I remember seeing something about this a while back. I'll need to complete the rest of the series before this guy shows up.

Been wanting to fully jump into Castlevania, so I might get that collection. Only game I've had for the longest time was Castlevania Chronicles for PS1.

You know, I was gonna skip this, since I'm not a Soulsborne fan, but if Ghost of Tsushima doesn't show up this year, I'll probably get it.

Seems like a standard controller to me.

Can't say I'm super excited for a purely streaming platform so soon. It seems like an ok idea in theory, but it's gonna need a lot of work put into it.

If the rest of the DLC is going to be different variations of characters we already have, season 2 is already shaping up to be disappointing unless they are really fun to play as.

Gimme a break. This was the one thing I was hoping they wouldn't do for this game. That price, for two characters and a bunch of cosmetics? Politely suck one.

All the people throwing fits about lady bits should focus on this instead. It may be optional, but you can't tell me this is good value for money.

I'm definitely iffy on grinding more for outfits. In DOA5, you just unlocked an outfit by completing a game mode as a character. Definitely sounds like they went backwards here.

I love this site, and I'm glad to see it's going strong even after 10 years. I'm surprised that I've been here for about half of that, give or take.

Strongly considering it, as I've been a DS owner for 14 years and somehow never been able to play this series.

I've never actually been able to play Samurai Shodown. It's something I need to get into.

Art style is very good, it's like a prettier Street Fighter IV.

I'm glad Under Night is on the lineup, but I'll admit I forgot about the new Samurai Shodown. That should probably hold off this year, and put Guilty Gear or DOA on it instead.

This seems like it's everything I expected, and that is not a good thing, as I was expecting this to tank and I was really hoping I'd be wrong.

Looks like I'll still be waiting for the real BioWare to stand up.

I haven't actually played Trials since HD dropped on 360. Probably get Fusion in the future, might pass on this one.

I'm currently typing this with a wrist injury, which probably tells how I feel about the man more than any sentiment I have.

Nonetheless, I wish him well. I know I've gone on about not feeling anything for the corporate part of gaming, but Reggie was one of the few I liked because he showed his love for games and it was there to see. He's definitely an icon.

After seeing the clips on YouTube, I have to say, I'm absolutely disgusted. There's clearly no shame on display, I can't condone this. It's 2019, in this day and age, this is unacceptable. I cannot describe the low standards shown. I'm not sure if I want the game now.

You just can't have character's limbs clipping through each other like that. It's pathetic enough that Nyotengu's legs clip through her arms, and even Bass' arms for that matter, but Bass' back muscles clip through his singlet! You can not in good taste have graphical oddities like this in games anymore. It's unacceptable.

Still use mine. Unfortunately, too much Mortal Kombat and God of War must have did something to my barely half a year old controller, so I need to replace it again.

Like any company, they'll say whatever they need to say to keep their product stable. If Microsoft or Nintendo were in the same position, it wouldn't be any different.

It's not really something I approve of, and I understand any bitterness, but I also think it's worth noting Dragon Quest is more familiar to Nintendo audiences anyway. Only four mainline entries are originally for PlayStation consoles (One of which is a Japan only MMO), two of those being remade on 3DS, with remakes of IV and V for PlayStation consoles being Japan only. There's also spinoffs on PlayStation systems but they've been released on Nintendo systems as well. Maybe it's a loyalty thing.

This means that this is highest selling release in the series, if you want to count it. Crash 1 sold 6 million, the highest of the original games. It hasn't outsold the original games combined yet, as Crash 2 and 3 both sold 5 million and CTR sold 2 million.

I fully agree with this. I believe that gaming is at it's best when all of the major platform holders are doing their very best. I want to see good games from everyone. Between Nintendo's online and Microsoft's lack of games, they could be so much better than they are now, and it's a shame to me. Just because PlayStation is my preferred system doesn't mean I want them to fail.

I've said it before, but console wars are just dumb to me. Nobody wins and there's no teams. There's just gamers. Nothing wrong with preferences, but there's nothing right about being a jerk because of those preferences.

Insomniac is probably my favorite developer. Between the original Spyro trilogy, Ratchet & Clank, Resistance, and Spider-Man, they've made consistently entertaining games with very few hiccups. The only real flop they've had I can name was Fuse.

Here's to 25, hopefully a new Ratchet & Clank on the way, and of course, all hail Dan Johnson.

The "base" version of this didn't even get a western release, so why would this version get a pass? It's not going to Switch in the west either (edited for clarity), and if Nintendo is supposedly more lenient, I doubt Sony would give it the time of day.

I still don't think Cross-Play is anything above a peripheral feature at best, and that's coming from someone who isn't against the idea.

I'm expecting Cross-Play wars to replace console wars at this point. Why do people get so bent out of shape about it?

Managed to get it a day before release a week ago, and it's the only game I've been playing since. Been a fan of the series since the beginning, and while it's not perfect, it's been amazing to play through and is easily one of my favorite games this gen. I'm really close to finishing it now, and I can say I'm definitely pleased with how it turned out.

I had the free version of DOA5. It was during the period of my life where money was tight, so I appreciated it. Gonna get a full retail copy of 6 this time around.

@lacerz Yeah, that's what I've been saying since this gen started. Hopefully the new systems have a good amount of space this time around. I dunno how everyone else feels, but I wouldn't mind paying a little extra for the console if there's good storage.

I really look forward to this game. Maybe I'll actually try my hand at making something. Either way, hope this will be great.

I've had Dissidia for a bit now. I haven't played it as much as I'd like, but I've enjoyed what I've played.

I actually liked Snow in 13. Lightning was doing nothing for me, and I appreciated him at least trying to be a hero. I will agree that 13's overall cast was pretty meh.

I just want the game.

@Amusei That actually makes me feel much better. I'm still not sure if I'll get it, but it's not a hard no if that's the case.

I'm too much of a pansy for horror games, so I doubt I'll buy it. I did watch someone play the original, and I know that spiders, my bane of existence are in the game. If they're in this, I know I'm not buying it.

So my 2018 went like this-

50 different games played.

Top 3 games are Persona 3 FES (230 hours), Kingdom Hearts 1.5+2.5 (132 hours), and WWE 2K17 (122 hours).

Top genres are Fighting (20 games, 93 trophies and 420 hours), RPG, and Action Adventure.

I had 4,322 hours clocked, with 32 of those playing online, the rest locally. I played 14 consecutive hours, and played in 301 days this year.

I play the most at daytime, my prime day being Thursday.

I've earned 574 trophies. 1 platinum, 17 gold, 80 silver, and 476 bronze.

I saved $34 with PS+, and unsurprisingly, the game I played the most online is Tekken 7 at 31 hours.

I'm not gonna do the full monthly summary, but here's where I got the "mosts" in.

Most games- January, 20 games.
Most trophies- December, 94 trophies.
Most hours- March, 478 hours.

I am a Masterful Warrior. If only that translated to my fighting skills.

But yeah, this was a cool thing. Shame it wasn't PlayStation overall, but seeing my stats from 2018 was still fun.
