Avengers is a live service multi-player game. This is not. It is a multi-player focused game. The devs have been super clear about this.

@sketchturner this is the first NFS game since Most Wanted on the 360 that has even caused me to glance in it's direction. This looks SLICK AF.

@Milktastrophe I don't think it was "you need to raise money". Based on how they worded their kickstarter they brought their vision to multiple publishers and they didn't believe people wanted the games. The kickstarter proves otherwise.

Here is the quote... "We pitched multiple publishers and none would fund our games without proof of concept. We believe in these titles and have tons of great stories to tell, so instead of giving up, we are proceeding down the only path we have with crowdfunding—to show that these are games the fans want to play."

If publishers don't think they are going to recoup money then they don't fund. The crowdfunding shows that there are people out there that want these games. So this shows publishers they can get their money back.

I don't think it's scummy, it's just economics.

@RawnDawn no problem. I'm really rooting for these too. They smashed their goal in the first 24 hours so this should prove to publishers that it's wanted.

@RawnDawn if you read the kickstarter info, It says that this is for proof of concept. They pitched multiple publishers and couldn't get funding without it.

The kickstarter is to show the demand.

Journalism isn't just reading a few tweets and crafting an article around them. Japan hasn't turned on Sony. A few people in Japan have. Japan isn't "praying for a pc version of ff16". A few people in Japan are. Hell a bunch of people outside of Japan are. I'm also willing to bet that there are people thst own an Xbox and not a ps5 that are hoping FF16 comes to Xbox. This isn't news...

People that don't have a ps5 want to play a popular game on their system of choice...

@ReadySlayerOne it sucks because I genuinely had enjoyed this site up until recently... now it's just a barage of Sony hate. Not just by the editors but also in the comments. Some of it may be deserved but can we stop beating a dead horse?

Here's a few fun facts:
1: inflation is happening everywhere
2: the American dollar is strong compared to other countries
3: there are these fun things called exchange rates that impacts prices around the world
4: THIS ISNT THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED! As i said yesterday, the ps4 had the same thing happen in canada like 6 months after launch, because the Canadian dollar was doing terribly compared to the American dollar.
5: the price of all goods and services are impacted by fluctuating markets, not just the ps5. Just because Microsoft has trillions of dollars and doesn't need to react right now doesn't mean they won't.

in the end this is simple economics and anyone claiming "Sony is greedy" are just being absolutely delusional.

In the end I have all 3 systems. I don't care about this. It's not the end of the world. In canada the same thing happened with the ps4 after I bought one. Price went up 50 bucks. The reason was because the Canadian dollar was doing absolutely garbage compared to the US dollar.

Looks interesting, but I'm not 100% sold. It's coming to gamepass day one so IF I try it, at least I already have access to it.

If it came to this or playing bloodborne again. I'd choose bloodborne for sure.

Tried this out today, not really a fan. It's a smash clone, and a decent one, but it's doesn't feel right when playing. Nothing feels like it has any impact, and the "special" moves feel really weak.

Not to mention the incredibly convoluted UI.

I am so sick of hearing about this game... I really don't get why anyone is interested in it.

I loved until dawn, and loved the quarry, but I have been pretty luke-warm on the Dark Pictures games.

Man of medan was okay but very underwhelming and little hope while a bit scarier was a train-wreck writing wise...

I haven't played house of ashes yet, but ive heard it's the best of the 3 that are out.

People need to realize that just because you got something as part of a subscription service doesn't mean you are entitled to a free upgrade.

This is a business Capcom needs to get paid for their efforts. As the article stated there is a possibility that they were only paid to include the ps4 version as part of plus. If the contract changes, which it can, then maybe the upgrade will be free later. Till then... deal with it.

This game was criminally underrated at the time. Really fun premise and gameplay! I'd welcome this back!

@awp69 agreed. This is nowhere near a 5/10 game at all. I was hooked from the opening, playing on ps5 with headphones and 3d audio is a real treat.

Have to completely disagree with this score. I've been playing all weekend and it's an absolute blast.

@nessisonett I agree... it kind of makes me sad thst as a gay man who enjoys video games, that no matter what platform I play on, or basically what company I choose to buy games from I am stuck supporting a backwards country like this.

Doesn't matter if it's Nintendo or embracer, or multiple other companies... the Saudi regime has their hands in basically everything at this point.

I'm glad someone else saw the similarities to both Metal Gear Rising, and Lollipop Chainsaw. I really enjoyed both of those so this has me quite tempted.

@JSnow2 so don't buy it, they are obviously doing this to capitalize off of the TV show. There is potential for a whole new market of players here.

The first game came out 9 years ago, and the remaster came out 8 years ago. Lots of kids grew up in that time and could be looking to play this for the first time.

There are also going to be many people who just got their first console and watch the show and want to try it out.

Just because YOU don't want something doesn't mean others can't have it.

I'm totally fine with it playing like Part 2. The gameplay there was great. Sign me up for this.
