Re: Reaction: You Said You Were Sick of PS5's Sad Dad Sims, So You Better Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is

What the author doesn't realize is it's not the games we love. It's the ability to complain. We never said we want different games. We were just wanting to complain about the current games. We'll continue complaining when the new ones arrive lol.

Anyway, I'm likely not getting either of these. As much as I love Horizon and Aloy, I really dislike LEGO games. Also, my backlog consists of Prince Of Persia, Dragon's Dogma II, God Of War: Ragnarok, Contra, Streets of Rage, etc. as well as my 10-years-long love affair with Elder Scrolls Online. Say to say I'm good as far as gaming goes. I really do hopes these games get snatched up by the ones who've been clamouring for something different though.

Re: PS5 Fans Beg Sony for a More Fulfilling Livestream in the Aftermath of Xbox Show

@Ergoshotz for sure. As a user who’s been on this site for years, I’ve seen people upset about Sony only releasing AAA cinematic games. Now Sony’s releasing an assortment of 3rd party games in many different genres and now other people are upset. Seems just like politics the way you can never please the entire base all the time.

As for me, I like what I like. When nothing is releasing that I wanna play I just the games I like that I’ve yet to play. I know all games won’t be for me and I respect that. Wish more people would do this.

Re: Feature: Revisiting PlayStation Showcase 2023, an Event Sony Must Improve Upon

AhmadSumadi

As a gamer now for 35+ years I must say, I’ve only watched a single “game show” and that’s the last E3 Sony did. I’ve never concerned myself with this stuff. I just play games. Some games I play are the ones that people get hyped for (i.e. God Of War, Uncharted), and some are less popular. Sitting around waiting for those shows to impress you will ruin your gaming hobby. There’s always something fun out there to play but most are waiting for the AAA game makers to whet their palette. It’s not ever gonna be fun for you if this is how you do it.

Re: PS Portal Still Going Strong, Demand in USA Exceeds Supply

@NEStalgia you’re full of 💩! You have 0 reference to put some foolishness like this out there. MS has never been crapped all over by the gaming press. But MS is also consistently in last place each generation and therefore gets the least coverage. When you’re 3rd in a 3-man race you shouldn’t expect to get the same recognition as those who are ahead of you. That’s how it works in every walk of life.

Re: PS Portal Still Going Strong, Demand in USA Exceeds Supply

@LifeGirl so when people are calling others names and telling them they’re stupid or “paid off by Sony” because they’re enjoying their Portal. That’s not anger and ridiculousness? Hell, even in this thread there are people accusing others of being paid by Sony because they enjoy their Portal. Or do you not read those comments on purpose?

Re: Stellar Blade PS5 Dev Thanks Fans for 'Passion' Following Censorship Controversy

AhmadSumadi

@MikeOrator when you see the response to this. And how Stellar Blade has the highest user score of any PS game. It’s easy to see who the people are who get caught up in the “culture wars” they complain about. When a game like Horizon: Forbidden West doesn’t have a half baked beauty queen as the female lead, they go online and trash the game’s user scores. Then they get the near naked, robotic beauty queen and they hail it as the best game ever.

Oddly enough, the people who can play Horizon: Forbidden West and Stellar Blade and not turn the games into political statements, don’t get online to flood user scores to fit their agenda. It’s just the weirdest thing to prioritize.

Re: Stellar Blade (PS5) - A Stellar PS5 Debut Destined to Become a Fan Favourite

@AfroMario I don’t understand the whole “I need to relate to the character” thing. Like, I’m a 42-year-old Black guy who works in finance. I don’t need a game character to be any of those things. I don’t even need the character to be male. I mean, when I get a chance to make a character it’s often an Orc (If it’s a choice) or a female if the choices are only human.

People are too tied up in identity nowadays and that’s what leads to this. Most of the arguments I’ve seen about Stellar Blade is either people mad she’s near-nude. Or people praising that she is. Both are really weird arguments. Like, if you don’t like that she’s near-nude then don’t play. And if you’re exicited about it then you have more serious issues than just covered up game characters.
