Wow. Some of you take these things so personally. It's crazy! Let me put it this way. Ultimately, if you love/hate this game/director or whatever. Just either don't buy it for shell out your cash for it. Some seem genuinely hurt that someone else either likes, or doesn't like, this game that none of them have ever played. HOW?!

I may pick his up eventually. The demo was OK and stylish. I just have other, better games to play at the moment.

I intend to get this game and become fully engrossed in it. But I will neither pay for, nor complain about, all the extra stuff Ubisoft wants people to buy.

Between my son’s PSN and mine, we rack up points by linking each other’s accounts to our consoles. I was able to buy Jedi: Survivor on sale from just PS Stars alone. I don’t really bother with the collectibles but my kid loves them.

There has never been a month that didn’t disappoint the masses. Unless its a “free” day 1 AAA release, people will always be disappointed.

@Fiendish-Beaver what a great post! Quite often people will praise something they know little about because they know so little about it. It’s not just the games that lead people to consoles. It’s always the price and upkeep. I’ll admit I love games on PC but hate the controls and the constant need to put money into the machines to keep up with everybody else. Consoles offer a “set it and forget it” approach for a 1/3 of the price.

If PS fans were pissed off at PS exclusives going to PC after 2 years, I can’t imagine how XBOX fans feel.

@AldusRavencorn you’re talking ESO and Division 2?! Seems we have a very similar taste in gaming. Sadly, I left Division when they decided to not upgrade to a PS5 version.

I was a day one player and don’t think I’ve missed a day in the past 7 years. I once called this the most boring game I’ve ever played. Now it’s the one constant in my daily gaming routine. Loving every minute! Congrats ESO!

It's so weird how people are into this because the girl is near naked. Like, how little do you see a real naked woman in real life that this excites you so much?

@theSpectre I'll tell you something. I hated Elder Scrolls games so much at one point. Like, despised them and found them to be so boring. Bought Skyrim 5 times before I like started to like it. Now, 10 years in, I play Elder Scrolls Online daily. And even that game I once called "The most boring game I've ever played".

Best this won't be exclusive to XBOX. Why'd they even buy the thing? I guess to make money off it.

@NotSoCryptic Horizon: Forbidden West was released 2 years ago. It’s always been a 2 year release from PlayStation to PC. You consider a 2-year-old game a “recent title”?

Playing through it now on PS5. Love this series! It’s great. Just not the best in the genre. And always overshadowed by something similar and broader reaching at time of release.

Almost every game I play has microtransactions. I’ve yet to pay for a single one of them and am able to enjoy the games just fine. Cut it out! They’re optional and you don’t have to purchase them if you don’t want to! Nothing’s being “forced down your throat”.

Oh yeah! Can’t wait to play this! I’m always against having a backlog but with this, Ragnarok, Horizon: Forbidden West, Prince of Persia, and Helldivers. It’s safe to say I have a backlog!

Can I loot dead NPCs who are killed by others?

@Splat for sure! I just tried to play Elder Scrolls Online and couldn't. But guess what? Booted up Horizon: Forbidden West and no problem playing at all.

At one point I considered Dragon’s Dogma one of my top 5 games ever. Have always wanted a sequel. Finally, it’s here! Now, Dark Cloud 3, anyone?!

I usually “Add to collection”. But I know I’ll never play a single one of these.

Looking forward to playing this one! I remember Neo Contra was so hard and you had to play it dam near perfect in order to get the actual ending. I resorted to playing solo due to never finding someone dedicated enough to be a try hard like I am.

@Optimus I agree. But let’s be honest here, the complaining about this game is far less “noisy” than folks who called for boycotts of games like TLOU2 and Spidey 2.

The hilarity and obnoxiousness of the people how are only excited for this because the girl is half naked, outpaces the obnoxiousness of people who want the woman to be covered up.

It also strikes me as odd that the people I know who argue against things like racial minorities in medieval-themed fantasy games due to lack of “realness”, are also the ones who are going crazy over seeing a woman sword fight while wearing nothing but a rubber band a piece of yarn. 🤷🏾‍♂️

How can the PlayStation player base concurrently gripe about key PS exclusives going to PC, and agree with Layden that big budget exclusives can’t survive if they stay exclusive?

@AdamNovice people are reactionary, that’s all. They hate Jim Ryan so they selectively remember Layden’s “greatness”.

Exclusivity sells consoles! Exclusivity is paramount to any brand and there’s no question about it. How about you just don’t make games that cost 200 million dollars? Gamers will play good games that aren’t major productions.

Horizon: Zero Dawn and Horizon: Forbidden West are both great games with huge fanbases! Why do people believe if they don’t like something it means the rest of the world feels the same?

So can I have fun playing Final Fantasy now that it’s no longer turn-based? It is no longer turn-based, correct?

@breakneck it was highly recommended to me as well. Played for a bit then got incredibly bored.

@DrVenture69 I wanna finish Horizon: Forbidden West, GoW: Ragnarok, and Jedi Survivor before Dragon’s Dogma 2 releases. Figured I’ll just run through Horizon: Forbidden West. WRONG! I’m 126 hours in and only 17% complete lol. I need to explore every nook and cranny.

@DrVenture69 I’m always puzzled by some games being given the “this long to complete” tag. This game is full of places to explore and things to do outside the main story. If you finish it in 16 hours it’s because you decided to skip all the extra stuff.

I mean, I fished Skyrim story in 1 day. But I’d done all the side stuff before even doing the 3rd main quest. Played the game for over 300 hours. Anyway, I never ding a game for short main story when there’s so much to do outside the main story.

@KillerBoy you know there’s 1000 other games that aren’t live service games, right? Like, if there’s nothing you don’t like on PlayStation then maybe just move on. It’s 100% to avoid liver service games if you don’t like them. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Want it but don’t need it. As Dogma 1 is one of my all time favorite games, I know I’m day 1 on this.

All companies need to do away with exclusivity. I wanna see Ford Camrys and Toyota Silverados. Also, put MacOS on PCs and vice versa. Make it easier for everyone 🙄

But “everything” isn’t a survival game. You’re all just complaining about survival games being survival games.

I wanted to love Greedfall seeing as how I’ve loved other games from Spiders. But the controllers felt so wonky that it put me off. Maybe I’ll revisit it.

This is exciting! My son and I liked the 1st game but grew tired of the top down view. 3rd person shooter is right up my alley! Definitely wanna pick this one up!

I hate Spider-Man. I also love all other other games that are mentioned here. But I'll just focus my hatred for Spider-Man right now. Because only my opinion matters when it comes to Spider-Man. Anyway, if you've read this congrats. You beat the mods to the punch lol.

Eh. I’m a PS fan, not a Sony fan. Never been a Microsoft or XBOX fan. As long as I can play my games (God Of War, Uncharted, etc.) on any console I’ll rock with that console. That being said, the only thing I look forward to if things go how some are expecting is the comments in various website’s comments sections.
