 having her as the new Indy was definelty the plan, I'd say. But they made her so unlikeable I'm not surprised it did badly with test screenings. I felt they killed Indy's son just so there was no opportunity for him to follow in his dad's footsteps and pave the way for Helena. That may or may not be the case (I think it is) but what is for sure is that they turned Indy into a sad, useless shadow of his former self to emphasis Helena, and like Han Solo, he didn't deserve that.

And yes, Crystal Skull was plain awful.

@LuXifer seems to be difficult to make a decent Indy film too. The last one was absolute nonsense. Made Indy into a gormless, helpless old man, killed his son offscreen, and installed a completely unlikeable and insufferable Helena as Indy. Awful film.

@StylesT the timing is very fortuitous. It's such good timing you'd be forgiven to think that it was a social experiment to see what gamers prefer; a single player, fan service game or a live service, politically charged, hero shooter. An expensive way to find out the obvious either way.

@Rodimusprime1313 well apart from GT7, Horizon, Spider-Man, God of War, Sackboy, Demon Souls, TLoU, TLoU2, Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted, Ghost of Tsuschima, Death Stranding, MLB 24 and PSVR2 games, in 4 years. I know some are PS5 conversions but Sony has launched a whole platform in PSVR2 which is a huge chunk of time and money.

@Atreus97 I think $7500 for a single song is a reasonable place to start negotiations. 5,000 to 50 grand I'd say is the price range for a well known, decades old track.

There's plenty to choose from, it's not like Rockstar need this song in the game, so he's let his pride get in the way of business.
