I can't even open the PlayStation app. It keeps crashing.

Looks like another action game roleplaying as an RPG. Didn't they try that with Dragon Age 2? Oh well, that and the characters are turning me away from this one.

How closely does this compare to Black Desert Online? It sounds very similar from what I read here. Honestly that game needed a kick in the butt, thinking they can just release a single character and a bunch of cosmetics and call that content.

Shame. All they'll interpret this as is "Well, I guess people don't want prince of Persia."

What better way to brand every new call of duty entry as overpriced DLC?

He's the only other main character I actually remember from the game. I've seriously forgotten almost the entire cast again. He just had a presence and an unmistakable voice...

A lot of this tends to come down to people picking a weapon or loadout that they either got comfortable with or picked specifically because its broken and then getting angry when they are forced to change their play style and learn something new.

Personally I'd fix this by not rebalancing any weapons and instead having less used weapons give bonus exp or something rewarding like this. The things you're using might be weaker than the meta but you will still be rewarded for playing with other things besides the broken combinations.

Every time I read angry comments it always makes it seem like the devs are cackling, purposefully nerfing the thing YOU enjoy to make you SUFFER.

It's also funny how people were parading this game about as their "anti-DEI champion" only to turn around and snap of it's head...over nerfs. Really vitriolic.

I still really miss the way Vita did things. It was always a pleasant surprise receiving a comment from a friend for something I had accomplished. Felt a lot more like you were playing with a community rather than everyone in their own little bubbles.

The new meta is not to release free to play but "day 1" on subscription services.

This'll be the ultimate test of "people just don't want this kind of game anymore." If this succeeds where Concord flopped then it should paint a pretty clear picture exactly WHY Concord flopped.

I didn't even know San Andreas was back on plus. It already left once before.

I'm looking forward to that sweet spot when GTA 6 releases and the multiplayer isn't implemented yet. GTA 5 was incredible when it first came out. Now I can't even look at it because all I think about how much I despite online.

It really does seem like a game that would earn Capcom bank and probably even revive the franchise for them. Surprised why they just won't bring this one back despite what seems like massive fan demand. Heck even non fans seen interested. Horror dino game? Why the heck not?

Really enjoyed Two Point Hospital and happy to see I'll get to play Campus next.

It's kind of like people enjoy fun games and not just "cinematic experiences".

But this is fine.

It's not only the ho hum gameplay but the characters themselves that people have a problem with. Sure they can just tweak some settings with a bit of work, speed people up, rebalance things etc...but going back and overhauling the characters themselves?

I really hope Sony still isn't listening to them and hoping it was just a fluke the first go around or Concord will have the distinct PlayStation honor of getting shut down twice.

I guess the only time I do find constant blabbing to be annoying is when someone starts repeating the same thing, like when Alloy would say "I'll need this for later" or whatever almost every time she picked something off the ground. Luckily they did wind up patching that out.

I don't get why people hate it so much. As games go closer into the realm of realism it makes sense that people are going to talk more. People talk all the time, everywhere. Just look at us, unable to stfu in the comments. If you're going to get attacked obviously your son is going to scream at you to watch out. Maybe the puzzle hints I can see being annoying but it also felt nice when the characters would compliment you for figuring it out quickly.

Those few people still playing must be spending thousands and thousands...

I think what he meant to say is that they make the most money. The problem is, every individual player only has so much time. If they are busy with one live service, they won't have time to focus on another. I don't understand how all these publishers expect us to play all these never ending games.

Honestly, who even cares about this game? The real Assassin's Creed Shadows will be Ghost of Yotei.

Don't sleep on WWE 2K. Even if you have no interest in actually playing it, some fun can be had downloading custom characters and having the AI duke it out. There's nothing quite like seeing John Wick take on Spider-Man or Kratos.

Yeah I remember getting an email from Sony with a link that only went active once early pre-orders were live. I had no struggle getting a PS5 because of that.

I'm cautiously optimistic. While the games definitely have a lot of action and are serious, there are also plenty of lighthearted and even wacky moments too. I'm hoping it's not a gritty and dark story throughout.

If you're getting it for your kid just make sure you don't get it confused with Nikke!

Same thing as boneheads announcing every emulator site on X and wondering why they get shut down.

I think the difference is that they don't go out of their way to cry and complain on social media until it is censored for EVERYONE around the world. We do have a habit of thinking that our way is always the right way.

This could work. Just copy how monster hunter does it and it should be a serviceable game that people will want to sink time into.

When CoD releases that'll be the final nail in the coffin, too.

A lot of people did, the game was a runaway success. It's kind of funny seeing a crowd of people enjoying something and then one guy in the fringes shouting "perverts!" as if anyone can hear him.

The thing is, games like this actually sell. While games like Dustborn don't. If you want to see real and tangible change, then you have to be willing to drop cash like all the people who love boobs and butts always do.

Would prefer a new experience instead of more endless remasters, so I won't be spending money on this. Instead of playing the same games over and over I'll try out something I've never played before and maybe find a new favorite.

We'll have to see because their big Star Wars game (a property that usually doesn't need help to push units) really underperformed for them. That and people are really starting to get fatigued with the "Ubisoft formula" along with them getting dunked on for various things lately... it's hard to say if they really will see their usual success.

When I saw Ghost 2 I failed to really think about what the implications of this game existing would mean. Ubisoft is absolutely screwed. They were really banking on Shadows to do well but now? Just from the few shots we got alone, Yotei appears to be on an absolute different level. I'm not sure how much longer Ubisoft can keep taking hits like this.

Hopefully Microsoft don't swoop in to purchase them in the end.

Frostpunk is the sort of game you can play even if you don't like city builders. My problem with the genre is that there usually isn't an end goal besides "make big city" whereas Frostpunk has a loose narrative that keeps you going. Apart from that you simply want to see how long you can survive and how low you have to sink to get there. I have yet to play the sequel but I'm really hoping for more of the same...but better.

Normally I set time aside to watch these but honestly I might just skip it.

I've noticed people getting upset with digital and with games being taken away from you. Oh I expect it to be much worse than that. Not only will games go all digital, they will also be streaming only. Subscriptions for everything. Ps premium and extra are already normalizing it. I can see that being the future that Sony and Microsoft (via Gamepass) are chasing.

I'm sure in a few years it'll be as weird to buy a game physically as it would be to say "Hey let's go to the video store and buy a movie to watch" instead of just logging into Netflix. Sure there are still some people that will always want to go that route...but they will be increasingly more niche. I'm not celebrating it, I'm just accepting it.
