Re: Poll: Did You Buy a PS5 Pro?

AhmadSumadi

Went to Walmart this morning to pick one up. App says it's in stock at the store. I get to the store and the employee is on a personal call. I ask him if they have PS5 Pro. He says yes, but I have to buy it online. I tell him that the app says it's available in store. He says yes, but it has to be purchased online.

I stand there, purchase it online, they take my money. But now I have to wait till 1 PM (4 hours from time of purchase) until I can pick it up. What kind of nonsense is that?!

Re: Metacritic Responds to Ongoing Dragon Age: The Veilguard Review Bombing Campaign

AhmadSumadi

@ThaBEN "Review bombing is not a problem, it's a symptom.

No way you believe this nonsense! How is being angry that a game doesn't appeal to you, therefore you give it a 0 score without even playing it, considered logical to you?! It's a pitiful act by an even more pitiful group!

Do you know how much of media (games, films, etc.) I wanted to consume but didn't appeal to me so I just skipped it? I didn't go online "bombing" said games/film because there are things in it I don't like. It's easy enough to skip it. But anyway, if these people have this much time and energy to put into something they apparently don't wanna partake in, then more power to'em. Doesn't make much sense to me though. Juvenile behavior!

It’s so funny how this lot are so thin-skinned. The same ones who love to call others “snowflakes”. Like, the “other side” didn’t like how Stellar Blade oversexualized its female lead but that game still has a 9.2 user score on metacritic. They didn’t go out of their way to review bomb the game. Meanwhile, the “anti-woke” mob latched on to every game they deem “woke” and makes it their life’s mission to give these games 0 score reviews. Seek help!

@Weebleman I would call it the “Netflixification” of gaming. I’ve always been against it.

Remember when only Netflix existed and it was cool to have a streaming platform? Would get all these shows for $7.99 a month and we dropped cable. Here we are now paying roughly the same (or more) to have all streaming platforms. In the end, we didn’t save any money.

I expect all the big devs (EA, Blizzard, Ubi, etc.) to release their own streaming platform at some point. Then we’ll have to pay upwards of $80 monthly to try to play all the games we wanna play. And not ever own any of them. Just not a good model.

Re: Assassin's Creed Boss Says Series Is Inherently Diverse, Just Like History

AhmadSumadi

The way almost everything now that's helmed by a minority (racial or gender) is perceived is crazy to me! Like, imagine if Ripley from Alien would've been released in 2021 or so? They'd have torn that film apart! Much like the discourse around the latest Alien film was about the female lead besting aliens.

I'm always amazed how some of the arguments play out. Like, no one bats an eye when Nathan Drake can dispatch an entire army by himself. But the moment they release Uncharted: Lost Legacy, the conversation pops up about Chloe and Nadine being able to do the same. In reality, neither is likely a possibility. But I guess a man is more likely to be able to take out an entire army singlehandedly.

To speak on AC. Yasuke is really the only gripe people have here. Nothing about him hasn't been done in prior AC games. There've been leads "out of place" before. But, as I've stated in previous posts about this game. It's always easier to see non-Black leads out of place than the opposite. No one will complain when a Black guy is a gangster or some slick-talking wheeler & dealer. But make him a Samurai and it's questionable.

Re: More People Are Playing the Original Horizon Zero Dawn Than Its Remaster on PC

AhmadSumadi

@dskatter as I said earlier, the “resources” argument is so asinine! It’s like they believe 2 things can’t be done at once. Like they believe game companies only work on a single game at a time. There’re literally teams within developers who work on many different things. Also, the ones so gleeful about this seem to ignore the fact that the studio that worked on this only does remasters.

Re: Dragon Age: The Veilguard Comes Out Swinging, Already EA's Biggest Single Player Game on Steam

AhmadSumadi

It’s crazy how these games will always have comments more from people who hate them and will never play them than people who will play them.

There was a vocal crowd around Steller Blade, but they didn’t go nuts over the game like the “anti-wokes” got at something like this. Even make up instances of bias toward the thing they want to fail. Stop being so pitiful da*n 🤣

Re: PS5 Pro Packaging Flaunts Its Disc-Free Nature

@LifeGirl but you’re correct. Developers see it, manufacturers see it, and gamers themselves see it. The ones who are pushing back have every right to. But I don’t think their voices are numerous enough to stave off what’s obviously coming.

Re: Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered (PS5) - A Sublime Remaster of a Modern PlayStation Classic

AhmadSumadi

@rusty82 I guess it’s how you look at it. If a 10 is a “perfect score” and the game is “not perfect” then don’t give it a 10. But again, perspective. Like, The Witcher 3 is my favorite game but it’s a 9/10 for me. And lord knows that thing’s got some bugs. Horizon: Zero Dawn isn’t The Witcher 3. So that’s why I deem it an 8 and not a 9. A 6 or 7 would be… Star Wars: Outlaws.

Re: Dragon Age: The Veilguard (PS5) - The Best BioWare Game Since Mass Effect 3

AhmadSumadi

@TooManyBrownies gave Veilgaurd a 1/10 rating LMAO! How bro?! You haven't even played it! Then when people call you out for being too overly emotional about this one you have the nerve to give'em the old "Nuh uuh!!!"

You can make your argument without carry on the way you are. Not every game that's made will appeal to you. There's no reason to get upset when others like or will like a game that you're not interested in.
