@GamingFan4Lyf I believe “Sony is winning” means Sony is winning the video game war against Mircosoft. PlayStation fans aren’t necessarily Sony fans. XBOX fans aren’t necessarily Microsoft fans. While what you’ve stated is absolutely true. No one sees PS5 outdoing XBOX as Sony being more valuable than Microsoft.

Mr. Phil “Talks in circles” Spencer is essentially killing the XBOX brand. I’ve been saying it since they started with the “Netflixing” of games; this will essentially kill off the console, or the result in every developer creating their own streaming platform that we have to pay monthly for in order to play their games. Exactly what happened to TV!

So the US government doesn’t realize that when companies merge or buy out that there will be layoffs due to overlap and redundancy? At this point I feel like our government clocks in from their cell phones while on a beach in the Caribbean.

It’s kinda weird to me that so many are focused on the main character being attractive. I dunno, the game looks awesome b it seems to come second to how the girl looks.

I’ve never owned an XBOX. Guess I’ve never been too interested in XBOX games. Don’t think this will change anything.

Edit: Well, to be more honest. I’ve always been interested in Forza, Fable, and Gears. But I’ve never been interested in owning more than 1 console. Maybe this is how I finally play those games.

I avoid first person games for that reason alone. It’s my least liked gaming category.

@NoHope yup! Back in 2008 when Chase Bank bought Washington Mutual, I was let go after training who didn’t realize was to be my replacement. Still kinda stings to this day.

@playstation1995 it’s not about money. It’s about necessity. After the merger they don’t need 2 “Game Tester #6” so they let the incoming person go. Yeah it sucks. But this is what’s happening here.

@get2sammyb yes! Some games just deserve a good replay when it gets an update. For example, I platinum’d The Witcher 3 four times in PS4. Then did so a 5th time after the PS5 update. When I get around to it there will be a 6th lol.

For all the haters of fast travel. The beauty of it is that it’s an option. If you don’t like it then don’t use it. I’m a player who always has to unlock every nook and cranny of a game. However, after I’ve done so, I like having the option to quickly bounce from one point to the next. Why would you wanna have to travel by horse from California to Maine every time you need to go from California to Maine?!

I play ESO more than any other game. Been doing so for 10 years now. I’m really looking forward to this!

Played the demo and absolutely loved it! But, I just bought Jedi: Survivor and am currently playing through Horizon: Forbidden West (amazing by the way!). Do think I’ll play PoP eventually though.

@OmegaStriver I think so too. But it would be interesting to see how fans of the show who’ve not played the game react to the way it happens if they stay true to the source material.

Can’t miss with ND! Would revisit this if they’d added what is my all time favorite multiplayer. Alas, I hope new players flock to it and realize the gem that it is!

I love this Stars stuff! Ended up with $35 worth of Stars just in time for the $35 sale on Jedi: Survivor. Basically got an awesome game just by playing other awesome games!

Not every installment of something has to be juxtaposed to something like it or similar. Not everything new thing you don’t like is the harbinger of death to the industry. Good god!

Edit: Just played the demo. Man, I’m about to get so lost in this game trying to explore every nook and cranny! Also, love the 2D combat and art style! Don’t like how I can’t map O to be dodge. It only feels natural.

Japan is very much mobile gaming. Whether it’s Switch or phone. Portal may boost Sony a bit if it catches on.

Also, may be the only gamer I know who doesn’t care about which studio/company/publisher makes a game. Don’t care that Sony has started pushing formats that I don’t like. I still have what I like so let them expand.

People seem to always get caught up in the “1st party/3rd party” argument. Seems like a business part of the industry that we, the gamers, are too concerned with.

Just bought it yesterday with funds from my PlayStation Stars. I loved the first game but staved this one off because the map in the first game infuriated me. Still, I’ll give this a go when I’m finished with Forbidden West.

I think it’s great how there’re mixed opinions here. Nothing will ever be universally loved or hated. Me personally though, none of these games will be played. But, to those who will play them. Enjoy!

Edit: I remember when people clamored for Sony to add more Indy games and support Indy developers. Now, Sony gives Indy games monthly and people hate the service because there aren’t enough AAA games 🤣

@ShogunRok I'd like to not play as Ciri. But only because her powers are limited and hot Witcher powers. I don't want a created character because I always feel the story gets deeper with an actual character and not a generic created one. I love when other characters say "Geralt", or "Kratos", or "Nate" and not some arbitrary moniker they call the created character.

Good news! See as how The Witcher III is my favorite video game this is very interesting! Wonder if they'll continue Geralt's story or go the new wave and make Ciri the main?

@MightyDemon82 remember there's still Spelling Bees, science competitions, etc. Kids are doing exactly what we did at kids. I believe we've just become the griping adults who used to tell us video games will rot our brains lol. Not every kid is a gamer or isn't into academics. It's just that the kids who are into science and reading don't get recognized like the kids who post themselves playing Fortnite and COD.

@MightyDemon82 Which is fine, right? They want what they want. If a kid plays a certain game and wants currencies for that game I don't understand people's frustrations with this.

Honestly, we older people need to just leave these kids alone! Times are different now. They do things the way they do them in this new digital age. Nothing "sad" or "disappointing" about it.

I was thinking recently how Starfield didn’t really seem to make a splash in the industry. I’ve never played it but it seems odd for a game from Bethesda to not garner much acclaim. Also, nice to see narrative games being nominated. I love a good movie/game.

I love it! It's my 2nd favorite PS behind the PS2. If it had more fantasy RPGs (not turn-based) like the PS2 did, it would be my favorite PS console.
