At this point I want there to be a fully populated planets. Even if you can only visit a small section of them. I kind of just want to buy an apartment in a Bladerunner-esque world and chill after a long day of exploring the universe.
"Y-yes of course we won't have a battle pass! E-e-every future content update will be free of charge! We'll give you skins, cosmetics, everything! Single Player? U-uh...yes! Yes we'll work single player!! J-just please for the love of God buy our game!! Sony is going to tear us a new one of this flops!!!!"
@rjejr Yeah usually when you want to level up something or upgrade a skill the game will show you the "thing" you need. If you click in R3 it will tell you where you get it. Click that and it'll warp you to the location and even pick the correct monsters for you to fight. This is where you'll start needing to spend stamina, which replenishes slowly which is why people usually only focus on the 3 main people they want to use because otherwise it'll take way longer to make progress. Luckily a lot of the later story chapters just let you use trial characters that are pre leveled anyways so you don't have to worry too much if you just want to get through the story, which does pick up a bit by the end.
@thefourfoldroot1 The trailer is up on the official PlayStation YouTube channel too. I think Sony decided that they like money too much to continue with the extreme censorship policy. Especially with the success of Stellar Blade on the platform.
What I still want to know is if Ubisoft are still going to use those flags that they took without permission. Or is a "lol sorry you're upset but we want that money" going to be all they're getting?
@ChrisDeku I mean, if that's the case then why even greenlight a game that "non-chuds" won't even play? Who was this game for?? This just screams of a disconnect between Sony and their audience, which people have really started to complain about lately.
@jrt87 It is rather weird that their immediate reaction is to sexualize the non sexual and then turn around and point fingers at everyone else as if they're being the weird ones. Odds are that none of these people even saw the trailer and are just kneejerk reacting to anything anime.
@Waitinonpsvr2 I mean of course you do because we've glorified violence in the west. It's more natural to watch dudes being blown into bloody chunks than it is to see a naked foot, oh ye gods! Blasphemy!!
@Waitinonpsvr2 Let's add people that like shooters, gorey games, horror games and violent games in general to that list because they're obviously plotting something.
I only ever seeen to buy DLC nowadays because at least that way I know I won't wind up wasting money on a game that is being added to Sony's subscriptions. If you really want to save on money, always focus on buying the ultimate edition on sale or just bide your time and wait for it to hopefully drop on the sub.
I'm going to be blunt, the characters just look dumb. I found nobody to get attached to because everyone looks dumb. I don't want to play as a dumb looking character because I look dumb irl and I don't want to be reminded of that every time I play a video game.
@TheAmbienWalrus Honestly it's not too bad. You can even set the game to an easier difficulty to get through the story. On top of that the story chapters will usually let you play with pre-leveled "trial characters" which give you a nice taste of how the 5 star gacha characters play. Now if you want to do every bit of content that the game has at the moment then THAT'S when the grind will really start to hit and you'll notice just how often you're replaying stages and fighting the same enemies. If you just want to get through all the chapters out now it won't take you long but remember that these games are in it for the long haul so you probably won't get the satisfaction of an ending because they want to keep pumping out story over months if not years.
It's kinda weird...as a kid I always used to be forced to use mostly white dudes in games. Nowadays...I make mostly white people when I have access to character creation because that's what looks good to me despite me not being white myself. Would X say that I've been groomed?
I'll give the game an eight mostly because you kill the same bosses and enemies and the stages are constantly being recycled ad nauseum for side quests and whatever. The characters are fun and great to use but once you've got a solid team built up you can really just mash square most of the time and get through everything fairly easily. Like, I'm level 40 now and the combat hasn't evolved much besides maybe the enemies attacking a bit quicker and having more health/resistance.
With everything being said, the world is truly a fun one. The music is great and the overall presentation is just superb. It feels like a believable world. Even the grind isn't too terrible. What annoys me is what always annoys me in Hoyo games, the relic grind...or disc drives in this game. I hate the utter RNG that makes it take days if not weeks to achieve your desired build and really reach your character's full potential.
@RoomWithaMoose While my main point that Ubisoft got their facts incorrect doesn't exactly hold water when they didn't claim it's historically accurate, there's still a point to be made that Ubisoft basically decided to use a flag without permission. A flag "which bears the personal heraldry of military leaders who fought at the Battle of Sekigahara" as stated in the article and slapped it on both concept/promotional art and an artbook that is available in a $280 collector's edition for the game. So this is more personal than just, say, putting an American flag up somewhere for a game about the civil war. This would closer to using a regimental flag, which is obviously more personal, and then using it to promote your video game without getting permission from the people to whom that flag is important. That's honestly where it seems like Ubisoft made a big misstep...almost like they just went on Google images and said "Ooh this one looks cool, let's use this." Instead of taking the time to do their research.
Again, it doesn't have to be to the tee factual..but I also never heard of people complain about ghost of tsushima. In fact, two devs that worked on the game were made permanent ambassadors of Tsushima Island. Just goes to show what putting the proper care and respect into your games gets you.
@DennisReynolds You're right, I guess Ubisoft should continue to make a mockery of all the cultures it pretends to cherish and support , since they already have a track record of doing it anyway. Not like how Ghost of Tsushima had fantasy elements but still respected the land and the people that the game is based on. Nah that's just dumb.
You know for a company that believes in ethnic diversity and celebrating all cultures, Ubisoft sound like they didn't research the source material very well.
Do you always have to experience something yourself in order to tell that you don't like it? Do you have to put your hand on the stove first before warning people you're going to get burned?! I've watched someone stream this game and didn't come away impressed. It does absolutely nothing special to differentiate itself and the changes it does make are to its detriment.
But I'll go ahead and put my hand on the stove next week. Just so I won't have my opinion ignored... though I'm sure I'll still be criticized for it.
Not a terrible month. At least PS2 game ls are continuing to be slowly rolled out. Now if they can drop something a bit more expensive like Radiata Stories or Dragon Quest 8 I'd be a lot more impressed.
From the sound of thing I expect this to be dumped onto PlayStation extra or premium sooner rather than later. Probably would be a good investment in the long run to not actually pay for it.
The thing I appreciate the most is you can finish the dailies in 5 minutes. Some days you just might not have the time or energy to go through a mindless 30 minute grind session.
@KundaliniRising333 You're point was that everyone offering their armchair business expert opinions are doing so in bad faith to fuel console war ignorance correct? Then by you giving an opinion that is not grounded in fact or solid data, you are also adding fuel to this fire. The only difference is you are attempting to stand on a higher pedestal than others while doing it.
@KundaliniRising333 I don't understand how you can call everyone armchair business experts when, unless you work for the companies directly, you're no wiser than anyone about the inner workings of each company and are also offering an "armchair" take.
