@Kelrics90 Sony just released a new IP that crashed and burned so badly that it’s the stuff of legend. There was also a mew game that’s not a GaaS recently (Astro Bot). It’s not like Sony can’t walk and chew gum at the same time.

Easy response to this. I have no interest in it! Played and platinum’d both games. But, for those who’ve not played the series. Great time to jump in!

@LikelySatan I didn’t get past about an hour of 2. Despise that game! I may revisit it if they re-release it though.

@Paramahansa yes! She was so in mine. I actually went with Cassandra, Sera, and Viviene. They were like my Charlie’s Angels lol.

One of my all time favorite video games and includes my very favorite female video game character, Cassandra Pentaghast. I hope this next installment can live up to what I’m expecting from it. Don’t let me down like Dragon Age 2 did!

@Gremio108 the great thing about PS5 Pro is that it’s totally optional. Like, you won’t miss out on anything if you already have a PS5. I think Sony should put this fact in the ads as well. Because it seems like people don’t know this.

He’s right though. For me, it’s a lot. But for what you’re getting, it isn’t. I may get one only because I’ll be able to sell my PS5 easily and won’t be buying a disc drive.

Who cares though?! Like, I played the hell out of Diablo IV and never paid a cent! It’s purely optional and those who choose to not participate don’t have to. If someone wants to pay 99¢ for some clothes then that’s on them. If they wanna put $9.99 up for a mount then that’s their choice! I don’t like micro transactions so I just do engage in them. 🤷🏾‍♂️

10/10 for me! This is the first once I’ve played almost all the games. Save for Warhammer.

PC gaming is the best! If mouse & keyboard didn’t give me Carpal Tunnel, I’d be a PC gamer.

@Almost_Ghostly I get you. But although that $16 isn’t much, it’s something. As it stands when it comes to the changes, Stars will become kind of worthless to me. My opinion. I mean, in that 12 month period there will be nothing I’d want from Stars. Virtual collectibles mean nothing to me. Again, just my opinion.

@Almost_Ghostly do you not know of all the impending changes? Like, we can no longer earn Stars from our subscriptions? I get 150 Stars per month for my ESO+ and then whatever PS+ Premium gets me. They’re taking that away.

Also, Stars will it expire after a short while. So, for someone like me, who saves Stars for $5 and $20 store credit, I’ll either have to use my Stars for useless trinkets or lose them altogether. They’re taking away almost all the benefits.

See, Blacks in GTA isn’t “woke”. That’s where they’re supposed to be. But Blacks in Feudal Japan?! What’s woke turned (Oh, sorry. “Turnt”) up to 1000! Forget that Yasuke supposedly really existed. Forget that his race isn’t even a factor in the game at all. He’s Black and he’s stepping out of his station!

At first I wasn’t gonna get this. But then I remember how easy it was to tell my PS4 after I bought a PS4 Pro.

I used to always be a Resolution guy. But when I got a PS4 Pro and played Horizon: Zero Dawn for the first time in Performance Mode it completely changed the way I play games.

Elder Scrolls Online = day 1 buy!

I’m sold on it. But, for that price, it’s not sold TO me.

I’d get it without the disc. Last disc I bought was Madden 12.

I’ll be honest, if I didn’t ask my wife for a 90” TV for Christmas, this is what I’d want instead. But it’s wiser to get the right TV first.

It’s just the price. Way too much right now! If you’re a normal person and fiscally responsible this is not for us.

This is next level “first world problems” lmao. Is this really a thing? Like, there’re a ton of characters that didn’t show up. Crazy to gripe about something you don’t have instead of celebrating the things you do have.

@WiccanMagick75 as an avid fan of The Division I’ll say that Outlaws doesn’t compare to it in neither action nor cover. See, Division is purely a cover shooter. Full on action. Outlaws is very stealthy and the point it often to avoid action. No real “cover” system but instead it’s a “hide” system.

In Division, you’ll crouch into cover and “snap to” the object you’re using for cover. Outlaws, you crouch behind cover but are still freely moving about. No “snap to” like Division. They’re in 2 different genres to be honest.

Seems like the only flavor anyone around here knows is BITTER!

The diversified genre portfolio is what brought me to PS and away from Nintendo. You can find a top-notch, classic game in every genre when you’re a PlayStation gamer. I’m glad this is important to the folks at the top.

@NoobSeibot ever since The Last Jedi that’s been the attitude surrounding Star Wars. Anything that gets announced is automatically written off before people even view/play it. You can tell it’s more than just thinking it’s not good when after something gets canceled or reviewed poorly that there’s a collective self-congratulation from the corner of the Internet that invests in bashing the Star Wars media.

@Anke see, I actually think insta-fail stealth makes sense. Just in general. Like, if you’re sneaking into a government facility, you’re not gonna get caught, mow down a few sodilers after the alarms sounded, then they’ll stop looking for you after a few minutes. You should have to make it clearly through without being seen or caught. But that’s just me… 🤷🏾‍♂️

A 7. It’s a “good game”. And that’s coming from someone who’s playing it and enjoying. I made my decision from actually playing it.

Well, whaddya know! It’s like while Sony was making games as a service, they were also making what potentially can be “one of the greatest (single player) platformers of all time”. Unbelievable that they’re capable of doing two things at once. 😱

A couple of days ago, the sky was falling. Now everybody’s in good spirits. I really wish the people around here weren’t so reactionary.

They have more than enough. And they need to revive some dead ones. Jak, Sly, DARK CLOUD ESPECIALLY!!!! Most Sony IPs are so storied! God Of War, TLOU, Uncharted, etc. Again, there are more than enough.

Let’s see where sales go. This is a chance for those certain people to put their money there their mouths are.

I started Outlaws yesterday and it’s been good so far. I was thinking of waiting for a price decrease though.

@Jayofmaya similarly, I’d skip a game if I deemed the platinum trophy unattainable. Even though the things are practically worthless.

So, I was just looking into this and it turns out this isn’t the first time a game like this has flopped so hard. Why’s everyone acting like this is unprecedented?

@Dalejrfanfreak I swear, some of you clowns find a way to blame “wokeness” and “DEI” for everything bad in the world. What did wokeness do to cause Concord to fail? What did wokeness do to cause God Of War: Ragnarok to be uber successful but not as successful as the first game?!

Honestly, you types give yourselves far too much credit. No one gives a 💩 about your crying. Every game you named is a massive success and you think wokeness caused them to fail. Get over yourself!

Some people are addicted to trophy hunting. It’s kinda why Sony ended the platinum trophy rewards program back in the day. Dudes were playing games like Barbie just to get a platinum trophy for the bonus.

Just started Star Wars Outlaws. Will likely drop temporarily it when this releases.

For many, it’s hard to spend $60 on a game like this. The God Of Wars, Halos, Uncharteds, etc. will always fly off the shelves. But a niche game like this, or a new IP with a mediocre review score will struggle to sell.

And I honestly thought I hadn’t spent much on gaming this year. But I’ll consider myself an astute spenders seeing as how I game share with my son and only have to buy any of these games once. Still…
