Re: Urban RPG Zenless Zone Zero Is Totting Up Tons of PS5 Playtime

@rjejr
Yeah usually when you want to level up something or upgrade a skill the game will show you the "thing" you need. If you click in R3 it will tell you where you get it. Click that and it'll warp you to the location and even pick the correct monsters for you to fight. This is where you'll start needing to spend stamina, which replenishes slowly which is why people usually only focus on the 3 main people they want to use because otherwise it'll take way longer to make progress. Luckily a lot of the later story chapters just let you use trial characters that are pre leveled anyways so you don't have to worry too much if you just want to get through the story, which does pick up a bit by the end.

I mean, if that's the case then why even greenlight a game that "non-chuds" won't even play? Who was this game for?? This just screams of a disconnect between Sony and their audience, which people have really started to complain about lately.

I only ever seeen to buy DLC nowadays because at least that way I know I won't wind up wasting money on a game that is being added to Sony's subscriptions. If you really want to save on money, always focus on buying the ultimate edition on sale or just bide your time and wait for it to hopefully drop on the sub.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Zenless Zone Zero?

Honestly it's not too bad. You can even set the game to an easier difficulty to get through the story. On top of that the story chapters will usually let you play with pre-leveled "trial characters" which give you a nice taste of how the 5 star gacha characters play. Now if you want to do every bit of content that the game has at the moment then THAT'S when the grind will really start to hit and you'll notice just how often you're replaying stages and fighting the same enemies. If you just want to get through all the chapters out now it won't take you long but remember that these games are in it for the long haul so you probably won't get the satisfaction of an ending because they want to keep pumping out story over months if not years.

I'll give the game an eight mostly because you kill the same bosses and enemies and the stages are constantly being recycled ad nauseum for side quests and whatever. The characters are fun and great to use but once you've got a solid team built up you can really just mash square most of the time and get through everything fairly easily. Like, I'm level 40 now and the combat hasn't evolved much besides maybe the enemies attacking a bit quicker and having more health/resistance.

With everything being said, the world is truly a fun one. The music is great and the overall presentation is just superb. It feels like a believable world. Even the grind isn't too terrible. What annoys me is what always annoys me in Hoyo games, the relic grind...or disc drives in this game. I hate the utter RNG that makes it take days if not weeks to achieve your desired build and really reach your character's full potential.

Re: Re-Enactment Group Not Satisfied with Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Shadows Flag Apology

@RoomWithaMoose
While my main point that Ubisoft got their facts incorrect doesn't exactly hold water when they didn't claim it's historically accurate, there's still a point to be made that Ubisoft basically decided to use a flag without permission. A flag "which bears the personal heraldry of military leaders who fought at the Battle of Sekigahara" as stated in the article and slapped it on both concept/promotional art and an artbook that is available in a $280 collector's edition for the game. So this is more personal than just, say, putting an American flag up somewhere for a game about the civil war. This would closer to using a regimental flag, which is obviously more personal, and then using it to promote your video game without getting permission from the people to whom that flag is important. That's honestly where it seems like Ubisoft made a big misstep...almost like they just went on Google images and said "Ooh this one looks cool, let's use this." Instead of taking the time to do their research.

Again, it doesn't have to be to the tee factual..but I also never heard of people complain about ghost of tsushima. In fact, two devs that worked on the game were made permanent ambassadors of Tsushima Island. Just goes to show what putting the proper care and respect into your games gets you.

Re: Preview: Ignore The Haters, Concord Is a Good PS5 Shooter We Can't Wait to Play More Of

Do you always have to experience something yourself in order to tell that you don't like it? Do you have to put your hand on the stove first before warning people you're going to get burned?! I've watched someone stream this game and didn't come away impressed. It does absolutely nothing special to differentiate itself and the changes it does make are to its detriment.

But I'll go ahead and put my hand on the stove next week. Just so I won't have my opinion ignored... though I'm sure I'll still be criticized for it.

You're point was that everyone offering their armchair business expert opinions are doing so in bad faith to fuel console war ignorance correct? Then by you giving an opinion that is not grounded in fact or solid data, you are also adding fuel to this fire. The only difference is you are attempting to stand on a higher pedestal than others while doing it.
