I'd knock it down to a five but I also don't believe this is a terrible game. Just painfully mediocre. You can't afford to be mediocre when your competition is releasing bangers and some of them free. Setting all the discourse of the characters aside, the game just doesn't do enough to justify the price tag and it barely stands out from its competitors.

There are people that are attacking Concord and there are people that are defending Concord. Two distinctly different groups of people. They do have something in common though. They aren't playing Concord.

Something to pick up in maybe ten years time when it'll likely cost $100 and everyone is well into playing their PS6s.

I like to think the devs adamantly and stubbornly kept telling Sony that the people with criticism were just haters and bigots and a small portion of the potential audience for the game and that they'd be just fine come launch. I can't think of any other reason why they'd refuse to correct course in any way and just push the game out as is. What a disaster, I can't believe this was supposed to be Sony's big summer game. If there was something else to play from Sony this game would have just gotten ignored and likely developed a little community like destruction all stars but with them showcasing this front and center all it did was paint a bull's-eye for players frustration with Sony and their questionable decisions lately.

It matters because China is proving that you don't have to be scared and submit to X's demands when releasing a game. They are not and have never been the majority voice of gamers. Instead of lose money, you'll probably make a boatload of it!

Looks great and were those...cars? The Sims 4 made me think driving vehicles was absolutely impossible!!

I guess the rumors going on within Capcom were true. They've got their hands in Dead Rising and now this. Ultimately this change isn't a big deal but I'm sure they won't be satisfied JUST changing these things in the games they touch.

I actually never really had a problem solo-ing most monsters but if it means drawing less aggro and killing them faster, I think it's a good addition.

Read that it's another souls-like and that made it a hard pass for me. I'm surprised people aren't getting burnt out by that style of game yet.

He forgot to add the words "stinky" "poopy" and "meanies".

Finally a Civ for PS5. Unfortunately it'll feel like a step back, like each new civ usually does, until they drop some expansions to round out the experience.

What messages were those games trying to send? I never once felt like I was being preached to while playing them.

@naruball Let's just ignore the biggest moneymakers in the industry like Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail and soon to be ZZZ.

Gotta hand it to China, they know how to make good games. Probably because they focus on actually making them fun rather than using them as a platform to send a message.

I really want to play more of these games but whenever I turn on my PS5 I just wind up booting up Rimworld(where's biotech, cowards!?)

Civ 7, absolutely. Civ 6 was one of those games I always have installed because it's just something comfortable I can go back to. Hoping that 7 continues to make improvements.

Sony has been pretty arrogant in their pricing this gen. I've never been a fan of "well-fed" Sony, we need "hungry" Sony from the start of the PS4 gen back.

Nah these big shows don't do it for me anymore, I find myself playing mostly indies and smaller games nowadays. Surprisingly the games China & South Korea have been pushing out have been more interesting to me as well. I really do hope that there's another game crash that affects all the big AAA Corpos. Then I hope all the employees join various smaller studios so they continue to earn a living. Allowing these studios to swallow up more and more of themselves was the biggest downfall in gaming yet.

There's a novelty to it I guess but realistically you can play these games almost anywhere without the need to stream nowadays. Heck you can even open a browser and play them that way.

A truly excellent month.

I think the bitterness is amplified because Sony seems to be trying to push this as THE big summer game. If there was something else to play coming out around this time people would probably just ignore it but the fact that this looks like the only thing coming out in the immediate future people's anger is amplified. People are already wary about this "Live service future" Sony seems to be going all in on, they don't want the games to be terrible as well.

I wonder if they'll rework Frank's personality from a perverted sleazeball too. He was never really a good guy, just a degenerate like most of the rest of the mall. Frank himself liked erotica, he was kind of a scumbag. I want them to keep that. He wasn't perfect and he was kind of a loser and a creep but at least he wasn't a cookie cutter dime a dozen hero whose entire personality was making sure he didn't offend as many people as possible.

There's people that hate the gameplay of the mechanics so they're offering criticism.

Then there's the people that hate the characters and the more superficial stuff that are attacking the game.

Then there's the people that hate the people that dislike the characters but they're lumping in everyone that has valid criticism in with the "haters". It's how it always goes. If you hate this game you're just a bigot, or something.

People are free to voice criticism just as you are free to ignore it. A healthy market is one that doesn't purchase every bit of garbage fed to them.

Looks like Turok but we'll see if they took inspiration or simply copied it.

I'm just happy to see people are starting to see the argument I've been making for years now. Sex is bad but extreme gore and violence is ok? Oh well, people will vote with their wallets if this truly matters to them.

I'm honestly more surprised they keep supporting Suicide Squad. They should really know when to pull the plug.

I can't wait for this game to come out so we can forget it exists and stop talking about it.

Persona 3 remake takes all the advancements made by the newer games and implements everything well, even including a few new things as well. You'll more than likely love the remake, especially if it'll be your first time experiencing P3 as it had the best story of all the Personas in my opinion.

The TV parts are honestly very fun puzzles usually, not sure why anyone would want to skip it...

The good news is that once you figure Civ out you'll have a basic idea how to play most 4X games that have a similar style.

Those games seem like the go-to whenever PlayStation is thinking about what "family friendly" title to add.

Be aware that Ubisoft flew a bunch of influencers out to LA to try out the game, so if you're seeing a lot of positive buzz that might be something to keep in mind. If you're ready for Far Cry in space then by all means but let's not pretend this game isn't going to be another checklist simulator.

I've already looked up some leaks revealing the next character's elements and roles and I'm not really seeing anyone I want or need there. Guess I can keep trying to get Zhu Yuan.

Could be fun. I've warmed up to Free to play over the years. Still waiting for P6 though.

The fastest way to make me lose interest in a game is when ab article says it has "souls-like" combat.

While playing Tears of the kingdom I desperately wanted Link to say something, anything. Especially at the end of the game. Instead he just stares like he has no clue what's going on.

I do think this art style works better for the game...but I'm still not interested in the world or characters.

They've got 2 juggernauts, likely 3 with ZZZ so they're probably swimming in cash.
